@Tofu35 I guess it does put the pressure on them too! I've also got a GP on the day that I'm planning to test so if it is actually a BFP at least I could talk to him about it, maybe fast track some tests. Who knows. Not getting my hopes up and also not too bothered if BFN this month (I'm sure I won't be saying that in a week!)

@Bramleyapples13 not daft at all! A lot of people know we are TTC (including my boss now 🙈) but none of them really get it as they're either not there yet or had their children easily. It's good to chat, it can be a very lonely time!

@Bam27 I felt exactly the same on my mega long cycle too - I only tested on the 10th flashing day because I happened to have one test left so thought may as well, and it went static. There definitely comes a point when it's sensible to just ditch them all though. I really feel for you, it's so horrible waiting!

At least if we all get BFNs we can have a little drink over Christmas - every cloud...

2dpo and symptom spotting already. So much for not being worried about conceiving or not this month 😳

Tofu35 · 25/11/2020 16:36

Typical, on my month off I have loads of EWCM today. What a waste! 😭 The daft part of me just wants to cancel the December plan and dtd now, "just in case" this is secretly The Month.

But the tests need to happen because it's been over a year with no positive results. Just need to be patient!

Daffodil21 · 25/11/2020 19:54

Oh @Tofu35 that must be so so tempting!! But getting tests and answers/peace of mind is also so important. If you're worried about lack of EWCM you should give pre-seed a try!

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 25/11/2020 21:46

It is hard keeping it secret when you feel you need people's experience so you lot help!

Are a few of us going to be in the same FW?

And what's people's opinion on Preseed?

Daffodil21 · 25/11/2020 22:03

@Bramleyapples13 I used pre-seed for the first time when I last conceived so I would absolutely recommend it. May have had nothing to do with it but with a go! Have you tried it yet?

OP posts:
Tofu35 · 25/11/2020 22:25

@bramleyapples13 we've used it a few times in a similar way as you'd use regular lube, but never tried using it before sex with the applicator. Definitely give it a go!

Daffodil21 · 25/11/2020 22:41

I've never used it as lube (we use conceive plus for that), only with the applicator. The first time was easy (when we conceived) but I used it a couple of nights ago and it wasn't as easy! Def worth a go though and will def use in the future

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 26/11/2020 20:44

We've not tried it but I've been having a look. It's got loads of positive reviews. How do the different types of it work?

Daffodil21 · 26/11/2020 21:39

@Bramleyapples13 I thought it was all the same stuff but you can buy it with the applicators to insert internally? I may be wrong though

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 26/11/2020 21:44

I did wonder about the logistics of that one. Running off beforehand to get ready and then going 'ta-daaaaa!' didn't seem the way to go so I thought I must be wrong 😂

Daffodil21 · 26/11/2020 22:50

@Bramleyapples13 thankfully we have a spare room on the way to the bathroom, so I keep it in there and quickly pop it in before going to bed! If you don't have a conveniently located spare room you could do it in the bathroom? DH doesn't know it's in beforehand..!

I was 1 day late and AF arrived this morning. I wasn't really expecting it but when my period didn't arrive yesterday it allowed me to hope.

I keep losing track of how long it has been. I just realised I'm now going into my 9th month of TTC. We started in April this year and if I had gotten pregnant in my first try I would have been close to giving birth by now. I'm now worried that something is wrong. Because we do everything perfectly, DTD very regularly, always catch ovulation every month. But I've never even seen a shadow of a positive line. Feels like I never will at this rate.

Bramleyapples13 · 28/11/2020 11:51

I may get some to try.

It's hard @acaciabluebell a friend has just told us they're expecting and due next June 🙄 I'm obviously happy for them but did have a cry and was upset. Have you discussed going to the doctors or any next steps?

acaciabluebell · 28/11/2020 11:56

@Bramleyapples13 I would like to but I'm worried I won't be taken seriously by my GP at the stage. I'm really worried because I think I may have endometriosis and also have some worries about DH's sperm as there doesn't seem to be a lot of it (TMI loool). I'm half tempted to go to my GP and say it's been a year anyway because I know the waiting lists will take months. I saw on another thread that someone went to their GP this month and was given an appt in May 2021!!

Bramleyapples13 · 28/11/2020 13:47

@acaciabluebell I would go to the GP and say it's been a year. Only because I've had my referral for the fertility clinic and they've not done any appointments throughout both lockdowns so I know my appointment won't be for a few months at best. Then at least you're in the queue.

acaciabluebell · 28/11/2020 15:33

Thanks @Bramleyapples13 I've requested an appointment with my GP. At least I can start talking about it even if nothing comes from it. Feel very nervous about taking this step but think I'll feel better for it in the long run.

Bramleyapples13 · 28/11/2020 16:55

@acaciabluebell it can be just knowing that there's help and a next step to take. And just seeing what comes from there. I was surprised that they stopped doing appointments though. How have they made the decision that fertility services are non-essential?

Daffodil21 · 28/11/2020 20:02

@acaciabluebell I went at about the same point as you and told them it had been a year. They will take you seriously. They'll do the standard hormone blood tests and if anything is picked up the will refer you for further investigations.

@Bramleyapples13 I think it depends where you live. I've had scans, bloods and apps through lockdown, with the GP and the fertility clinic. The only difference was our fertility app was on video.

Having a shite day today. Just feeling really shit and hopeless about it all

OP posts:
Bramleyapples13 · 28/11/2020 22:23

@Daffodil21 my GP did blood tests for me and SA for my OH then we had our referral. I wish it was the same process everywhere.

I think today's been rubbish too. I spent this morning in tears after my friends news. I hope you're alright.

Daffodil21 · 28/11/2020 22:28

Also just had the tiniest bit of brown when wiping at 5dpo so obviously I'm now wondering if this is implantation bleeding. So fed up of this endless cycle and it taking over my life

EekFirstTimeTTC · 28/11/2020 22:35

Hi everyone ☺ first time on here actually posting but I feel like I'm going crazy. I don't feel I have anyone to talk to as we have made the decision to keep this to us to not put any pressure on this journey. Ironically its somehow making it just as stressful not being able to talk to anyone. I came off the Depot about 1 year ago - worst side effects 😠 then had my first period about 3 months ago. Currently 5 days until AF and super anxious. I feel like I'm testing all the time then trying super hard to find the second line whilst I know it might not show up till next week. Oh and its our first time TTC so new to all of this. Hope you don't mind me jumping on here and joining the convo?

Bramleyapples13 · 29/11/2020 15:08

@Daffodil21could it be implantation bleeding? I know it's easy enough to say but I have everything crossed for you.

@EekFirstTimeTTC hello! I only do the OPK tests but don't do any pregnancy tests until my AF is definitely late. Otherwise it would drive me doolally.

Daffodil21 · 29/11/2020 18:43

Welcome @EekFirstTimeTTC it is definitely a stressful time but you are amounts people who get it! Do you test everyday? Sometimes I test early so I can give myself a reality check with that stark white and not let myself get too carried away, but sometimes I try and wait. It's so hard to put it out of your mind isn't it!

@Bramleyapples13 could be, but it's probably just my body being a bit messed up from mc. It's actually starting to look like the beginning of AF, even though my ovulation day is the Monday just gone 🙄

@acaciabluebell how are you doing? I hope you're feeling a bit better today?
