AF got me this morning 😔

Tofu35 · 04/10/2020 10:43

Another AF over here. Here's to next month!

blueelephant91 · 04/10/2020 11:01

Hi everyone! I'm late to the party, af is due tomorrow and I've got all signs af is on the way. Hating waiting. This is cycle 7 for us TTC baby #2.

acaciabluebell · 05/10/2020 08:13

TMI alert.... Currently going through the worst AF ever. It's heavier than usual and completely full of clots which is so abnormal for me, I don't normally get clots at all. I normally start with light red spotting (no pad needed) on day 1 but this time I literally starting passing lots of super dark blood and clots from the beginning? The pain is also super unusual, I normally have a relatively painless AF, only sometimes I get mild cramping on day 1. I'm on day 2 now and still cramping a lot. I feel sick and faint and tired and my boobs are still so sore that I can't sleep properly. Called in sick to work today because I feel so terrible. I'm sorry, rant over 😔

Lcamsmith · 05/10/2020 08:39

Hey ladies I need some advice, I got the implant removed in December and af has been pretty regular since (around 42 day cycle) me and DH have been TTC since. But I'm currently on day 5 of no af. But I done a test this morning and BFN. But I've been feeling exhausted over the last week. Should I just wait for AF or what? I don't know what to do because I was so excited to be late and now it's just disappointing :(

CEW19 · 05/10/2020 11:35

@acaciabluebell That's annoying! My periods have changed since we started TTC, came off the pill in October last year, and carried on as normal for a while, but recently I've been bleeding for a week, where usually it would be similar to you - 1 light day, 2 medium, 1 light. Not sure if it's because of preconception vits though? I've just switched to just Folic acid and Vit D so will let you know if next month is different.

@Lcamsmith I'd wait a couple of days then test again.

Dogscanlookup · 06/10/2020 20:17

Hi guys! I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been on, I wanted to check how everyone was getting along!! @acaciabluebell how are you feeling today?

Dogscanlookup · 06/10/2020 20:20

@Daffodil21 IVE JUST CAUGHT UP AND SEEN OMG I AM ABSOLUTELY OVER THE MOON FOR YOU!!!! Congratulations!!’ 💜💜💜

Tofu35 · 06/10/2020 20:48

Hey @Dogscanlookup how are you doing? Thanks for popping by :)

Dogscanlookup · 06/10/2020 22:31

Hey @Tofu35! I’m good, had an 11 week scan today and all looking well. How’s things with you?? I miss this thread! You all helped so much!

Tofu35 · 06/10/2020 22:52

Aww that's brilliant @dogscanlookup! 11 weeks has just flown in :) things fine this end, DH got his semen analysis back, and it's all looking okay. So now we're waiting for an appointment at the clinic to see what the next steps could be!

Hope you've found a good thread gang in the pregnancy part of MN!

Daffodil21 · 07/10/2020 13:23

@Dogscanlookup thank you. Trying to take each day as it comes atm and trying not to just be an anxiety ball! Apart from work (wfh thankfully) I'm literally doing nothing! So glad to hear all is well with you - the time has flown by!

@Tofu35 and @acaciabluebell I'm so sorry AF has arrived Flowers

CEW19 · 08/10/2020 11:05

@Tofu35 did you go through GP for tests? I had my tests done through a private clinic a couple of weeks ago which were all 'normal' and DH had his test this week which all looked good too. And that was it, no suggestion of what happens next or anything. They phoned DH with his results and he didn't think to ask (typical!) so now I'm just wondering if they just think "all is normal off you go"

Welliedays · 08/10/2020 11:45

Congratulations @daffodil21 I remember the stressy days in the first couple of weeks so well after my chemical the previous month. I'm 11 weeks now so hopefully everything will carry on OK. Got my scan in 10 days time, had my booking appointment a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully everything is going in the right direction. Work is a great distraction I find, but yeh.. Doing anything else is not really happening!!

Tofu35 · 08/10/2020 14:35

@cew19, had blood tests done recently and other half had his semen analysis. Next month I have telephone consultation with a doctor at the assisted fertility service at the hospital to talk next step. Unsure what that will involve, I suppose that's why I have a telephone consultation to talk me through it all 😅 presume more tests!

Has your GP given any idea as to what else you can try?

CEW19 · 08/10/2020 14:41

@Tofu35 We went straight to the private clinic as we haven't been trying for quite a year yet and the local clinic had a sale on lol. So we had a phone consultation, then I had a blood test and ultrasound (both came back fine) and DH had his SA this week (also looked good) but they didn't say anything else. Just here are your results have a nice day.

I know it's totally normal to take up to a year, but thought they would have given more info for what to do once we hit that 12 month mark I guess, especially since we'd paid for it. Just need to be more patient!

Tofu35 · 08/10/2020 14:53

@CEW19 oh that's frustrating! If you haven't already, it would be a good idea to update your GP with all these test results so they are informed and there's clear documentation on what you've done already etc. Means that if you get to the year (I'm one of the 12+ months folk now) they can help.

Who knew TTC is actually a test of patience!

Daffodil21 · 10/10/2020 07:51

@Welliedays thank you. Yes, on one hand I don't see how this one will be any different to the others, but then I have to remind myself that I did lots of things differently prior to conception this time in terms of supplements and some lifestyle changes. I've also just been prescribed a LOT of medication through a private clinic, so hopefully that will make the difference. I'm still very early on, I'm just looking towards the end of the month and hoping we get that far (and further, obviously), as that would be further than we've ever got before. I'm just taking it easy and one day at a time. Also been finding work a good distraction as I've had a busy few days thankfully (wfh).

I hope your scan goes ok!! I can't believe it's that time already for you!

@Tofu35 when I was referred to the fertility clinic I had a scan and more blood tests. The bloods were mostly because of my history though, I'm not sure I would have had those if not. My DH had to do another SA but that's not necessarily a bad thing as lots can change every 3 months! I hope it goes well for you

Oh my gosh congratulations @Daffodil21 !!!! How far along are you now??? I specifically came on this thread hoping to see you'd got a BFP!

Also Hi @JTB123 *waves ! Glad to hear it's going well, hope the sickness passes soon!

Scary where the time goes... I'm almost 22 weeks now, had the 20wk scan last week and all looks fine so finally letting myself believe it and get excited! Just started buying some baby things and realising how totally clueless I am about actually looking after a baby!

JTB123 · 13/10/2020 15:47

@Poppyismyfavourite wow 22 weeks ❤️❤️ I'm 15 now! It's going for quickly and I look back at the first 12 weeks and think and an anxious, nervous wreck I was but I'm so much better now 😂
My husband has just had a positive covid test this morning so I've had to push back my 16wk appointment and my flu jabs 😫 so annoyinggggg!! Fingers crossed he keeps his germs to himself, I'm just stuck in for another 13 days now!

Glad things are going well for you 💓 xxx

Poppyismyfavourite · 13/10/2020 15:54

@JTB123 yes pretty well thanks, although I've been unwell the last few days with a bad cold (not covid - got a test!). They seem to be hitting me harder since being pregnant, and of course you can't have the good drugs, I've had tonsilitis twice already!

Daffodil21 · 13/10/2020 16:07

Thanks @Poppyismyfavourite I'm not very far along. I think I'm only 5+2ish. I didn't track last month so I can't be completely sure!

Don't worry, I'm sure everyone is clueless when they have their first!!! Glad all is going well for you ❤️

Poppyismyfavourite · 13/10/2020 16:36

@Daffodil21 still that's great news, I will send lots of sticky vibes your way!

Tofu35 · 14/10/2020 14:04

Loving seeing all the old posters coming back with their updates, hopefully I'll be joining you all soon! It's coming up for FW so fingers crossed this is a lucky month :)

Daffodil21 · 14/10/2020 14:13

@Tofu35 I would recommend sticking your legs up in the air for good measure 😂 I swore I would never do this, but last month I thought fuck it and threw the kitchen sink at it 😂 (I also put some pre-seed in before)
