@Quercus3 you have good willpower!! Hold out for as long as you can, it'll be worth it when you see that strong line! Mines the 5th, I was originally testing on Sunday because I needed to take northisterone before my holiday because id be due on hol which I'd hate!! But now I might not be going but I have 2 frer's so think I'm still going to test Sunday!

@Juno231 ok so confession....I'm so bad for actually following a recipe, I read them and then make my own interpretation depending on the ingredients I have 😂 but loosely followed this...

I used honey instead of the pomegranate molasses and added some extra veg and red wine. Also used chicken breast instead of whole chicken. Had it with couscous. It was yum!

So girls need advice, we weren't supposed to be out this weekend but we've just got tickets to this little pop up social distancing festival near us in Gisburn, on Saturday, I'm usually a drink till it's pink mind set but with testing on Sunday IF I was to get my BFP I'd feel horrendously guilty, so the question is do I drink like I normally would or not?

I'd say drink! There's no placenta at this point, just a yolk sac. At least that's what I tell myself 😅

@Cocoblue22 I know can't believe it, G cup seriously?! 🤣

@Vil10 Personally I wouldn't drink if I could enjoy myself without drinking, BUT I have been very strict on not drinking throughout TTC and not a big drinker anyway. Saying that I definitely couldn't go to a social event like that and feel comfortable not drinking. My pregnant social life is going to consist of friends houses and cups of tea, not pubs drinking soft drinks!

Hi ladies, I feel like AF is coming. Odd cramps, achy boobs and I'm grumpy 😳 Despite my many faint lines. I'm sad but then happy it will end my line saga and I'll finally be able to start TTC again in a new cycle. Will keep you updated and if AF does arrive I will definitely need some recommendations for some ICs that actually work.....

@Vil10 well technically I am in FW because my high readings on CB tend to be for 3 days then il get my peak so taking it as I'm already in FW😬😬😬 also with the drinking I would totally just drink as normal as it's completely fine until like 8 weeks I think. I drank like a fish the week before I found out I was PG with DS as it was my birthday and by then I was actually already 8 weeks and only just realised but he's fine 🙈😂x

@Vil10 drink but not too excess? Do you reckon you could do that? I bet you'll be able to as it'll be at the bk of your mind. It worked for me the other month.

Can I join? We're starting TTC number 2 next week. I had to come of meds 3 months ago so this isn't really the start for me! I'm excited and dreading it at the same time. It took 18 months to conceive my DS and I went through every emotion available during that time. I'm not 100% sure I can do it again so I'm praying that it's a much quicker process this time!

Welcome @grandmasterstitch! I'm on month 11 ttc no1 and I'm slowly going insane with it! Any tips to cope? My mind is now wondering to "what if something's wrong with one of us/both of us". I've got blood tests booked in for Aug and Dh is getting a SA done in Aug too so we're starting investigations which has helped, but I'm now anxious about the results lol!

@Ltay2 I haven't drank loads but I've still enjoyed myself and so has OH, especially at the beginning of lockdown when the weather was lovely!! Oh yeah pregnant social life would be the same, tea and walks!

@Vil10 personally I wouldn't do a nights drinking if I was as far as testing time and didn't feel af was on the way. A drink or maybe two but wouldn't have a big night. I know I would just feel to guilty or worried if I then got my bfp. But I think that's probably more about how I would feel more so than the actual risk (I've read at that stage it has an 'all or nothing' effect but info seems sketchy)
@grandmasterstitch welcome. My first took a year to conceive and second was instant so you never know!

@Vil10 I think that sounds like a good plan tbh! I basically did the same last week! Tested at 11dpo and bfn so I got smashed at my sisters baby shower and it was a great day 😝

@Katao I think I'd forgotten your first took a year. It's reassuring to hear that some couples do just take longer sometimes.

@Vil10 I am trying my hardest to get back into the swing of things although proving more difficult than I thought with OH on his game as soon as DS is in bed 😭 lay here in my matching underwear for the 3rd night ina row and its a different set not the same one and waiting 😈😂 I would be so pissed off if I got AF after a night out where I hadn't drank I think I'd be more pissed off I hadn't drank than upset if I'd drank and got my BFP 😂🙈

@notyetamumbuttrying no tips really but solidarity because it sucks! It feels like everyone around you is getting pregnant at the drop of a hat. My best friend told me she was expecting when we've been trying about 15 months and I cried for days. I was happy for her but so so sad for me. Sorry, that's probably really unhelpful!

Just keep on really. We had the tests done and all was normal which we were pleased about but it was almost disappointing in that there was no reason for us being unsuccessful. I actually had an appointment booked with the fertility clinic when I found out I was pregnant.

I really hope it happens for you soon! And that you get some answers/reassurance from the tests

@Katao really hoping that's the case for us! Although I think I would panic a bit if it happened first time!

@grandmasterstitch very much so! I won't list all the women I know who are pregnant at the moment (including my sister with her second, who was on the pill 🙈).
Thanks for the solidarity and encouragement. I do feel like giving up sometimes but we at least need to keep trying for two years. I might have a month off once the year hits as it is a chore at times!
I hope you're ok now that you're off medication. So much luck for ttc no2!
