@VP91x @MichT4 honestly how she has managed to conceive 5 children is beyond me 🥴she knows absolutely nothing about ttc or ovulation. some people get all the luck 🙄 witchcraft indeed 😂x

VP91x · 24/07/2020 15:14

@Stayinghopeful92x 😩 I was like that back in my blissfully unaware days until the MC. I miss those days! 5 children wowzas, she must be busy with them all. Our bodies are sneaky f*ckers, and do the opposite to what we need.

@MichT4 that's okay, I'll keep going through the webinars. I'm making little notes, haha. Yes, just have to find the right way to manage it and get ovulating regularly. Then I think I'll be in with a chance, definitely not taking the SI today xx

@Stayinghopeful92x my friend and her partner planned last year to ttc and that week she stopped her pill and waited for her AF to come. One week off the pill she found out she was already pregnant about 6 weeks. Baby was born last month. So easy lol

VP91x · 24/07/2020 15:20

@MichT4 on a lighter note - just started watching MAFS Aus - S4. Looking forward to the drama!

@VP91x it's so confusing isn't it.. best I can figure out, I sometimes ovulate and sometimes dont. And when I got pregnant this time round I didn't get a peak on opks so it is just such a minefield of guesswork.
So I was properly diagnosed quite young (22 i think) because I'd never had regular periods. My now husband and I had been talking about getting married and I knew that if there was something wrong I should try to find out before we actually started trying for a family. I had a feeling I had PCOS just from what I'd heard about the symptoms. So it took a few months for me to get a scan and when I had it there were loads of small cysts on both ovaries and some larger ones on one side. Bloodwork confirmed PCOS with probable anovulation, but my GP was brilliant bless her, I have a wee feeling she had PCOS herself as she seemed to know so much. She gave me so much reassurance and talked me through different fertility options available for PCOS, she said as I was so young to go au naturale for a year once we decided to have a baby and if there was no joy then to come back and start on step one which was metformin I think, or maybe Clomid after repeating bloods to see if ovulation was still not happening. I wasnt overweight so she just advised continued healthy eating etc. And I made the decision not to use birth control at all.. it was maybe a bit earlier than we'd thought to be starting a family but given the circumstances I didn't know how long it would take!
My sister in law has just had her first baby after trying for 3/4 years, she found out she had PCOS too. It's amazing how often it pops up in your life once you are diagnosed! You suddenly seem to come across so many people who have it 🙈 such a high prevalence and some people have huge families without even realising they had it!

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 15:32

@VP91x oh you'll love it. I was watching it earlier but could feel myself dozing off so I turned it off and had a power nap. I'll watch it again soon.

We also have only about 3 more episodes until we finish new girl and I'm genuinely a bit devastated about it 😂

@1990EM not sure if you've said before, but how long did it take you each time? I assume you never did have to do step one?

Stayinghopeful92x · 24/07/2020 15:40

@VP91x me too takes the joy and innocents right outta it. They definitely are.

@2020wish see so lucky and easy for some 😂

I have never taken any contraception so always had pretty normal cycles each miscarriage has messed it up then went back to normal. I am early occasionally but not late 🙄 only dtd cd 9 11 and 13 so so gave up hope for late implantation and must had ov late

Not wasting anymore money on tests but considering a micro phone to start hollering up there 📢hellllloooo.....flooooo 👂🤷‍♀️

VP91x · 24/07/2020 15:42

@1990EM thats amazing that she was so supportive! Yeah definitely, a few of us on here even. I'm glad you managed to conceive naturally for all three pregnancies. I've just had my LH and FSH levels back.

LH was 11.7 U/L
FSH was 4.9 U/L

I have no idea what they mean though, they've classed them as normal on the report. I'll have to google and then ask on Monday, haha. Xx

@Stayinghopeful92x 😂😂😂😂 that's made my day. Maybe you could try smoking her out... If there's a will there's a way. Xx

TTC after MC - July/August 2020 (Thread 8)
MichT4 · 24/07/2020 15:59

@Stayinghopeful92x 🤣🤣🤣 and if all else fails, try and hook her out?

@VP91x I hate when they just say 'normal', I feel like I need some context.

VP91x · 24/07/2020 16:03

@MichT4 I just done a quick google and found that actually even though it's within normal there is still an imbalance.

"While many women with PCOS still have LH and FSH still within the 5-20 mlU/ml range, their LH level is often two or three times that of the FSH level. For example, it is typical for women with PCOS to have an LH level of about 18 mlU/ml and a FSH level of about 6 mlU/ml (notice that both levels fall within the normal range of 5-20 mlU/ml). This situation is called an elevated LH to FSH ratio or a ratio of 3:1. This change in the LH to FSH ratio is enough to disrupt ovulation."

@Stayinghopeful92x haha, exactly. Lure her out xx

Mine has almost a x3 difference between the two levels. Also just re looked at my thyroid tests they done before my TSH was 3.55 and again within normal but have also now read that above 2.5 isn't ideal for TTC 😐 xx

@VP91x you're gathering some really useful data though, will hopefully be a really positive appointment on Monday now as you have all your ducks lined up 🐥

VP91x · 24/07/2020 16:11

@MichT4 doctor is going to hate me, going to go in like 'help me, give me the drugs' 😂 xx

Runnergirl1 · 24/07/2020 16:12

@VP91x - so I went into hospital again today and I’ve passed most but still have the sac remaining but it’s close to the cervix so I’ve decided to wait another week and see if I can pass it naturally, if not I’ll get myself back in and have an intervention. But I am booked in again 7th August for yet another scan 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s mentally exhausting this I can’t lie x

VP91x · 24/07/2020 16:18

@Runnergirl1 Oh I'm so sorry, you must be feeling upset that things haven't moved on. Being stuck in this limbo is the worst, you almost want it over and done with quickly so you can start to heal. ❤️

OP posts:
MichT4 · 24/07/2020 16:19

@VP91x good! Make them hate you so much that they just want you out of the room. Pretty sure that's how that doctor said yes so quickly to my blood tests - I reckon it was all over my notes that I was a lunatic lady xx

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 16:21

@Runnergirl1 gosh how frustrating. Especially when they can see it right there. Are you still bleeding at all? At least they are continuing to see you, hopefully you'll get the all clear at the next appointment

VP91x · 24/07/2020 16:23

@MichT4 I've been reading through my notes because I downloaded the NHS app which btw I had NO idea existed and once you verify yourself (took an hour to be processed). That's how I saw my results etc. I'm surprised it didn't say I was crazy too 😂 xx

OP posts:
Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 16:24

@VP91x about $34 on Amazon USA so that's probably about right xx

Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 16:28

@calimommy I just got a peak the other day and then got AF. As @VP91x said, apparently some of us can get a second Lh surge before AF. Lovely isn't it 😫 as if things aren't confusing enough for us!

Northernsoul90 · 24/07/2020 16:35

@VP91x Thank you! I'll try that next time or I don't mind Ben and Holly, Mr Tumble was driving me crazy xx

@Stayinghopeful92x Sorry that you're still in limbo! It's so frustrating. 5 week month 😂 made me giggle xx

@Runnergirl1 Sorry that it's still ongoing for you 😞. Hope you are okay. It's good that they are still monitoring and seeing you next week, hopefully everything will have passed by then xxx

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 16:46

@Northernsoul90 Ben and holly are ok until you hear too much from the droany grown up fairy thing. Same voice as one of the peppa pig characters.

I don't have kids, just nieces and nephews, hence my sketchy recollection.

Currently we watch a lot of the pineapple pen song. Google it 😂😂

@VP91x what?? We can see all our results? Maybe I can see what mine were years ago. I'm going to check

xx

Diorissimo1985 · 24/07/2020 16:52

Ladies, need a bit of a handhold.. I’m not testing until tomorrow but I just know AF is on her way. Very emotional, angry, twinges in tummy, and IBS is playing up. I’ve been crying on and off all day Sad I’m so fed up of all the TTC and getting nowhere with doctors. Just keep thinking I’ve been pregnant twice this year and there’s still no baby. Sorry to be a downer... xxx

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 16:59

@VP91x I've just submitted my stuff. I'm worried I'll see something in my notes that I don't like 😂
'Emotional, unstable, self diagnosing issues, do not pick up the phone'

@Diorissimo1985 I'm so sorry you're feeling low today. I totally understand the way you are feeling. What did your doctors say when you last spoke to them? xx
