@Northernsoul90 we did DTD this month although I didn't check ovulation or anything. If nothing more shows up by Monday I will test. Don't want to get my hopes up.

Northernsoul90 · 24/07/2020 13:07

@CasperFlamingo No I understand that completely, you never know though... fingers crossed for you anyway and /or hopefully if no bfp af comes soon so things are clearer for you x

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 13:09

@Northernsoul90 what did you do with your nephew in the end?

@CasperFlamingo I think being a bit more relaxed can only be positive. The ideal is to test when you are definitely late, just tricky sometimes. I hope it's been a lucky month

Northernsoul90 · 24/07/2020 13:26

@MichT4 I managed to keep him entertained at home with nursery rhymes on YouTube and Mr Tumble... the weather was so rubbish here all day. How are you today? X

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 13:33

@Northernsoul90 did you end the day wanting to smack Mr Tumble in the face?
I'm fine thank you, really tired. I made the mistake of laying on the bed earlier and almost fell asleep. Given I'm working I thought I better get up and make myself a coffee 😴
Otherwise fine thank you. Had a bit of a temp drop last night, not really low but definitely away from where they have been. Not overthinking it, will just see what happens.

How are you? xx

CasperFlamingo · 24/07/2020 13:50

@Northernsoul90 @MichT4 thanks ladies. Trying to be relaxed - have developed quite painful cramps on the front since lunchtime, but I am out and about currently so have to wait a little while longer to see if anything major is going on below (never have my nether regions been so closely observed!).

I have heard that sometimes the first AF after MC can be a replay of the pain associated with MC in the first place, so going to get myself home and then strap a hot water bottle to myself.

Northernsoul90 · 24/07/2020 13:50

@MichT4 Yes don't overthink, it's tempting but we start over analysing every little thing our bodies do. It all gets a bit much. Mr tumble was driving my up the wall by the end of the day 😂I couldn't take any more! Ooh I'd love a coffee but I'm drinking too much caffeine at the minute I need to cut down as I know it's not great for conception, I drink tea by the bucket load. Im good thanks just been and got some Pom juice as I'm hopefully (I think) entering the tww, it's so expensive though! Not sure how much to drink per day xx

chloedancer897 · 24/07/2020 14:00

Thanks @VP91x I'll be testing 13th August 🤞🤞

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 14:00

@CasperFlamingo 😂😂 I hope your nether regions know how much they are considered these days!

@Northernsoul90 this is probably entirely unhelpful but I have a glass a day. Not a big glass, and since @SmileyT 's tip, I dilute it with water because I found the taste a little overpowering and quite frankly offensive 😂. I'd estimate 200-250ml a day but I don't measure it, or know if that's enough.
I think @VP91x said a bottle of Pom lasts just over 3 days so I think that would seem about the same measurement

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 14:03

Oh and @Northernsoul90 I drink decaf most of the time, so it'll do sod all to my tiredness. I think mentally the taste makes me feel like I'm having a coffee.

CasperFlamingo · 24/07/2020 14:03

@MichT4 I'm pretty certain my nether regions hate me 😂

Northernsoul90 · 24/07/2020 14:03

@chloedancer897 Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@MichT4 Thank you! I was thinking a glass... I bought 3 bottles but will probably need another to last me. I will need to take a loan out if this goes on for months 😂😂

calimommy · 24/07/2020 14:26

Any of you used the Femometer OPK? I've done so many OPK but not used this brand before. They've been giving me such faint results compared to other brands, so much so that I am sure I missed my window this month. I've continued testing throughout the month and now they have gone really dark. 🤷‍♀️

Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 14:35

@calimommy so funny that you mentioned that! I tried using them and always got really faint lines on them. I thought maybe I have a dud box. I actually just switched back to my pregmate ones because I found the Femometer ones hard to read.

VP91x · 24/07/2020 14:40

@MichT4 yeah, really useful thank you so much again for them! How did they figure out it was stress induced? Just a series of tests? I am interested what has potentially caused the flare/worsening of symptoms. I've been feeling so achey around the ovary area today, it's probably period related but feels unusual to my normal cycle.

@Mommybear05 Not yet, I have an appointment with the GP on Monday and I have sent them across the private scan report so I can discuss it with them. Hopefully they offer me some options! Hope you are feeling okay today?

Thank you @Runnergirl1 how are you feeling? xx

@Rainbowhope11 How much did you pay for the pregnitude? I was having a look online and it's about £35 a box if I am looking at the right thing? I am really glad it seems to have helped you regulate your cycles, that's really positive. Hopefully this month is less confusing for you with just one peak and not too long of a cycle.

I got all emotional reading your message @1990EM thank you so much for the re-assurance and I am so happy for you that everything is okay with your third baby. What did they say to you initially when they found out about the PCOS? I am going to continue tracking with ovu sticks and temping, I won't use the CB though because they've detected a peak even though I haven't actually ovulated so, no point wasting the money on them. How is your little bean getting on?xx

@CasperFlamingo Oh no that is so frustrating, maybe it is just taking its time moving down? Hopefully it comes along soon so you can start a fresh with a new cycle xx

@Northernsoul90 I think about 150ml-200ml is about okay. A bottle normally lasts me 3 days like @MichT4 said :) x

VP91x · 24/07/2020 14:44

@calimommy I have always used them aside from this month and they go really dark when you actually get a peak. I used the Easy@home and I don't think they showed a peak and if they did they it was super hard to read as they show dark most of the time anyway. So I think I'll go back to FM this month xx

@Northernsoul90 Just saw you spent the day with Mr Tumble, he's torture haha. Paw Patrol is manageable they have good stories xx

Wow another bus already playing catch up as always 😂.
@VP91x so sorry to hear about ur diagnosis how are u feeling. Can't really help much as dont really know anything about it but reading some of the girls stories am sure they will help u if there's anything u need to know ❤.

@MichT4 glad u told ur mum and she has a chance to be there for u. Even just telling takes weight off.

@SmileyT hope ur wee bun is cooking well in there 😁.

@renna how are u getting on any sign of af yet

Cant update with test day yet still here in no man's land waiting for flo 🤦‍♀️🙄 8days late as if the ttw isn't bad enough 😂 last tested again on Wednesday still nada so no more tests and just wait it out. My sister keeps saying its a 5 week month I mean whats that to to do with anything 😂(fertile witch ) I mean how would she know she has a perfect cycle and get pregnant evertime she drops her drawers 😂. 5 week month 🙄honestly its never happened before and there been plenty of 5 week months 😂.

Congrats to any bfp I have missed bope everyones well xxx

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 14:54

@VP91x do you know you didn't ovulate this month then? I think they say with PCOS you can have multiple surges of LH in a month, but not sure if you'd get a peak from them or just high readings. Might explain endless flashies in previous months.

I think initially I was pointed in the direction of stress related because I didn't present any of the typical symptoms, aside from no periods. I wasn't struggling with being overweight, or have the issues with hair or other signs of high testosterone. I was recommended testing my cortisol and I decided to do it and it came back super high, so it all just seemed to line up. Even more so when I addressed it and got a cycle back.

Possibly it's just because you had no reason to check it? As you said yesterday, you didn't really think of your cycles before, and they don't seem to be hugely irregular and you are having periods and ovulating some months. That's why I think and hope it'll be a nice easy management for you xx

calimommy · 24/07/2020 14:54

@VP91x @Rainbowhope11

This is today, it looks dry in the pic but it was wasn't, the horrendous countertop probably setting it off. I'm due AF today or tomorrow so if this is a peak now I'm seriously eye rolling. About ready to throw in the towel on this business.

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 14:58

@Stayinghopeful92x 😂😂😂 that made me laugh. I'm with you, no idea what a 5 week month has to do with anything. Witchcraft 😂

Thank you, it did help telling my Mum. Definitely feel I have a lighter load today.

@calimommy I use the femometer ones (only second month) and they have been dark for me - a peak detected both months. I haven't got experience with any others though so I can't offer a comparison

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 14:59

@calimommy gosh that is dark. I know someone said recently that theirs went dark just before AF. Confusing either way. Why can't anything be simple on this damn journey

VP91x · 24/07/2020 15:01

@MichT4 I am not 100% sure about this month, but last month I got a peak on CB and not cheapies and I definitely didn't get any temp shift so I knew I didn't. This month I had the same, peak on CB no definite peak on cheapies but a what looked like a temp rise and those rocky temps afterwards with the bleeds quite soon after - so I am inclined to say maybe I didn't? Two cycles a go I got a definite peak on cheapies ( ran out of CB sticks before I got my peak) and clear temp rise so probably did ovulate then?

That all makes sense, was the cortisol level done via blood tests? Yeah this is true, although might explain why I have always put on weight easily etc! I'm more annoyed I didn't know about this before, but just have to try and manage it now.

@calimommy That is definitely a positive OPK, but apparently it is normal to get a LH surge pre-AF but also you can get one if you're pregnant... hormones have alot to answer for! xx

VP91x · 24/07/2020 15:02

@Stayinghopeful92x made me laugh alot about the 5 week month haha! I can imagine a very confused facial expression when she said that. Hope it turns up soon and has you out of limbo x

CasperFlamingo · 24/07/2020 15:04

@VP91x thanks lovely - I don't really know what's going on. Horrendous cramps have now miraculously stopped. Getting the faintest smidge of brown. Thought stuff it, will do a pregnancy test. Negative. So either AF is on her way, but being a teasy little minx, or my body's playing silly buggers.

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 15:10

@VP91x do you know what, I can't remember. It was a private test, cost a bit (also can't remember but I recall having to consider whether to have it) and I'm pretty sure it was saliva. It'll probably crop up in a webinar at some point, if you get that far.
I can try and look it up otherwise.

It must be almost reassuring knowing now what was going on all those times. It's so great you pushed for a test and diagnosis. I'm sure it doesn't feel great, but if they can even get you ovulating every month then your chances are increased and you can relax about that at least xx
