Bleeding in early pregnancy HELP PLEASE

Graphic photo, sorry!! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with bleeding in early pregancy and how much you would have bled? And how to compare early preganncy bleeding to a possible miscarriage??

Speak to your doctor. I had a lot of bleeding in early pregnancy but had an early scan and blood tests and everything was okay but I was worried at the time as it was heavy. Fingers crossed for everything is okay for you x

I had an episode of gushing blood before 8 weeks in both pregnancies. I have two healthy children.

I had a very heavy bleed at around 6 weeks - luckily everything was okay. I would call your doctor and they might be able to arrange a scan for you for a check up. Hope everything turns out okay for you OP.

Thank you! This really helps keep me calm. I'm so worried, I had a miscarriage a couple months ago and now I'm affraid it's happening again. I've only recently found out I'm pregnant, I'm barely 3 weeks :(

@jessica753 I can't help withpersonal experience but my sister and my sister in law both had WhAt they thought was a period at 4 weeks pregnant when their normal period would of been! Xxx

It could be implantation bleeding - apparently this can happen around when your period is due.

I know it’s easier said than done but try not to stress

I took a test there now and it had an extremely faint line, it feels like my pregnancy is fadeing away :(

I lost that much blood. Decided I couldn't be pregnant. Thought I'd conceived the next month and found that my dates were a month out. It wasn't AF I was pregnant all along.

That’s hardly anything! I had a heavy period amount with DS1 over about a week. With this pregnancy I had a sudden hush of A LOT of blood (about half a pint in under a minute) and scans are showing DS2 is ok.

I've had early bleeding (like a period) in three pregnancies and everything was ok. For me it was always a subchorionic haematoma. Good luck x

Hi @Jessica753 just wanted to say I'm really sorry you are going through all this stress.

I recently had a very early miscarriage and the worst bit for me was the waiting to see if the bleeding progressed or not and hoping it would stop. For me I knew relatively quickly that it was a miscarriage as it started out brought pink and progressed to red over the course of an afternoon and was quite heavy the next day with cramping. I think brown is supposed to be a less concerning colour than bright red as its older blood.

I completely agree with what everyone is saying though , lots of times bleeding can happen in pregnancy and everything turns out ok, fingers crossed that for you that is the case and all is well.

Oh sorry and I had lost all my pregnancy symptoms in the days leading up to it, I just kinda didn't feel pregnant anymore so was half expecting it.

I would wait and see what happens doctors won't really do anything till your further along I know I've had 5 consecutive miscarriages now .. but no all bleeding is bad news I once had implantation bleeding with my son the same as yours .. have you had any cramping ? Xx

Thank you for being so open and honest with me and im so sorry you had to go through that. I appreciate you telling me all of this ❤️ my symptoms are still here but my test lines seem to be fading xx

I have been getting faint possitives from Monday but yesterday I got a very clear possitive on a first response test.
Ive had consistent cramping all week honestly, with my son, i had none of this I think that's why I'm so confused and worried.
I also had a miscarriage over a month ago so I'm worried it's happening again although I didn't have bleeding when it happened. I'm sorry about the 5 miscarriages you had, hope you are okay xx

Hi OP. I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I know how stressful it is. This has happened to me three times. Once it was fine, and twice it wasn't.

Can I just clarify; you said you're three weeks pregnant. Do you mean it's three weeks since ovulation? Usually it's measured in weeks since your last period started. (Sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs). Just how far along you are will influence whether an Early Pregnancy Unit or midwife can do anything to help you to understand what's going on.

Are you having any pain with the bleeding? When my bleeding did not end well, I had really bad cramps with the bleeding.

I’m sorry your going through this, any bleeding is always a worry. It can be completely normal and Quite common.
It depends on how Long the bleeding goes on for and how heavy.... bleeding for 3 days Straight is more likely something isn’t right. If it’s very light, and/or it is on and off bleeding it’s less likely to be something to worry about.

The blood in the first few pics looks light, the second is a bit stronger. But hard to tell. It certainly doesn’t look like a lot or very dark red or clots.

It’s awful to have to wait and not know, but you will only be able to tell with a bit of time. It’s agony I know, but it depends on how things progress.

Definitely talk to the doc tomorrow and get some advice.

I didn't realise that oooops, I guess that means I'm actually 4 or 5 weeks pregnant now.
I am having some really bad cramping, it's been happening all week consistantly though
