Graphic photo, sorry!! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with bleeding in early pregancy and how much you would have bled? And how to compare early preganncy bleeding to a possible miscarriage??

@Bouncytree
Thank you!
Its not heavy, I've been wearing the same pad all day and it's the same as the first pic however when I go to pee more comes out or when I wipe there's some. It kind of looks like there's little bits of red dots in a clear /pinkish discharge now.
Thank you so much for the advice xx

I have been getting faint possitives from Monday but yesterday I got a very clear possitive on a first response test.
Ive had consistent cramping all week honestly, with my son, i had none of this I think that's why I'm so confused and worried.
I also had a miscarriage over a month ago so I'm worried it's happening again although I didn't have bleeding when it happened. I'm sorry about the 5 miscarriages you had, hope you are okay xx[/quote]
It's okay lovely only thing I can suggest is wait this out time will tell I really hope you have a sticky bean ❤️ xxx

Pootle40 · 16/07/2020 19:53

I had this with both pregnancies from the moment I found out I was pregnant through to 10 weeks or so. Hope it all works out for you.

Glitterandunicorns · 16/07/2020 20:01

@jessica753 I'm sorry but the GP/ midwife/ hospital won't be able to do anything to help you at the moment. The hospital will only scan you if you're about 7 weeks pregnant, as that is when it is visible on a scan. Before that, they'll just tell you to monitor the situation.

I'm sorry. I know how worrying it is, especially when you're having pain too.

Also in my second pregnancy after the gushing blood they did an ultrasound. I was almost exactly 8 weeks from the date of my last period. But I turned out to be 12 weeks pregnant: I’d had a slightly lighter than normal period in my first month of pregnancy

Jessica753 · 16/07/2020 20:43

@LaLaLandIsNoFun
Thank you for sharing that with me. I'm starting to feel like this is a miscarriage although I'm not filling a pad and nothings really happening as soon as i go to the toilet a good amount of blood comes out, is that similar to what happened to you?
It doesn't look like what my period would look like though, it's like a dark pink with red dots in it, small tiny dots

LaLaLandIsNoFun · 16/07/2020 22:13

I had gushing - both times.

The second pregnancy we could see the evidence in the ultrasound. It was unclear whether it was a hematoma or a twin.

The first pregnancy we never got to the bottom of what had caused it.

It is hard but there is nothing you can do and you will drive yourself crazy. Hugs

Hope your okay lovely try doing a test tomorrow I really hope for you it Isent a miscarriage I know al too well the pain and disappointment it brings I've got everything crossed for you please keep us updated xx 😘

Landlubber2019 · 16/07/2020 22:30

Only time will tell as the early pregnancy unit may not be able to say either way and a test is an indicator of pregnancy hormones which take time to disipatate if its not good news.

Get lots of rest and fingers crossed for you x

RainbowJ1 · 16/07/2020 22:43

Fingers crossed that everything turns out okay.
I had spotting almost everyday from about five weeks until eleven weeks then I had a massive bleed and definitely thought I’d lost the baby but turned out it was a bruise on the wall where umbilical cord had attached itself and then reattached elsewhere, which caused the bleeding. I now have a very happy and healthy 8 month old baby girl!

chubbyhotchoc · 16/07/2020 22:46

I had more than that and it was red with this one. 20 weeks at the moment. I've also had miscarriages that I spotted with at the start. It can go both ways tbh

mamalicious3030 · 16/07/2020 23:01

Hello OP don't panic I bled a lot for many weeks. I think till about 15 weeks big clots and everything. But all was fine with me and baby. All the best xx

MrsB2019x · 16/07/2020 23:09

It’s worth giving either your GP or EPU a ring - they scanned me when I had my ectopic at 5+4 and they did see it, though they initially said they wouldn’t scan me until 6 weeks. At least if you phone them you’ll be on their radar

2155User · 16/07/2020 23:20

Bad cramping and heavy bleeding 4-6 weeks on and off.

Thriving 2 year old DS currently asleep next to me.

I wish you the same positive outcome

Jessica753 · 16/07/2020 23:41

Hello everyone
I was lucky to get a very early appointment with my doctor this morning and it's been confirmed that I have infact had a miscarriage, the spotting turned to heavy bleeding during the night followed with horrific cramps and a lot of bloody mucus. I am devistated but the doctor was very helpful in helping me prepare to try again. This is my second miscarriage since starting my journey to have a second kid and I feel completely broken but I want to say thank you so much to all of you for helping me last night and being open and honest with your own stories ❤️❤️ I'm taking a break from trying for a while to mend my heart ❤️❤️ thank you again. For everything
