@VP91x ahh sorry - I missed that part - it was a pretty hot day yesterday..it’s hard to drink (but not too much) hold pee (but not so much you get a uti!) but the soy isoflavones seem to have worked well!! xx

@HE88 sorry to hear af is on her way :( Are you back to school soon? (Am I right in thinking you are baed in Scotland?)

Bellabubble · 14/07/2020 23:18

@he88 I was thinking maybe work as a distraction might help the ttc journey..I’m hoping the summer hols are going to reduce some stress levels..but on the flip side, the tww’s are going to drag!! xx

HE88 · 14/07/2020 23:37

@Bellabubble yip I'm in Scotland, schools are back middle of August however, I'm a supply teacher so no school to go to as of yet. This probably hasn't helped with my stress levels although I've been trying not to worry about it but that's easier said than done. Xx

1990EM · 15/07/2020 00:30

@Pugprincess and anyone going through recent MC/ waiting for bleeding to stop.. I know this maybe isn't common but I ovulated just a couple of days after bleeding stopped post MC. Like literally 14/15 days after my MC. I had been 9.5weeks along and I MC naturally.. I know each situation is different. but just wanted to say it is definitely worthwhile checking OPKs early because if i hadnt done a chance one I would have missed it. I was so fortunate to catch it, I just got high readings never a peak but dtd a lot anyway around that time and got pregnant again straight away. It's bittersweet because my gestation is also the exact number of weeks since I lost our last baby.. as you count the first day of bleeding as CD1. Hope all those who have recently joined and are going through it now find as much help in this group as I did.💓

Niisa · 15/07/2020 00:44

HEEYYYYY LADIES!!!! My goodness do these threads go fast!!! I've been watching silently as I've been sick as a dog! Congrats to all the BFPs since I was last on here! FX for the rest of you 💕💕

Pugprincess · 15/07/2020 01:43

@HE88 snap! I’m a supply teacher too! I applied, interviewed and was accepted for a one year contract as a level 2 teaching assistant for next year. I just wanted some stability but without the stress of teaching workload. Seems like schools need more adults to run all the extra interventions that will be needed to catch the kids up. Even on supply I did TA work cause working in lower primary I was finding the works really drying up because so many schools use their TAs to cover classes now to save money. I know it’s not for everyone though taking that step down. I’m looking forward to still teaching kids but without the stress, I know the pays crap but I will be paid holidays now so it’s all swings and roundabouts. X

Pugprincess · 15/07/2020 02:04

@1990EM thank you I will certainly be monitoring. At the moment my preg test is still faint positive so I’m assuming I won’t ovulate till that’s neg? I’m going to be checking that every day and will keep you all posted on that. So from mc my cycle day one would have been 9th July which makes today cycle day 7. Pre mc my ovulation was bang on around day 14 and I used to start testing (if I was going to) around day 10. Like I say before I had only tested sometimes to check it was still day 14. Rest of the time we just did it around those days and hoped for best. To be honest some months we didn’t even check when day 14 was we just lived our lives, had unprotected and untimed sex and left it up to fate. But tbh I don’t think that helps cause our sex life isn’t active enough for that so then your relying on a once a week or worse still once a fortnight DTD to work. For this pregnancy we did time it, I remember just saying to him let’s have one last try it’s day 14 today. And I think we did it day 15 too. And that was enough. After 5 years of not a single positive or close call you really start to all but give up. I was 99% sure I couldn’t conceive naturally. We were ready to call fertility centre to start IUI. I literally have the clomid tablets ready in my cupboard and all I have to do is call them on day one of a cycle to start it for that month. I was really hoping to avoid treatment though as it’s such a long back and forth process and I was dreading having to try to get out of work. For anyone who’s not familiar with the IUI cycle it’s something like this:
-day one cycle call unit to let them know
-day 2,3,4,5 take a clomid tablet each day
-around day 10 ish go in for a scan to check ovaries and how many follicles (if too many they stop there as they don’t want you to get twins or more because of the dangers)
-if follicles are safe to proceed they need husbands sperm which usually involves hubby being late for work, giving me the sample to keep warm so I usually stick it in my bra 😅🙈 and rush it to hospital within an hour from leaving his body.
-I would then need to inject myself at home to release eggs
-go back by day 14 egg release to have sperm put up and then it’s the TWW.
**also during this time you have to go in for covid tests too.

So yeah it’s a lot of work, much nicer and easier if you can do it naturally so even though my pregnancy ended badly it felt really good to be able to do it. We pray it wasn’t a fluke and can be done again more quickly. I honestly think working two jobs and long days really screwed me up. Past 4 years I’ve done that so we could afford to get married and buy our house. There’s no need now, aslongs I can get by I’m happy. Xx

chloedancer897 · 15/07/2020 05:10

12DPO and a BFN on FRER so I'm out I'm guessing. I really thought this was it. I don't know why I feel so symptomatic and yet I'm not

VP91x · 15/07/2020 05:49

@SmileyT check this out for a temp drop, the laws of BBT say that today will be ovulation with that dip, right? 🤞🤞

@chloedancer897 oh no way 😩😩 shit, I'm sorry. Will you test again tomorrow? Or wait for AF?xxx

VP91x · 15/07/2020 06:03

@Pugprincess oh wow, that is a process. I hadn't ever looked into how IUI worked. Is it expensive? I'm assuming so.

Fingers crossed you don't have to go that route.

@Bellabubble I know I'll be glad to not have to do an OPK. How are you xx

@Niisa hope you're okay and the sickness isn't too horrible xx

MichT4 · 15/07/2020 06:15

@VP91x blinking hell that is a dip. Looks like you might have a picture perfect chart this month!

@chloedancer897 so sorry to hear that, I felt positive for you too

@1990EM thank you for sharing that - had you got a negative pg test first or did you just start OPKs after the bleeding stopped?

xx

SmileyT · 15/07/2020 06:47

Morning ladies...

@MichT4 is your office quite close to home? And yes I think it's a great distraction, I think the days I took off after my surgery for MC last time were the hardest, not getting dressed and being able to cry all day, getting back to work was definitely better for me. And obviously I didn't catch 1st month but I started opks as soon as bleeding stopped, had a faint positive 2 weeks later and ovulated 4 days after that (confirmed with temp rise). The stuff I read said that having residual hcg in your system doesn't actually stop you ovulating which is why some people don't see a fully negative test if they catch 1st month 🤔 xx

@VP91x mmm yeah I reckon ovulation day today then... did you get up early? Let us know if the opks lighten up today aswell X

@2020wish what a fantastic birthday present that would be... ohh what was the new hobby? x

@Niisa hi 👋 how are you doing? Have you actually been physically sick? Or just feeling 💩? x

@chloedancer897 ahh that is rubbish, your symptoms were so good!! Don't beat yourself up and maybe try again if AF is late xx

VP91x · 15/07/2020 06:55

@SmileyT no, woke up normal time, slept all night too as kept Bella in my bed so I literally didn't move 😂. Hope ovulation is today! Yeah will do a couple more opks today.

@MichT4 hope so, I'll be gutted if nothing happens this month again. How are you today xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 15/07/2020 07:22

@SmileyT no I’m about 50 miles from my office, a 45 minute drive on a good day. Just got here. Totally agree about getting back to work, different for everyone of course but my sister said to take time off and I couldn’t think of anything worse
Thanks for the info, I guess I’ll just try OPKs straight away and increase the number of sticks per day once they get a bit darker.
How are you today?

@VP91x I’m sure you’ll see a rise this month, hopefully tonight! I’m fine thank you, impatient as always but keeping busy. Did MIL stay again? xx

MichT4 · 15/07/2020 07:27

How are you @VP91x? xx

fafi · 15/07/2020 07:41

@chloedancer897 oh NO! I'm gutted for your BFN! 😔

@VP91x oh yes the only way is up from there!!

@pugprincess thanks for sharing that process I actually had no idea how it worked.

VP91x · 15/07/2020 07:45

@MichT4 Glad you are feeling okay and work is helping keep you distracted. That is quite a commute! Does the traffic get bad sometimes?

Yeah, she stayed again last night 😒. Just dropped Bella off to nursery. It's a big day today as it's her first proper day of potty training. Sent her in with like 40 pairs of pants 😂😂.

Going to get ready and get out of the house! Xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 15/07/2020 08:10

@VP91x it’s not normally too bad, but it helps that I get here at about 7 and leave by 3. Sometimes there’s a big accident which obviously is a massive pain, but I guess that can happen wherever.
Where are you off to today? xx

MichT4 · 15/07/2020 08:15

😂😂 @VP91x made me laugh about the pants. Bless her, I hope she gets on OK with it xx

Firevie · 15/07/2020 08:17

Morning ladies! So, I had my ERPC yesterday and got home last night. So far all good. Still bleeding but doc said it is normal to bleed for a bit after the procedure. I will be taking each day at a time. So, here goes my first question for anyone who has sadly had to have an ERPC - how long did you bleed for afterwards? Wishing you ladies a great day. Sending positive vibes xxx

Rebecca1992 · 15/07/2020 08:21

@chloedancer897 Im sorry to hear that....Stay positive and test again in a few days maybe. ❤

1990EM · 15/07/2020 08:25

@Pugprincess and @MichT4 I had just got my first pure white negative preganacy test and decided to to an opk the next day. Turned out being quite high, cue all the dtd! Husband wasn't complaining because we had agreed not to dtd until a negative PG test so it had been a long couple of weeks haha. What @SmileyT said must be true because my body was obviously gearing up to go before I got my negative gets post MC. have to be realistic though as I know the EPU said it could be 6 weeks or more until your cycle comes back normally. Felt like a total miracle for me to ovulate so soon because with my PCOS my Dr was unsure that I even ovulated every cycle normally. My cycle lengths could range between 4weeks and 3 months, disaster for ttc!
Just don't want anyone to waste a cycle and rule out early ovulation post MC and miss it! Totally acceptable to wait till first AF though before trying again, I can see the benefit of that too. Sometimes taking a cycle off can help and immediately after MC give your body a reset.

@chloedancer897 gutted to hear this! Totally understand the frustration. Is it possible it was a late implantation?

1990EM · 15/07/2020 08:26

@VP91x a beautiful dip there! Hope this is the perfect cycle!

1990EM · 15/07/2020 08:28

@DBTJ I've been thinking of you. How are you? Any news? X
