Ovulation buddies starting July 8-14

Hey everyone,

Anyone else just started ovulation or about to start in the next week. Let's start a chat and keep ourselves busy as we head through ovulation and the dreaded 2WW.

Little about me this is my 2 cycle at TTC Baby no.1 I'm about to start ovulation on fri or sat, so going to make the most of this week. I've ordered some IC ovulation sticks hopefully will arrive in next couple days and I will give them a try out. What is everyone else doing to prepare themselves for ovulation???

@BabyH88 I got my BFP 4day to AF I would test either tues/wed but I only had faint lines then.

@lastbany try amazon I filling them a lot cheaper then the chemists

@Sexnotgender & @Milliemoo222 thanks ladies! I'm actually fine! It was our first month and I didn't track ovulation properly, just on flo which I've learnt can be way off so ready to got down to business next month 😂

I’m 9 DPO and naughtily did a test this morning - can u have your thoughts and advice please? OH said he don’t see anything so have filtered it for you guys to see what you think?

@lastbany I am thinking to wait for a week. Today I was due and no signs of AF. I will wait till next Friday and then test again or in between around Wednesday if I can hold up myself until then haha 😃 Fingers crossed for you 🤞

@Tiff94 ok thank you! I will keep you all updated. I have got CB early tests will that be ok or shall I get some FRER?

Hey! @BabyH88 same here and wondering the same questions. I did a test 7dpo but bfn but since then my symptom spotting is out of control I've made myself believe I have about 5+ symptoms🤦🏽‍♀️

Hope you get your bfp! Have you had many symptoms?

@dano99 oh that's exciting that we are both testing at the same time. I have done any tests and haven't got any symptoms that I have noticed.
We have had a really busy time recently so that has helped with not thinking about it too much.

I don't think I will get a BFP this month with it being our first month ttc and having no idea if the apps are correct about when I ovulate.

What symptoms have you had?

I have finally brought some first response tests! Better to leave until tomorrow now? Tomorrow will be 13dpo

@BabyH88 it's good you've been keeping busy I've been trying and failing hahah
This is our first cycle trying also so feeling the same thoughts as you I'm really not expecting miracles this time around.
My oh is convinced all the symptoms I'm having are just things I normally get before AF just haven't been as in tune with my body until trying (hate to admit but he's probably very right😂)

I've had itchy nipples, some shooting pains in my boobs, nipples have been standing To attention basically all day (tmi mine are normally very inverted haha), shortness of breath, cramps over 3dpo and more cramps since 7dpo-8dpo, weeing in the night which is something I've never done before, light dizzy spells and lightly nausea.

@dano99 it's so difficult isn't it because the symptoms of pregnancy and AF are so similar lol.
I feel pretty normal but I don't usually get AF symptoms until closer to its arrival.
I wee a lot anyway so can't even symptom spot that ha ha!

When will you next test?

We only have 2/3 months of trying then we will have to stop for a bit as we have postponed our wedding to next year and I don't want to be heavily pregnant when we get married.

@Milliemoo222 I tested at 13 and got my BFP on FRER

@BabyH88 my CB showed up at 14dpo darker that afternoon too

@BabyH88 it's so frustrating! I really regret not paying more attention to my body in previous months 🤦🏽‍♀️

I've told myself I'll test tomorrow morning at 9dpo but I've been reading about all these people who get bfp in the evening and might try wait until tomorrow evening. I never expected to be this obsessed especially so soon. My heart really breaks for the people who have been ttc for a long time it must be so stressful. Baby dust all around ✨

So exciting to have your wedding to focus on but such a same you had to postpone it though! I've been reading on so many threads about people postponing their wedding and ttc.

@dano99 As I am a teacher I now have the summer holidays to sit and symptom spot at every moment lol!

I'm going to try and hold out with testing as I don't want to be disappointed.

Might buy some FRER tests as that's what everyone seems to use no harm in have different ones.

@dano99 my lines were stronger in the afternoon then in the morning even with my cheap tests they didn't show in morning but was there is afternoon.

@BabyH88 I'd use the CB closer to AF i here and seen now for myself the pink dye is better then the blue dye.

@Tiff94 thank you for your advice I have just bought some FRER probably won't test until the end of the week, will see if temptation gets the best of me especially as they arrive tomorrow.

Congratulations on your BFP what cycle were you on?

Well kinda cycle two but also kind one haha 😂 we decide last month to start trying but I'm pretty sure when we did we already missed our fertile window so it didn't work but made the month of it this month and it happened so over the moon about it. It's our first after being married two years.

@BabyH88 I'll definitely be telling here first whatever the result hahah Ive got 1 FRER which I'm probably going to use tomorrow and the rest are cheapies.

@Tiff94 it might have been your post I read actually! It's been on my mind all day so will probably give it ago with a cheapie and then again tomorrow with the FRER

Did you use ovulation test strips?
I am thinking if this isn't our month then we will try them next month.

@BabyH88 I tried opk this month the arrived the day before I ovulated so I missed my peak on the sticks I caught the LH surge in its way down. But we DTD plenty enough haha 😂 and it worked.

I know this group has been very blessed with BFP so I know all you other girls will come soon.

@dano99 that what I did I finally seen a line on the cheapie the same day as the FRER but in the afternoon hadn't tested the day before as I'd already had 3days of bfn do I was almost convinced it didn't work until the faintest like popped up on the FREr on dpo13

@Tiff94 I will probably give them a go next month if we are not successful!

@BabyH88 I would recommend using the simple OPKs. I used one once a day and caught the peak, DTD a few days before the peak, a couple of days before the peak and also just after and it worked. I think the more simple you make it, the better. I think it adds extra stress doing any more, which is never good.

@BabyH88 I just got a pack from amazon there was 20 or 30 I think plus 10 pregnancy test for like £4 they worked both. I used the app femometer as you can scan the LH sticks and get the % of low high and peak which is great to see. Fingers crossed you don't need them though 🤞🤞🤞baby dust girls 🧚‍♀️

@Birnam I totally agree we did every other day from AF until I knew I was ovulating then did 3 in a row. Keep it stress free
