I'm just stupid enough to choose to pay for private insurance 🤦🏼‍♀️ if I didn't have complex medical issues I'd totally go with the public system - all my experience with it have been excellent - but going private means I have consistency with all my specialist and no waiting lists for appointments and procedures etc. Also means having your baby in a fancy pants hospital (more like a hotel 😜), and you can stay for 4 or 5 nights after birth in a double bed with your hubby/partner. So there are some perks for the hefty price tag!

@Blodyn91 you are right, I should've done, I just didn't want to seem ungrateful & seeing as we were both there kind of interrupting each other's lunch (but it was nice) I was conscious not to overstay each other's company

@cocoblue22 my upstairs (the only place where there is carpet, literally gets hoovered once every 2 months now, used to be every week). Cos dogs not allowed upstairs it tends to stay nice. Downstairs gets trashed so twice a week Hoover/mop but god I didn't realise my fitness regime has made me so strong to break the sockets! Meh @SmileyT I'm pleased to make you lol, currently in bath washing hair cos WE ARE GOING OUT THIS WEEKEND & DS at my parents tomoorw night 🥰💕🥳hence DH SAYING shag fest tomorrow

I correct myself, we are going out, then stopping in.... going out for lunch then I'm not sure but I hope slobbing out fir the afternoon, & DH has just dropped off cheese & nibbles /olives/bread type platter stuff for a lazy tea mmmmm I think it might be a movie night in. there was ice cream & herseys choc but we don't have a pouffe though???? What do we doooooo girls???? 😱You may have to quiz without me I'm getting treated 🎈

Sorry to go on....but.....agghhh!
So multiple bfns. cd38 of usually 28ish day cycle. Peak opk cd19. Did opk 4 days ago for the first time in probably 10 days. It was verging on high. Did one the next day it was low. Didn't do one yesterday. Just did one and it was snow white! Anyone any theories???? Could I have missed another peak before restarting opks? How late can you actually ovulate? I'm at a loss. I'm just being really impatient and need to wait it out? I'm sorry @lucyrp I know you have been in this boat a hell of a lot longer than me, don't mean to be insensitive just feeling really frustrated today!

I am feeling horrendous today, tired, heartburn and Now been sick aswell as feeling nauseous all day. Trying not to symptom spot but It’s hard not to 😩

@SmileyT I'm just feeling really thirsty and more tired and got sore boobs. Had waves of nausea but not been sick it's mainly if I'm hungry....also I don't remember this from last time but I'm like freezing cold all the time my hands feet and nose are like ice cubes! X

@Skip86 that hospital sounds amazeballs. My DH slept on the hospital floor at the side of my bed for 5 nights when I had DS he was freezing. They wouldn't even give him a pillow or blanket! X

@Minster2012 you can add 'champion socket breaker' to your list of accomplishments! Surely that deserves a big trophy right?!? Makeshift pouffe? Some sore of child's table?square object? Stick a blanket Over it and a cushion? 😉 where there's a will there's a way x

@cocoblue22 what a mean hospital, I had a couple of nights in labour and they made DH a makeshift bed with mattress and all, they even got him meals, so he wouldn't have to leave me, when I went to the ward they send him home to sleep, but the other mums would have complained if he stayed

When I had my DD (now 6), my then DH (now ex lol) could stay in the private room with birthing pool- I had a water birth (I hope I can again this time) but we were actually only in there during the day and then after she was born I had to transfer to the ward because she had a slightly low birth weight and there he couldn’t stay overnight so had to go home at night and come back the next morning, it was 2 nights I think. It was a four bed ward.

@Katao its okay don't worry you're not being insensitive! I'm the same boat as you where as my cycles are 28-30 days and I had a peak on OPKs intact the CB digital on CD14 so classed CD15 as ovulation!

@Franklydear they had just changed the policy to allow partners to stay on the ward when I had ds but if they went out of the ward after 8pm they weren't allowed back in until 8am I think so they weren't having to have as many staff on in the night maybe. So he stayed every night but had to lay down on the floor he had that option or to sleep sat upright in a normal chair! He fetched his own pillow on day 3 after I'd given birth but the first few nights had nothing! He said it was freezing down there! And when I was sat in chair feeding ds I said have a lie on the bed for an hour and they came in and told him off!! They weren't supposed to even let him have a cup of tea but the serving lady took a shine to him so gave him food and drinks all the time and winked at him not to tell anyone bless her! I think she felt sorry for him sleeping on the floor and knew he was a diamond for not leaving my side! X

You'll notice I've been completely MIA this month. I really felt that as much as I love the threads I was putting pressure on myself that wasn't doing me any favours so decided to just forget about it this month. I still did the OPKs just because my cycles have been a bit unpredictable but didn't follow SMEP or anything.

I don't know what made me check today but it just popped into my head 'oooh I'll see what the girls are up to' and then I saw your BFP and was absolutely over the moon for you. I swear you're my spirit animal and my FRERs arrived like 10 minutes after I saw your post about your BFP so I thought 'fuck it' and did a test even though I'm only 8DPO and I swear there's something there!

It's so early, definitely only 8DPO so I don't even know if you'll be able to see it but it's clear as day in real life. It's faint but not a squinter, no need to hold it up to the light and it's definitely pink in colour.

I'm shocked and my OH is out so I needed to tell someone!

@LittleRa oooooo another one that sounds amazing! 🍕🍦yum yum tonight's tea is total non inspirational, but yesssss @vil10 I adore picky tea!! Sadly I think there's no grapes or chutney though (he's not perfect 🤣)

@katao it's so frustrating I know. Totally get it. Unfortunately it could be a cycle where you may not have ovulated. For no particular reason. Occasionally it can happen but it makes for a longer cycle, & can have spotting. Maybe even stress can cause it. Have a look at anovulationary cycle. Maybe phone your doctor? But like @lucyrp found they don't care about OPKs much 😬. It's just all a bit shit.

@Noble89 if you wait another two days it will be a lot darker - I did another at 9 and 10 days and you can see a big difference between 8 and 10dpo x

@Cocoblue22 thank you! Like everyone I'm just so desperate to have it confirmed but it's always a nightmare to get a photo this early. I had a molar pregnancy last year and didn't get a BFP till 11DPO so in a strange way getting one early makes me feel better. Like this one might be different.

It's faint but clearly there and pink in real life. I'm home alone and needed to tell someone so this was my first point of call 💙

@Noble89 OMG I've been wondering where you were 😭 thanks, obviously still so early and still nervous but also really bloody happy!! You're like 7 days behind me, definitely test in the morning with FMU and you'll get a stronger line. I can't see the colour in the pic but can definitely see the line, I'm so excited for you especially after everything you've been through... this would be fantastic news x

@Skip86 think I just assumed it was all private as I know another girl out there who had a baby in June and had the most luxurious experience, she said you just had to call the nurse and they would change nappies etc had a shock when she got home 😂

@Cocoblue22 ooh I've never heard the cold thing before but I was freezing yesterday, my friend asked me how I was wearing a hoody when it was so hot, our bodies are strange aren't they, weeks indicators arrived today I wonder how long I'll hold out 🤷🏾‍♀️

@Noble89 congrats definitely a line looks like mine that I took at 8dpo last Saturday I took one this morning and the line is darker than the control line 🥰xx
