So today I woke up from a dream where OH and I were having sex but he was already awake and drinking a cup of tea before leaving for work and ever since then I have honestly been horny all day.... the day has dragged so much and been texting OH all day telling him how I feel and the bloody idiot hid from me when I got home 😂 but we did then have very good sex I mean he pretty much touched my nipples and I was gone but god 🙈

My exciting parcel has arrived 😂 those of you that use these, I know it says to use FMU after longest sleep, sometimes that would be around 4am for me if I can't hold until 7am when my alarm goes off. Would you be testing at 4am half asleep and hanging around in the bathroom for 5 minutes waiting for the result? At this rate I'll be wide awake at 4 taking my temperature reading and OPK then not getting back to sleep at all and pissing OH off in the process 🙈

@Ltay2 why don't you pee in a pot and then test when you actually wake up ?

@SmileyT I did wonder where "Ken's" legs were too actually in that picture, I'm assuming slipping off the bed??? Then I thought, oh god you are analysing the sex position someone has placed a Ken doll in at 7am! 😳Wait til you see some of the others!

@blodyn91 yes she's very much the wannabe "yorkshire shepherdess" if you've ever seen the programme. Soaked the wool in the bath & made homemade rug, Well, her instalife is, full of pics of homemade game pie for weds tea her & her toddler have made & "gorgeous life just walking the fields with 2 boys & 5 dogs" & i then get messages saying "what do I feed X as hers will only eat toast & beans nuggets" & how she's gonna throw herself out of a window life is so dull. You know, the one who had sex 2 times in the month "when you get the gunk stuff & once more for luck" 🙄each time to get a 15 month old & new baby; sorry going off into bitter rant there 😬

@Busybee143 hopefully some of the others have been more help, an at home donor was the word I was searching for when I just blundered in there with "bloke or baster" cos I didn't know the right terminology but anyway, no matters long as we can try & assist wherever we can. As I'm sure you've worked out, we all TRY to pin point ovulation and STILL end up guessing half the bloody time, it's just that we are slightly luckier that we have potentially more opportunities to try & cover those sneaky eggs 🤪(though having said that I did a screenshot of @TTCmummy2021 amazingly detailed use of a fertility cup to try and keep sperm in 😝)

I've also decided I hate the doctors as she's just told me to POAS again to check that I haven't become pregnant since I last checked. Doctor google also said that people that don't normally get spots can very well get a mild form of acne in very early pregnancy and the most common place is face and boobs and I now have spots on both when I don't normally have spots. I hate TTC. I know I'm not pregnant but why is there always ooo I might be or what ifs. 😡😡

@lucyrp Oh didn't think of that! Is it ok to leave a sample for a few hours at room temp?

@Ltay2 I'm sure I read something in the instructions about if you missed what it said you can press the button and it shows you what your last reading was. You could always do the test then just go back to sleep and check the reading once you're fully awake. Im sure it was the CB digital I read that on but double check the leaflet first incase I picked it up wrong as I havent tried it i just remember thinking that's handy if youve not got time to wait.

@Ltay2 yeah I'm sure it's fine! That's what I had been told to do by a few ladies I'm sure! I've done it before🙈

@Mococo1 mmm I'm a medium chicken thighs, spicy rice, chips and coleslaw kinda gal... they always look at me strange when I order 3 sides but I'm like ' let me live my life' 🤣 and @blodyn91 I was saving so much money when everything was closed now I'm back to spending a tenner on lunch and coffees everyday 😑

@Ltay2 i'd just do it at 7am or if you do it at 4am and leave it until you get up, mine comes back on the screen when I eject the stick so I can always check it later x

@DKDK123 @Ltay2 and yes you can also do the test and then reject the stick and push it back in and it should give you the reading again

@Minster2012 Well my life is definitely not like that 😂 problem is its welsh mountain fleece so very britle. Just been googling how to dye and felt sheep wool into rugs.... sent them to mam, might give it a go....will 100% be terrible

Also bought another pack of OPK, DHA capsules and pregcare vitamins 😳 I came across a thread on MN from someone who had fallen pregnant and was due 8 weeks before her wedding, and most people said it would be fine. Thing is I might not even get preggers....so I am here for another 4 weeks 🤞

Just started on the ass juice again but the golden variety kind. It's not very golden! 😝 the pink grapefruit is definitely nicer tasting! Also upped my coQ10 tablets to twice a day (600mg) to see if that does anything. Kinda up for doing anything these days!

@Ltay2 I'll be testing from Sunday I think so not too far behind you. I use the pink CB tests, no flashing, straight to static smiley ones as my fw tends to be quite short.

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm hoping they actually detect a surge for me and I don't just get constant flashing smiley face as I've never really noticed a definitive peak OPK on cheapies. I'm also taking COQ10 but currently at 900mg daily amongst all my various other concoctions 😂

@Ltay2 yeah maybe pee in a pot and leave it. I use this one and tbh I hadn't even considered that, I'm sure there must have been times I got up in the night and then still just tested when I got up properly. But if you do it often then maybe go with the pot to keep it consistent. Yes as someone else has said, when you eject the stick it will show you the result again if you did just want to do it and leave it x

@lucyrp oh I feel for you 😩 so frustrating that no one is trying to be more helpful. Do a test in the morning and then ring them back. Sometimes you just have to be a pest to get them to do something. Glad you're still enjoying the sex though 😉 x

Worked out that next ov date falls around the weekend which is always helpful as OH grafts in the week and is always so tired 💤 so I've got a good feeling! Just off to amazon to order some new CB OPK tests ☺️ and also going to give preseed a proper go. Lucky cycle 5?! 🍀 x

@Busybee143 - yes I can definitely although I was a little blunt/graphic as @Minster2012 said!!!

So your partner/donor does the business into a sterile pot (easily obtained on amazon). Then get some soft cups (also easily obtained on amazon) and pour the donation into the soft cup. Insert into the vagina (my wife says standing is actually easier!) within 20 minutes otherwise the poor things will die if left out too long!! While your partner/donor is doing their business, go and insert pre-seed (fertility friendly lube) as it needs about 15-20 mins to disperse throughout the vagina. It helps the sperms get moving and assists in conception!

Now the fun part..... orgasm comes next (literally!!!!) as this helps suck all the sperm up into the uterus and tubes so that the egg has none choice but to be invaded . Once you've climaxed, prop yourself up on loads of pillows so your hips are nice and high then do some bicycle movements help get the sperm moving!!

Equally, bar the donation into a pot...... everyone could try this as every little helps!!! ;)
