@MichT4 I'm hoping for the best 😘 The bleeding is actually more common in pregnancy than we think. There is nothing else you can do but continue with your positive outlook on this, dear 😘 and hopefully bleeding will just go away ❤️

Jazper · 07/07/2020 11:46

Thank you @Northernsoul90 , that was a really thoughtful response and it's always comforting to know that others are having similar feelings as myself. I will test again if af is late but not before. I know with some people testing early is better for them as it just cements the negative result and allows them to wait for af, but I am like you, my anxiety goes through the roof.
Are you going for bloods tomorrow? Is that what your app. is for?

HopeForRainbowbaby · 07/07/2020 11:52

@fafi 17th would be 11 dpo, perhaps then I will test first time. My goal is to test on 20th but who knows how I feel in a week time ;) this is my second cycle following second Mc and 4th or 5th following first MC so who knows what happens but at I was able to pinpoint my OV and you did too👍 I have got positive at 9 dpo ( but tested as of 7 dpo) and at 11 dpo( slightest line). And I have been ttc once bleeding stops both times.

@Lollol86 I do both cheapies and CB as ovulation tests.
@vp91x @mrsssk @SmileyT thank you😘

@mrsssk hmm you are already quite late in your tww. I would probably wait till 13 dpo, earliest 11 dpo ( at least I would be aiming at that day ) to be sure.

@CasperFlamingo welcome to the group. I'm story about your loss. It took me with 9 weeks pregnancy around 3.5 to 4 weeks to get negative pregnancy test, few days before period. With second MC it was within few days as I was much earlier too( 5 weeks pregnancy). Both miscarriage were natural.

Nellle · 07/07/2020 11:55

Hi all,

My posting is very inconsistent! Last month I was OBSESSED. Ovulation sticks several times a day, temping everyday, all the supplements, did about 20 pregnancy tests. So, naturally I was gutted when my period came.

I have given myself a 'month off' - still doing the thing of course, but NO conception stuff. NOTHING at all. Didn't even look at what cycle day I was on.

Now I'm deep into my 2WW (CD24) and that painful hope is creeping in again. Did a FR test yesterday, obvs negative. Don't feel like this month is the one.

Is anyone else reaching the 'it's never going to happen' phase? Anyone got any happy stories? Did anyone on this thread get their BFP in the last month?

It feels so unfair after a miscarriage (mine was Sept 2018). You feel like if you've had a pregnancy, you must be fertile at least. That was my only comfort after my loss.

Nearing a bad place. I'm 34 and every single person I know seems to be enjoying their babies. Social media is so painful.

Sorry for the super sad post.

fafi · 07/07/2020 11:57

@mrsssk that sounds super hard, I'm lucky things happened quickly, I think it's the unknown that's the worst thing for anxiety and feeling like you're in limbo!

fafi · 07/07/2020 12:01

@Nellle So sorry to hear about your journey, have you had any fertility tests or anything?

Nellle · 07/07/2020 12:06

@fafi

No not yet. I'm wondering if I should go now. I'm a bit scared because it makes the struggle real. I don't think my husband feels the same urgency as me - he is a few years younger.

xx

fafi · 07/07/2020 12:16

@Nellle I totally understand, if I was in your position I would definitely be at least raising it with my GP - I don't have any knowledge about fertility and stuff but it might help you feel more supported through your journey! xx

Nellle · 07/07/2020 12:36

Thanks @fafi Flowers

chloedancer897 · 07/07/2020 13:04

@MichT4 you could be bleeding from your actual cervix just due to hormonal changes so you might not actually be bleeding from inside your uterus 🤞🤞

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 13:07

oh ok @chloedancer897. Thank you. Fingers crossed that's what it is 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Jazper · 07/07/2020 14:05

I'm really sorry you're struggling with the ttc journey @Nellle . I totally get the obsession - and the need to step away from it!!
What @fafi said - I agree with the advice to look in to testing. I understand your fear of admitting there's a problem, but equally, you may find there isn't. Either way, it's better to start the ball rolling sooner as the process through the NHS (if that's how you intend to go) can be so lengthy. And you may find that you fall pregnant during the wait.
If you scroll back, you'll see I've had my own little meltdown over the last couple of days so know that you are not alone in your feelings of despair.
How did you find managing to switch off from the obsessively testing this cycle? I want to take a more relaxed approach going forward and am genuinely curious how you even manage to ignore cycle days, fertile week etc etc. Did you force yourself? Or did you feel ready to accept what will be, will be?

SmileyT · 07/07/2020 14:13

@MichT4 yeah I think if there was any big issues before 5 weeks then the rest will go negative opposed to a later loss where it would need intervention and hcg has risen much higher. But you don't need to worry about that as I'm sure it will still be a nice strong line for you ❤️ no couldn't face a coffee this morning but having some lunch now and had to grab a Diet Coke as I'm shattered even though I was asleep by 9.45pm 😴 xx

Thanks @Jazper x

@CasperFlamingo i was 9.5 when I had surgery but pregnancy had stopped progressing at 7w4 and I got a faint positive after 2weeks and didn't test again until my period was due (4w after surgery) and just used a cheapie and it was negative x

CasperFlamingo · 07/07/2020 14:39

Thanks @SmileyT@HopeForRainbowbaby@Northernsoul90 for the info. I have to admit I feel totally un-pregnant, even though it was only a week ago when it happened. The temptation is definitely there.

What do people recommend by way of cheapie pregancy tests and OPKs? I've only got Clearblue pregnancy tests in the house - and was using Clearblue OPKs prior to getting pregant.

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 14:47

@CasperFlamingo I use the Femometer ones. On amazon you can get a box of 50 OPKs and 20 PG tests for about £15. I know @VP91x has started using easy@home - we are waiting for the verdict!

@SmileyT thank you for your positivity. Let's see what happens Friday 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I'm tired too, have spent my afternoon occasionally finding myself staring at my screen - feels like I'm asleep with my eyes open 😂

CasperFlamingo · 07/07/2020 14:55

@MichT4 thanks! That's so much cheaper than buying the Clear Blue ones!

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 15:09

@Jazper yes going for bloods tomorrow, I went last week and back again to see what hcg level is so I’m really hoping it’s significantly lower. I just want my cycles back so I can ttc properly again. I would be the same and not test until then and if it makes you anxious it’s best to wait xx

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 15:12

@CasperFlamingo I use one step pregnancy tests the 10miu ones from Amazon they are really cheap for a pack of about 30. If I got a positive on one of those I would probably wait a week and then do a clear blue just because I’m a bit of an obsessive tester 🙈. Last time I conceived I only used clear blue opks but I have also bought some cheap one step ones also from amazon to try this time but I’m yet to find out how good they are xx

Mommybear05 · 07/07/2020 16:00

@Wishingfornumber2 wow cd 42? That must be so frustrating with all the negative tests too! Mc can really mess with the hormones. Has af come in full flow now? X

Mommybear05 · 07/07/2020 16:04

@HE88 it’s great to do that sometimes, just take a break. I’ve been doing that since the mc and have just dtd every other day but I’m kind of the opposite to you now because I’m now at the stage where I want to track a little more. I’ve invested in some clear blue ovulation sticks this time.
Good to hear about the spotting. I was on the pill for years so I don’t know what’s normal. Would be good to get my ovulation day confirmed so I can check luteal phase isn’t a problem!
I think it’s good for you to take a step back from monitoring for a while. It’s possible to catch that way of course so fingers crossed! Xx

Mommybear05 · 07/07/2020 16:12

@SmileyT totally with you on not making it life’s focus! But yes it’s hard sometimes. I hope you catch so you are last that 12 weeks for your holiday too! But it’s horrible setting these little milestones if they don’t happen. Like I was really hoping to catch for my 30th this month and it’s just not happening and it puts more pressure on. Work is picking up more for me now and that helps us to have it not the main focus but it’s hard!

Af came in full flow yesterday. So that’s cycles of 31, 26, 30, and 27 days now. And each time spotting a few days before that. Not regular! Have yours been regular? So the clear blue ovulation should help this time! X

Mommybear05 · 07/07/2020 16:16

@ManchNic that’s good to hear about the spotting. It seems pretty normal and others have a similar experience so I feel better now.

Sorry to hear you have been down with it all. It’s pants when you can’t even have felt like you had hope of waiting! I really hope you feel more positive again soon x

mrsssk · 07/07/2020 16:20

@Northernsoul90 totally with you on wanting cycles back. It's the feeling of being helpless against my body right now that is getting to me. I feel like I'm wishing the days away just so I'm closer to that elusive AF 😑
I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow and you can get some answers.
I rang my doctor earlier who told me to wait and see for another 2 weeks (8 weeks total). Apparently 4-6 weeks is just "the average" for AF to return so it can be longer which is still in the realms of normal so I guess be prepared for the hospital to say something similar to you too.
Have to say it didn't give me much comfort as just want to properly TTC again

Mommybear05 · 07/07/2020 16:22

@SmileyT glad to hear you are feeling such positive signs lately! I really hope you get bfp xx

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 16:31

@mrsssk it’s honestly so frustrating, sorry you didn’t get anywhere with your doctor and thanks for the heads up! 6-8 weeks of being in limbo feels like forever when all you want to do is try again. I wish there was something you could take to speed the process up... I honestly thought having the mva would mean I’d be kind of back to normal within a couple of weeks as everything was removed at once. Most things relating to fertility and ttc seem to just drag on forever I’ve only been trying since last November which is nothing compared to some but it feels like a lifetime xx
