@VP91x I'm taking the pregnacare vitamins and always track my periods so we shall see how it goes

Mommybear05 · 05/07/2020 21:01

@Bellabubble so great you can confide in some people in work and yes to hear 2/3 it is unfortunately more common than you think. The girls at my place are lovely as a whole and I love my job but when like me you choose not to tell then people can sometimes put a foot in it. How are you? Where are you in cycle now? X

Mommybear05 · 05/07/2020 21:03

@HE88 no bfp yet I’m afraid! And got a feeling my body is all over the place even four months post mc! How are you? Xx

MichT4 · 05/07/2020 21:04

Thanks @Tink20058 xx

And I’ll definitely keep you updated tomorrow @VP91x. Sorry I’ve been a little distracted this weekend. I fully intend to get back to being better at following the thread from tomorrow 🥰 xxx

Wishingfornumber2 · 05/07/2020 21:05

@HopeForRainbowbaby good to hear you are feeling more relaxed and have got positives from opks. Enjoy DTD! I am not going to track this new cycle, just DTD every few days and keep an eye on EWCM. See if that gets me anywhere. X
@Mommybear05 I started AF yesterday CD42! But it hasn’t really come to anything, just light pink when I wipe. Have done 5 tests over the last couple of weeks and were all negative. X
@SmileyT yes I am so much more aware now too, before I would think I was just being friendly asking if someone was going to have another baby but now I would never ask as just don’t know what people have been through. X

VP91x · 05/07/2020 21:10

@MichT4 oh my god no don't be silly! Just want you to be okay x

@VP91x
No unsure at what point they'll take things further and with Covid everything has been done over the phone and delayed so last apt was March and next apt is August at the minute but that's been moved three times already. I'm trying to remain positive x

elliew818 · 05/07/2020 21:13

@Northernsoul90 that's lovely you were able to be so supportive to your sister, can't say I'd have coped so well
@SmileyT well I'm from Grays 😳 but live in Hadleigh now, near Leigh-on-Sea. Where are you from?
Welcome @StrawberriCream and hopefully we can get you through the rollercoaster of emotions.

Mommybear05 · 05/07/2020 21:15

@AC2020 oh gosh that sounds awful about the comments when you were shielding! I bet that was very hurtful! Social media too I completely behave differently now. I used to take a look at fb every single day. Now I don’t go on at all, tell a lie, I went on the other day for a quick nose/ catch up. First time in months. I looked at the feed and came off that’s it. And I’m so much happier! I find it a place for people to always show and share their happiness and success which is great but if you feel in a bad place or in a place where you need to focus on getting what you want and not other people. Now I scroll through Pinterest instead and just look at different ideas relating to my own personal interests- recipes, home decor, ideas for teaching or for tutoring my son, beauty recipes, that sort of thing. And I’m focusing on me and my life. I would highly recommend it. I always think my moms generation didn’t get daily picture updates from everyone she knew 🤷‍♀️ She just lived her own life When she was my age and there’s something to be said about it.

HE88 · 05/07/2020 21:16

@Mommybear05 I'm doing good thanks decided to take the relaxed approach this month as I was getting a bit stressed with everything ttc related. I've stopped using opks and writing down every little detail of my cycle and I've just been dtd every couple of days. With regards to your spotting I get that every cycle before af and have done since coming off the pill back in 2017 so it's totally normal for me our bodies love to play mind games with us. Xx

SmileyT · 05/07/2020 21:17

@Mommybear05 yeah April or May is what I'm thinking, we've got a holiday booked for November and I would love to be over the 12week scan mark which would mean falling in this cycle or the following 2, we'll see!! I'm actually feeling strangely calm I've tried every old wives tale in the book and it hasn't happened yet so I'm just trying not to make it my life's focus, which is obviously easier at certain points than others. xx

@Wishingfornumber2 yeah I'm exactly the same if somebody brings up ttc I'll ask about it, but if they don't I won't assume x

Sorry for your loss @StrawberriCream hopefully a few months off has given your body a chance to reset, I also had a MMC in March and still patiently waiting for my rainbow. Are you at the start of your cycle now? Xx

@elliew818 ahh you're much further into Essex, my parents lived between Romford and Ilford so basically London tbh and went to school over in Woodford Green. When I was at school I used to work in Lakeside but that's pretty much all I know of Grays 😂

Mommybear05 · 05/07/2020 21:20

@VP91x soy ??? Not heard of that one! What do they do then? Yes he’s fully weaned now. Cycle range from 28/ 30 days. But the spotting always 24/25 days. So annoying! Good luck for this 6th cycle xx

Rebecca1992 · 05/07/2020 21:21

Ladies if I had my peak OPK on the 1st of July, would that most likely make my ovulation day the 2nd??

AC2020 · 05/07/2020 21:23

@Mommybear05 it was really hurtful. People just don't realise I'm impact their words can have especially when someone is going through something as painful as a miscarriage.
But I've always believed everything happens for a reason so I'm holding onto that and you all should too.
Our babies will come ❤️

Rainbowhope11 · 05/07/2020 21:23

@VP91x fingers crossed for a temp rise and then consistent high temps following that so I can see that I ovulated. The last time I had a peak, then temp rise, but then temp was jumping up and down so I definitely didn't ovulate 🙈 I'm not feeling stressed though, I feel like I'm just interested in knowing whether I ovulate or not. And we haven't been dtd like crazy, so I'm not too exhausted 😂 Dh found out that I got a peak, and he was getting upset that I didn't tell him😂 he says that I should tell him these important things 🤣🤣 I didn't do anything for 4th of July, I actually just stayed in bed and caught up on sleep.

How are you feeling? What Cd are you on now?

Northernsoul90 · 05/07/2020 21:30

Yes I would think so @Rebecca1992 xx

StrawberriCream · 05/07/2020 21:30

Hi @smileyT i literally just came off my period yesterday, I had quite a traumatic time with the mmc. Trying to take it all slowly. Not temp taking or anything else just trying to see what my body does

VP91x · 05/07/2020 21:33

@Mommybear05 helps you stimulate ovulation earlier/or it to actually happen - its a natural version of clomid apparently. That's great that he is fully weaned. So frustrating about the spotting. Maybe there's something you can take to stop it xx

@Rebecca1992 normally between 12-36 hours after I've read. Most common is the next day yeah 🥰

@Rainbowhope11 I'm sure it will be positive for you with ovulation 👌 that's so nice that your OH wants to know so much. Sounds dreamy! Yeah all good, CD7 today will start OPKs tomorrow, back to POAS haha xx

Northernsoul90 · 05/07/2020 21:36

@StrawberriCream I thought I had already posted this message so if I have please ignore me I can’t now find it! I’m really sorry for your loss. Wishing you luck for this cycle 🤞🏼✨ xx

Northernsoul90 · 05/07/2020 21:38

Ladies what does everyone think is the most reliable indicator of ovulation - temp or opks? I’ve seen some ladies post and say they have had surges on opks but temp hasn’t risen, could this be due to other factors though? Or would you take that as a definite that you have not ovulated?

VP91x · 05/07/2020 22:02

@Northernsoul90 temping is meant to be the only guaranteed way of knowing you have actually ovulated. I got a peak static on my OPKs last cycle and no temp rise so knew I didn't ovulate. Whereas month before got peak OPK and temp rise couple of days after which stayed high until 2nd day of AF xx

ManchNic · 05/07/2020 22:05

Hey! Oh my goodness this thread moves so quickly, I really can't keep up!

@VP91x I'm doing ok thank you. CD 23 today, due AF Fri/Sat (Mon according to Ovia app). Normally 27/28 day cycle but ovulated slightly later than normal this cycle so a bit unsure. Got a positive cheapie opk CD15 then peak on CB digital the next morning on CD 16, so guessing I ovulated CD16/17?
Normally get positive cheapie on CD 12ish so not sure what late ovulation means.

I normally get AF symptoms around 5-7 days beforehand but get at least a week between ovulation/dtd and symptoms. But this time I've had symptoms since CD21 (only 4/5DPO) - period type cramps and lower back ache.

Had a massive cry to my hubby on Friday because it just feels like I get no time to be hopeful. Only just stopped dtd and 3 days later cramps/backache started. So unsure if I've just got early AF symptoms this month, or if AF is just going to arrive much earlier than expected. Or if it's all just out of whack because I ovulated late!! 🙈

It just feels like the whole month is governed by my bloody cycle, and didn't even get a week of being hopeful this time 😫 I try so hard to stay positive but sometimes I just get so scared it's never going to happen.

@Mommybear05 since I gave birth 3 years ago I started spotting up to 3 days before AF. It's so annoying because as you say it prolongs the agony, but everything I've read/everyone I've spoken to seems to say it's just one of those things and quite common. Just count CD1 as full day of AF.

Congratulations on all the bfp's!

I think a few people are on a similar cycle to me so good luck for all the bfp's 🤞🏻

SmileyT · 05/07/2020 22:07

I'm in agreement with @VP91x temp rise, day21 progesterone test or ultrasound is the only way to confirm ovulation. Opks give you an idea that ovulation is coming but don't confirm that your body actually ovulated @Northernsoul90 xx

@ManchNic join the AF due 11th July crew with me, @AC2020 @Eli2020 and @elliew818 🙌🏾

VP91x · 05/07/2020 22:10

@SmileyT I found that you can get day 21 progesterone tests online! Even from superdrug. So tempted, stop me 🤣xx

OP posts:
VP91x · 05/07/2020 22:12

@ManchNic I know it's hard to think but it might be a good sign? Only you know your body but if things are unusual for you then you never know 🤞

It really is hard I agree when your month is split into phases and cycle days etc. Hopefully it won't be for too much longer ❤️
