Hi all, I'm trying for my second baby. My first is 2 and that physical need for a newborn baby has crept back again!! This is my first cycle trying. I have a 28 day cycle but generally have late ovulation (usually between cd16-18) and therefore I have quite a short luteal phase. I don't usually test ovulation I just base this on the consistency (tmi) of my cm!

Anyway I'm about 3dpo now... Anyone else?

Sorry to jump in. I could really do with some advice. I have pcos. Ttc 20 months. On day 3 of what I thought is my period but it's completely different to anything I've experienced! Hardly any blood, dark brown in colour. I've tested negative but could that be because hcg levels aren't high enough on day 3? I'm concerned because I was supposed to take my clomid tablet yesterday but don't want to risk it if this is a pregnancy. What do you think? Am I imagining things?

Tink2019 · 09/07/2020 22:39

@LT103 You definitely deserve a gin! We contacted a fertility clinic directly. GP said they'd refer once Covid had eased, but we didn't want to wait. They've done semen analysis and tested my AMH levels so far, then scan at some point next few days. We did also have to have an initial consultation which cost a bomb for a 15 minute phone convo but hey ho! They've also prescribed me Clomid to start next cycle to try and regulate my cycles and failing that they'll do a laparoscopy. If you can afford it I'd recommend as they have been so responsive - and not money grabbing (aside from the ridic phone call) as it was them who said to push for the hormone bloods via GP rather than pay them. I searched on the HFEA website for clinics near us with good stats in case that's helpful.

@EasterBunny7 Could you call your dr or fertility consultant tomorrow just to see what they think? Also, how many DPO would you be? If more than 14 I would've thought it would come up on a test but I'm not 100%, sorry 😐

EasterBunny7 · 09/07/2020 22:55

@Tink2019

I'm either 15 dpo or 10 dpo. Hard to tell ovulation with pcos and irregular periods.

Lmac2018 · 09/07/2020 23:13

Hey ladies, me back again! Nearly 13dpo for me! Back ache is still here and hurts more than ever ! Feels horrible! I've had some right pelvic pain today on and off kinda like a stitch ! Negative test on a cheapie ! Don't know if this month is our month

Nimz9 · 10/07/2020 01:49

Hi. I'm new here. Very first post. 11 DPO today. AF due on July 11 or 12th. Im 36 and TTC for 6 months. Havent had any guts to take test yet. Will wait it out till the day of AF. Some pains in lower belly and I did think it was IB on DPO 9. But I'm too fragile to get my hopes up. It's just been a very challenging journey.

The 2 week wait period and the 2 days after AF are some worst days of my life ever. I live in anxiety!!!

Fingers crossed for more strength and some baby dust for all of us.

ARIO · 10/07/2020 07:23

Full force AF today. CD1 let's be having you!

LT103 · 10/07/2020 08:13

@ario I’m joining you there. Mine started early last night so I guess that technically makes me cd2 now. Here goes another month. Booking day 21 bloods this month so at least get to check everything is fine

myheadisajunglejungle · 10/07/2020 09:30

How early do people usually get BFP's with FRER? I am convinced I'm pregnant, it's my third baby, I know the signs and I knew very early on with the other two, but all tests are negative. I'm on CD24 of a usually 28 day cycle and they say six days before your period is due but I've tested for the past few days and nothing. I seem to be much more impatient this time round!

EasterBunny7 · 10/07/2020 11:17

@Lmac2018 and @Nimz9

good luck, hope you get your BFP Flowers

EasterBunny7 · 10/07/2020 11:18

@ARIO and @LT103

sorry for your losses. don't give up! Flowers

LittleRa · 10/07/2020 11:39

So I posted on this thread way back at the start but didn’t post any more, but just to share I got my BFP this morning! Congratulations to those others with BFPs and Flowers to those with BFNs/AF.

LouJ85 · 10/07/2020 13:20

Ah Congrats @LittleRa!
Can I ask how many days past ovulation you were when you got your BFP? I'm 10dpo and dying to test but I know deep down it's too soon and also feel crappy like my period is on its way so probably no point!

LittleRa · 10/07/2020 13:53

Thank you @LouJ85 I’m 14dpo, AF was due today. This was 2nd cycle off the pill, long cycles of 34-37 days.

LouJ85 · 10/07/2020 13:59

@LittleRa

Thank you *@LouJ85* I’m 14dpo, AF was due today. This was 2nd cycle off the pill, long cycles of 34-37 days.
Did you test any earlier and get negatives, at all? Hope you don't mind me asking. Just wanting some hope as I tested 8dpo (stupidly!) and nothing... but wondering if it's still possible for me this cycle if I can just hold off a few more days!Smile
LittleRa · 10/07/2020 14:05

I didn’t test earlier, no. It is hard not to though, I know! I didn’t really feel any symptoms, so I feel like if I’d had sore boobs or cramps or whatever I would’ve been more keen to test. I’ve only had a little bit of fluttering in my tummy. I would definitely say try and hold on a few more days to 12dpo and beyond. I’m assuming you’re using FRERs? I used an FRER today at 14dpo and the line was really strong, I think I probably would’ve got a feint line a couple of days ago. I might try a clear blue digital in a day or two.

LouJ85 · 10/07/2020 14:27

@LittleRa Yes I'm using FRERs. That was my plan, to test again on Sunday which will be 12dpo. I have some weird symptoms, like slight waves of nausea coming and going, a bit of cramping that feels similar to when period is imminent, and a bit of a weird taste in my mouth. But I also have a bit of a cold and sore throat, which could account for the nausea and weird taste! I don't think I'll feel too devastated this cycle as it's our first month TTC after coming off the pill. We're going away for a week in August so that might make things more relaxed, and I've read that when you're more relaxed it's more likely to happen!

biteysaurus · 11/07/2020 09:37

Congrats to those with BFPs, Thanks to those who are out this cycle. I'm cd31 now with no AF and anther BFN, so think I'm out. But at least it means paté and wine!

LT103 · 11/07/2020 09:44

@LittleRa congratulations!!!!!!

LittleRa · 11/07/2020 10:00

Thank you @LT103 ☺️

LittleRa · 12/07/2020 10:13

How did you get on @LouJ85 xx

LouJ85 · 12/07/2020 10:22

@LittleRa BFN this morning but realised I'm using the wrong type of test - I ordered the FR rapid result one that tells you from first day of missed period instead of the early response ones that can tell a few days before. I don't know when my period is due as this is first cycle since coming off pill - I'm guessing Tuesday ish as that will be exactly 14 days since ovulation. So I suppose I just test again then? I have a gut feeling I'm out this month though...Sad

LittleRa · 12/07/2020 10:26

@LouJ85 that’s so funny as I did the same thing last month with the rapid response instead of early response!! Ah if it’s first cycle off the pill then your cycle may just be getting settled in.

TTCRach · 12/07/2020 14:07

AF arrived for me this morning. Not disappointed as I’ve had a perfect 29 day cycle, and it’s my first month off the pill.
Perhaps we can keep this group going for those who weren’t successful this month?
Congratulations to all that had their BFP, would love to hear how you’re felling and how you get on XX

LouJ85 · 14/07/2020 07:24

Well that's me out ladies - af is here bang on schedule 😢 Good luck to everyone else x

LittleRa · 14/07/2020 10:56

@LouJ85 At least you’re getting to know your cycle, with it being the first month off the pill. You will be able to track your dates carefully. Good luck with the next cycle!
