@Franklydear It is a difficult one, if it helps at all the buses I've seen whilst driving around near me, even through city centres have been very empty. I know it may not be the case for yours, but bus companies are limiting numbers onboard and distancing available seats. Your workplace absolutely shouldn't be forcing you to do it though. I have staff members who have been concerned about public transport and we have even gone so far as to pay for private taxis for them if they are happier with that as we value them in work. It's so strained for most companies at the moment but they should be working with their employees not against them!

@Ltay2 I know I feel so much happier now! And so relieved! I can enjoy my OH birthday this weekend now without worrying! I think maybe having things is quite normal then?? Might just be a bit more sensitive!x

@Blodyn91 they have been amazing with it! And my doctor rang me personally too instead of the receptionists doing!x

@Franklydear yeah I completely understand your fears about public transport I have been getting the bus into work and it's definitely getting busier. I've now been told that I'm going to have to move locations to somewhere over an hour away and extend my hours back out and I don't want to even though I have no underlying medical conditions or childcare to consider. Definitely sound it out with your friend and maybe come to a compromise with work. Some people where I am are working reduced hours/ not normal 9-5 to avoid busy rush hours so could consider offering something like that. Hope you get it sorted xx

@Cocoblue22 I think LH normally starts to surge around mid morning, which is why cheapies say not to test first thing, so probably surge starts the afternoon before you get a static smily which is why they say DTD on the day of and day after smily as that would be just before and just after ovulation, but obviously everybody is different xx

I'm CD16, still a week to go until fw but I persuaded DH to have sex with me after a few beers in the sun yesterday. He said 'but I haven't taken my penis juice today though' 🤣
He started taking fertilman a few days ago, not sure why he's calling it penis juice haha

Thank you all, I called my friend, I am going to see if I can get ds a school place, if not it’s game over, and then see what work says and start negotiating, can’t go any lower than leave without pay, I’ll ask to work on my own, it is possible we have some individual roles, but we’ll have to swap a person, the bus I’ll have to figure it out
On the other hand this is a great distraction for the tww, cd 16, I think 3 dpo, and I haven’t spotted a single symptom.

@Franklydear your fears are totally understandable. I'm similar. I've been basically shielding since the week before lockdown as I'm v high risk from many diff perspectives, cancer/chemo, steroid dependant, low immune system to name a few. However I've gradually started to do things, I've been into supermarkets 3 times & today I went into a city centre in my 4 hours in between as well as 2 different hospitals. It wasn't easy & I felt scared but did everything to protect myself, I wore sets of disposable gloves, I danced around ppl, I wore a mask all day. I'm certainly not going to go shopping in a rush. I think u just need to try little bits & the bus could be doable. Sending hugs 💕

I got 2 out of 20 of my pilates exercises done this morning before being jumped on by DS so I'm not sure my arms are but we could try 🤔

Can anyone enlighten me about opks please. I think/thought I was 4dpo. After a couple highs going back to lows I got a peak 4/5 dsys ago and assumed ovulation. I did an opk 1dpo and 2dpo and both were low. Didn't do one yesterday but just did one now and its looking high again!definitely higher than 1dpo or 2dpo. Should I be worried? Could it have been a a surge but no ovulation? I'm cd23 and last 4 cycles have been 26-28 days. I don't usually do opks throughout the cycle, just around fertile week. I've just kept going with them this time because they have been so up and down.

@Minster2012, thank you, that helps, maybe the bigger step will be to actually make it outside, it is just so many variables and I don't do well with uncertainty, so I just had a meltdown, talking about it with my friend and you ladies has helped calm me down, I have a friend who always tell me things as they are and has a similar job, I think I'll give her a call to help with perspective, I totally understand that I no longer fit the criteria for shielding, which wasn't pleasant to be honest, and I cannot cocoon at home the rest of my life, so keep calm and carry on

@SmileyT so do you think I've ovulated today? I've had cramping today it's gone now but for about an hour or two this afternoon my whole lady region was aching really dull ache! All of it tho not just an ovary ache! Could we have accidentally swayed without meaning to?!? I hope we've done enough hoping to dtd later this evening x

@Franklydear I was really really scared about going out but I'm okay now I think the thought of it is often worse than actually doing it so it will be hard at first but you'll get back used to it x

@Katao that could be very promising g, LH strips can pick up HCG levels as well! But don't take my word on it!

@Katao do you have pics of your opk's? Are the lines darker than the control? It could be your body trying to ovulate and then going for it again. Did you have any ewcm or other symptoms?

@lucyrp my OH is the same in this weather!! He lies on the floor bollock naked with the fan on him and if I even try and initiate it he's like, I just can't😰😂

So 3dpo today but both yesterday and today I've had cramps in my left side, like when you get cramp in your foot/leg and it aches afterwards, like that, noticeable but not unbearable at all, I know it's way way too early for symptoms and I did have slight pain last cycle at about days 3 and 6 but it was different to this one, this feels like actual light cramping! I know it's nothing to symptom spot and too early for implantation but can anyone shed light??x

@Newbie0818 I don't. I had them all laid out on the bathroom cabinet and sent them all flying one morning 🤦‍♀️ I had a few more recent ones but threw them in the bin after i got a peak. I only got one peak cd 18 but had highs cd 15, cd17 and today cd23 is pretty decent, not as dark as control though.
