@CharWils welcome to the thread! Agree with others looks as though you have thought of most things already 🙂
I tried tracking bbt before but I lasted about a week, got fed up of trying to take temp at same time every morning, but you might get on better with it than I did. I started using ovulation tests this cycle and found that much easier.

As for my story, me and my oh stopped using contraception in October but been 'trying' for around 7-8 months' we took the let's just see what happens approach to start with and I was just tracking cycles and cm, but now using OPKs.

Bam27 · 15/07/2020 20:15

@CharWils also agree with @Daffodil21 the tww is the worst time of the month 😂 and it is good to have this thread to let it out sometimes. I'm currently in tww 🤪

Daffodil21 · 15/07/2020 20:19

@Bam27 I am too! Thankfully I've got my mum saying with me so that's keeping me distracted. She'll be gone during the second half of it though which I always find the worst, but going to try and keep level headed this time...

When is you'd AF due? Think I'm due around 24th

@Daffodil21 sorry to hear of your losses and struggle but good to see that you are still on here as I think talking it through probably helps. My best friend who I would normally go to has similar struggles so I don't want to put my excited/first time stuff on her whilst she is going through her own stuff, as much as she has said I can I just don't feel it's appropriate.

@Bam27 I'm hoping I can take the same approach, I don't want to class myself as 'trying' but I want to put myself in the best possible position and I feel like atm getting to know my cycle is prob best after so long, rather than stressing over temps and ovulation tests?

Is there anything my other half can do? He is going to keep his caffeine below 200mg a day (he loves his cola!) and reduce his alcohol intake but keen to hear if there is vitamins etc he can take or anything else that has helped your other halves be in a good position? X

Bam27 · 15/07/2020 20:28

@Daffodil21 That's nice that you mum is staying. Yeah I find it just gets worse and worse until AF arrives and then it's full meltdown mode and then start again 😂 I feel like I'm going crazy after 7-8 months, don't know how you have managed 20! AF is due around the 21st for me. App says I'm 9 days po but that's if I ovulated on day of lh surge and I thought it was most likely the day after?

Daffodil21 · 15/07/2020 20:36

@CharWils my DH takes proceive for men. He takes the power one you mix with water and his sperm morphology has improved since taking it.

@Bam27 I don't know how we've managed 20 months either 😂 are you going to test early or wait until AF due?

OP posts:
Bam27 · 15/07/2020 20:37

@CharWils If I'm being completely honest I was still stressed out even when we weren't 'trying'. I just couldn't help but notice when I was ovulating etc and counting down until AF etc.. But then I was worried I might have trouble conceiving anyway because I have endometriosis. Think you just need to take whatever approach feels best for you.

My oh takes a zinc supplement as its supposed to help with sperm count and motility. Don't know if he needs it but I can't do any harm.

Bam27 · 15/07/2020 20:39

@Daffodil21 I don't usually test unless AF is late but I don't know if I can wait that long! 😂 Usually I don't have them on the house but I have some this month, maybe that was a mistake! Are you going to test early?

Daffodil21 · 15/07/2020 20:51

Ah I'm the opposite - I usually have a stash of cheapies in the house! I've used them all
up now though and only have a CB digi left. Going to try and never test again until I think I'm late. Hoping this cycle length isn't going to be a normal one for me though as it's 2 weeks longer than 'usual' for me!

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this is the place to be but I couldn't find a thread which seemed "appropriate". We've been trying to conceive baby no2 for the last 3 years, 4 months (not that I'm counting) but sadly no luck, not a sniff. Been to drs and they said they'd refer me to fertility but my iron levels needs to be level, I've always been low iron but I took iron tabs and ensured I ate iron rich foods for months to go back and be told it still wasnt enough so I'm not getting referred any time soon Confused.
With baby no1 I had a c-section, here we are almost 6 years down the line and I've just discovered that theres a strong possibility that I shouldn't still have niggling feelings at my scar and inside? I should also not still have a numb stomach just under my belly button? Has anyone had a similar feeling, and if so, is it normal?
I read an article about how a little pocket which can come from a section, can leave women infertile so I'm having a little freak out....send help!

Bam27 · 15/07/2020 21:01

@Daffodil21 I'm gonna try and hold off at least u til AF is due. Arggh I just don't want the disappointment again! Part of me cant wait to test and the other half is terrified. I'm sure you know that feeling 😕

Bam27 · 15/07/2020 21:07

Hi @Thissucks1 I'm sorry I don't know anything about c sections and fertility 🤔 but I'm sorry your feeling like this and I hope you get some answers.

Daffodil21 · 15/07/2020 21:11

@Bam27 yep, all too familiar with this feeling!

@Thissucks1 I'm sorry I don't know anything about c sections either. All but one of us on here are TTC baby no 1. Please join us for support in TTC, but you might get more answers if you started a thread?

Thissucks1 · 15/07/2020 21:14

Ok sorry ladies. I didn't realise this was baby no1 thread.

Daffodil21 · 15/07/2020 21:20

@Thissucks1 oh gosh I'm sorry, I didn't mean you shouldn't be here. My wording wasn't very good!

I just meant you might get answers to your c section question if you started another thread, but have this one for your TTC support. You might get answers on a specific thread but not so much TTC support as people who know might not be TTC now.

Sorry I really didn't mean to make you feel unwelcome at all. Is DC1 a boy or a girl?

@CharWils Welcome to the group 😊 I'm new to TTC, DH and I stopped using contraception (non hormonal) about 2 months ago. Last month is when we started "trying" properly and it's been stressful!

I know it's super early for me (only 2 months) but the reason I've been a bit worried is because even when we used contraception, we weren't very diligent with it (we used the pull out method) and had lots and lots of 'accidents', many of which were around my ovulation date according to my apps, but nothing has ever happened...

honeysun101 · 16/07/2020 09:22

@Thissucks1 welcome!

I am TTC #2, but can't offer much advice as I didn't have a c section. If you're worried about your scar I would ask your doctor if you haven't already, and in regards to a pocket of fluid I would perhaps ask if you could be referred for a scan? If doctors won't give you a scan, it could be worth going for a private scan for some peace of mind? No idea if this is good advice but I think that's where I'd start. Good luck! How old is your first? 😊

I've almost forgotten about TTC the last few days, we've decided to go ahead with with our wedding in September after postponing from May and then to 2021, we really want to do it now so September 2020 it is!!!

TTC and planning a wedding in 10 weeks, kill me now

SaraVB · 16/07/2020 17:25

Congratulations @JTB123 ! That sounds really stressful but so exciting! Good that you can go ahead with it and take your mind off things!

CharWils · 16/07/2020 20:02

@acaciabluebell Thankyou! It's a strange time isn't it, I feel like my whole focus has shifted overnight!

acaciabluebell · 16/07/2020 20:10

Congrats and good luck @JTB123!!! I know the feeling - planned a wedding in 3 months while in my final year of uni - manic!!

acaciabluebell · 17/07/2020 11:00

How's everyone doing? Im on CD5, about to get started again with cycle #3 😊

Daffodil21 · 17/07/2020 11:16

So I just had my appointment at the fertility clinic - egg reserve, linings , womb/shape etc is all fine, and I don't have PCOS which is good to know. They took bloods to check progesterone levels but said they would do another next cycle because this is an abnormal cycle for me (yay, more OPKs next month 😒) and did 3 other blood tests for things which could explain recurrent MC.

She certainly had a good rummage in there with the probe, and I didn't bring a sanitary pad!! 😱

How is everyone else doing??
