Thou will not get stressed.

Thou will symptom spot casually and not obsessively.

Thou will not test before 12dpo.

I'm due to start opk tests from tomorrow

ALew15 · 22/06/2020 09:33

@claireb707 I've been doing twice a day for the last 2 or 3 days. Still flashing in the evening. I ovulated on CD12 last month and I'm only CD12 today, I think I'm just being impatient! Lol. I shouldn't have started testing so early.
We have DTD every other day this cycle so far which is good going for us, but if I haven't ovulated yet then that's a waste of time!
😂

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 09:36

🤞🤞

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 22/06/2020 10:09

Morning Ladies. Now on CD12. Had three days of flashing smileys and got my peak fertility smiley yesterday.
Entering the TWW tomorrow. Trying to be chilled about it all. 😬

LeopardLover · 22/06/2020 10:19

Morning team! Is it possible to miss your peak if you only use the CB digital OPK once a day!? 😬

krj2608 · 22/06/2020 10:32

🤞@FoxtrotOscarPoppet

I'm currently cd5 after a chemical pregnancy.

Sorry to hear that @krj2608. Fingers crossed for us all this month. I hope you’re ok. 💐

krj2608 · 22/06/2020 10:44

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet thanks, feeling a bit more positive i think. TMI- Bit worried about the bleeding at the moment. It's different to my miscarriage 6 years ago which was very similar to labour.

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 22/06/2020 10:45

@LeopardLover maybe...... the CB OPK suggests using FUM but I didn’t seem to be getting accurate readings around my peak days. I do the tests in the afternoons now. Think it’s to do with a hormone surge that happens throughout the morning?

What time of day are you testing?

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 22/06/2020 10:46

@krj2608 worth calling the GP to ask for advice?

LeopardLover · 22/06/2020 11:11

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet I was planning to test mornings (first day tomorrow) but now I'm wondering if I need cheapy strips for the afternoons!

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 11:49

@LeopardLover yes very.

I have never got a solid smiley in the morning on them, normally get it about 4-6pm.

I've only ever had about 3/4 days of flashing before peak so once I get my first flashing I start testing 2+ times a day. With both cb digital and cheapies

LeopardLover · 22/06/2020 12:19

@claireb707 oooh! So this is a naive question - I can use the CB twice a day then?

Also, can you recommend some good cheapies? Thanks!

SS123456 · 22/06/2020 12:28

@LeopardLover I was about to ask the same question as this will be my first month using CB opks too! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm on CD5 and used a cheapy opk early and got a nearly high but it seems early for me to start getting any type of significant line. Perhaps I'll start the CB ones in the morning then

What happens if you run out using 2 a day? Do you just fork out on a new set and use the same holder to read them?

LeopardLover · 22/06/2020 12:36

@SS123456 It's good to get this sorted now haha. I'm CD6!

I read once you've finished your sticks you throw the holder out and start a new one!

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 12:39

I've done 4 in one day before 😂

Yep you can use a new pack of sticks with the same holder, it's better to carry on with the same holder for as lo g as the battery lasts as it 'learns' you. Starting a new month with a new holder means it has to relearn you. I get mine from Amazon subscribe and save monthly but have just cancelled my box due at the beginning of July as I have a box and a half left. In the open box there are currently 3 holders plus my in use one 😂😂

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 12:40

I buy the boxes of 20 sticks as they work out cheaper

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 12:41

I use the wandfo cheapies (also from Amazon come as 50 lh and 20 hcg) I've found them better than the femometer ones.

SS123456 · 22/06/2020 12:56

@claireb707 thanks that is good to know! So if you you re-use the holder for a second month will it matter if the battery goes mid-month and you start with a new holder part was through the cycle?

SS123456 · 22/06/2020 12:57

*part way

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 12:58

It's not ideal but the battery has lasted a good while. I think I've been using these tests for 9 /10 months and am only using the 2nd or 3rd holder...

SS123456 · 22/06/2020 13:07

@claireb707 brilliant thank you! I guess CB are keen to make you buy a new one each month! 😊

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 13:08

Annoyingly you can't buy the sticks on their own so you get a new holder everytime hence me having 4 at the moment (3 unopened, and one in use)

ALew15 · 22/06/2020 14:24

I've seen just the CB sticks for sale on eBay. Just make sure that they are in date. I think people sell them once they don't need them anymore. Not a bad idea and saves money x

kirinm · 22/06/2020 14:34

Hmmm, I was hoping to avoid buying cheapie tests - ovulation or HPT because I turned into a POAS maniac last month. I don't know if mine will flash as I have the slightly cheaper CB ones - they identify your 2 most fertile days (apparently). What does a flashy face mean? Is it just your LH levels are high (but not yet at peak)?
