Thou will not get stressed.

Thou will symptom spot casually and not obsessively.

Thou will not test before 12dpo.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to those who are in the 2ww.

So the static smiley face finally went away so I could try another test this morning and it was a circle. I'm really confused by this all. First time using any opk, I did my first opk test on Sunday morning and it went straight to a solid static smiley face. We dtd Saturday, Sunday & Monday. And planning to dtd today. Have I missed it because no dtd yesterday or covered possible fertile days? Only used 2 opk sticks, any point using the rest?

ALew15 · 01/07/2020 09:32

@BuckleUp so nice to have someone around the same timing. Ovia app is predicting AF Monday for me but it's never right.
Zero symptoms for me, had sore boobs last month and was convinced I was pregnant (I wasn't 😂) hoping that nothing is a good sign!
What cycle trying are you?

BuckleUp · 01/07/2020 09:42

@ALew15 That's what I like about this thread, it's great being able to share experiences with each other. Especially when you're keeping it secret that you're TTC!

I'm only on my first cycle so not expecting too much from this month. It seems unlikely we'll succeed first try! No symptoms for me so far, I read too much into sore boobs the first few dpo, but I think that's a standard cycle symptom for me.. My LP is a little shorter than most apps predict (12 days instead of 14), which I probably why your AF is predicted to arrive a little later. Hopefully no symptoms is a good sign for you this month!

What cycle are you on?

kirinm · 01/07/2020 09:43

@duckii yes I think you've more than covered it. I was told the 2 days before ovulation are the most fertile days and then the day of ovulation - I've assumed that is right. I didn't DTD on ovulation day as was just too tired but I'm hoping to we've done enough.

SCIAGx · 01/07/2020 09:45

@AlisonLew15 Thanks. It's a lot fainter this morning already so I'm just going to presume that my peak was last night. Haha, yes last night, this morning and I've told DH to be ready tonight too and then every other day throughout the month 😂 hopefully that will cover it lol! Hope your getting on okay

LeopardLover · 01/07/2020 10:14

@ALew15 You're right! Hopefully DH has one more BD in him. It's a shame he works a manual job. 😅

@krj2608 Hopefully you ovulate over the next few days.

@kirinm Ready to fast forward too!

Last night I ended up watching YouTube videos with tips on TTC 🤣 anyone tried Raspberry Leaf Tea?

ALew15 · 01/07/2020 10:21

@LeopardLover no I've never tried it. Always associated it with trying to bring on labour? Always open to trying new things though!

@BuckleUp we are on cycle 3 but only second of really trying. Used the CB OPKs the last two months, have u tried them?
Our friends and family are quite aware that we are TTC (had MMC last year) but we don't really discuss it with them so it's nice to come on here and talk freely!

BuckleUp · 01/07/2020 10:29

@LeopardLover I think raspberry leafed tea sounds tasty, if it's not going to do any harm then maybe worth a shot?

@ALew15 Still early days for you too then, the months go by so slowly though don't they? I haven't tried the CB OPKs, but I have used IC OPKs when preventing pregnancy (they theoretically made the Natural Cycles algorithm more accurate). I never really got on with them though so I'm only monitoring BBT at the moment and watching for ovulation symptoms. Sorry to hear about your MMC last year, fingers crossed this year is luckier for you xx

kirinm · 01/07/2020 10:36

Sorry marking my place again as I keen losing the thread

Thanks I hope so. Fingers crossed for all of us!
It's exhausting especially with a little toddler and no sleep. My app says I should be ovulating this weekend, hopefully already done enough. Are you in your 2ww?

kirinm · 01/07/2020 11:44

@duckii yeah I think I'm 4dpo. It was my toddler who stopped us DTD on ovulation day. She did a few really early wake ups. I did think of DTD when she napped in the afternoon but she ended up napping in the car.

LeopardLover · 01/07/2020 11:58

@ALew15 @BuckleUp Apparently it's just the leaves so tastes like black tea! You drink it pre-ovulation. Also heard about eating pineapple core post-ovulation! All things to try next month if this isn't the one (but staying positive it will be)!

BuckleUp · 01/07/2020 12:04

@LeopardLover I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

claireb707 · 01/07/2020 13:19

@LeopardLover

Morning all! Just a quick Q for the CB Digital OPK experts (cc *@claireb707* 😉). When I had static smiley/peak we DTD both days... Is that it now? Or should we DTD on the third day too? Poor OH is pretty exhausted after all the recent action so I fancy giving him the night off 😅

@Jaym78 It's annoying how it can change each month, isn't it! Hopefully not too long to wait for you. 😊

@ohsotrying 3 hours is much better!! Staying positive for you - August is the month!

@whambam89 Yay for EWCM! Good very well be tomorrow. 👍🏻

Lol wouldn't say I'm an expert 😂😂

Ovulation is normally 12-24 hours after peak and you are fertile for up to 2 days after ovulation so up to you whether you drag him back to bed again (or wherever floats your boat lol) for another go. 😂😂

I'm now either 2dpo, 3dpo or 1 day before depending on which app I look at 🤔🤔🤨

I don't think we did it enough this month, but not sure how I can get partner to be more up for it.

kirinm · 01/07/2020 13:39

I got my static face on CD11 so assumed I ovulated on CD12. By the end of CD12 I had a blank face on the OPK. Does that correlate with me having already ovulated by the time I got the negative? Or do you get a negative on the day you ovulate?

SS123456 · 01/07/2020 14:41

After my 9th day of flashing smilies in a row this morning I have haf a solid smiley this afternoon on CD14 and a 'high' cheap opk 😁🎉. Really pleased to ovulate at a 'normal' time this month as last month I didn't ovulate until CD25 and had a 41 day cycle!

ALew15 · 01/07/2020 14:53

@SS123456 that's brilliant news, I'm really happy for you!

@claireb707 I feel the same regarding not doing it enough. We did it every other day since AF finished until day of predicted O. Had a couple of days off since. DH called me crazy for wanting to DTD every day 😂 he hates feeling like it's forced.

Babyyno2 · 01/07/2020 15:04

Hi everyone!
Predicted ovulation today and I had pains yesterday in my lower stomach. Today I have some CM (sorry to much info) so am I right in thinking I still could DTD tonight and tomorrow for extra chances?

BuckleUp · 01/07/2020 15:08

@Babyyno2 I would if you're able too. Gives you the best chance and then you can relax for the rest of the month! Enjoy 😉

Bloody hell there's no way I could keep that up let alone partner 😂😂 we were lucky to do it 3 times this cycle 😢

UQ4295jz · 01/07/2020 15:39

Hey all! I’ve just come across this thread and would love to join! Me and my partner and trying for our fourth! Must be crazy but this will be his second child and as he has made our first together so easy (10 months old) we have thought why not get the last out the way. I’ve only last week had my coil taken out and really excited to see how quickly or long it takes this time round. I am hoping however to be pregnant by the end of July so it’s been lovely reading all you posts! Good luck to everyone who is hoping for a positive come July! :)

Oh god I better see if DH can last a few more nights before his rest 😂

LeopardLover · 01/07/2020 17:24

@BuckleUp Thank you. 😊

@claireb707 Ahahaha 🤣 I'm going to do my best once he's home from work, I feel like he's going to want to hide but watch this space. It's so tough, isn't it! I think we'd be fine if we didn't have jobs - it's just tiring! I've almost quit my HIIT workouts since TTC and renovating a house 😅

@SS123456 Yay!! Get to the BD 😉

@ALew15 You are an inspiration to us all - such stamina 😉

@Babyyno2 Absolutely!! Hope DH is up to the task - I think tonight will be a struggle for us 😅

@UQ4295jz Welcome and how lovely! Perhaps we started too late for a big family but I love the thought of a bunch of kids. Sending you lots of positive vibes!

whambam89 · 01/07/2020 19:54

Had an inkling to test again tonight after the ewcm this morning but still a circle and got my first flashing smiley... Let the baby making commence 😂

LeopardLover · 01/07/2020 20:01

@whambam89 Oh excellent news! Go get it 😉

Thankfully I didn't have to sweet talk DH tonight, he was ready to get it! 🤣 Now we can have a bit of a break as I enter the TWW!
