Morning everyone, CD10 today - started with the CB digital opk yesterday, looking forward to getting my first smiley face!
Quick question, the kit recommends FMU but I know with stick OPKs it's usually recommended that you don't use FMU? Can anyone confirm? I've been using the first but just wanted to double check. Thanks!

@leopardlover exciting! Get BD! How many days of flashing smileys did you have before your static? Are your cycles quite short?

@babyyno2 I use femometer and Flo (I've used Flo for years but like that femometer has a section for OPKs)

@whambam89 I was doing FMU. I think next month I might get cheapies to so in the evening as I had a lot of EWCM but got a blank circle in the morning but think that might've changed in the evening. I think it's probably important to be consistent regardless of what time you do it - just stick with the same time everyday.

Quick update- I'm currently waiting for the nurse to call to see what's going on and next steps after a chemical pregnancy 12 days ago. Boobs still leaking and slight mark on pregnancy test this am. Feel so sick but really don't think I'm pregnant, no idea what's going on! Also tracking ovulation using opks and nothing yet, don't seem to be getting pre ov symptoms either.

@kirinm thanks! It's easier for me to stick with FMU otherwise I find it harder to be consistent with times. I've got a few cheapies left from last month but I'm only on CD10 so may start using them of an evening in the next couple of days

CD12 and 7th day of flashing smiley for me. Cheap opks are 100% low though still 🤷🏻‍♀️

Morning everyone

Cd14 for me today. Predicted ovulation (Premom app) says ovulation in 2 days. Still no static smiley on my CB though. First month using it and I did read a few people said it might not register with me for the first month. Hoping I don't waste a month 🤦‍♀️

@duckii If you have already been checked then you are probably fine and just ovulating like normal 🤗 I just asked about PCOS as I keep forgetting who has been diagnosed.

@Babyyno2 I used OPKs and BBT this cycle (femometer). All apps had wrongly predicted Ovulation day, so been dtd at the wrong time past 2 cycles 🙈

I use apps (Ava, period tracker and femometer), bbt (Ava and mouth) and opks (cheapies and cb digital)

I got peak opk on Saturday, back to lowish high this morning, but my temps don't suggest ovulation yet (Ava still thinks I've got another couple of days to go).

Cb digital opks say to use fmu, cheapies don't. Saturday and yesterday I was testing 4 times a day with both to ensure I caught my true peak and to check when the surge was over..

If you are using opks then you need to be testing multiple times a day around predicted ovulation.

@Babyyno2 I'm only on my first cycle, but have been continuing using the app I was using to prevent pregnancy - Natural Cycles. With this app you can switch from 'prevent' to 'plan' mode and you continue monitoring BBT as normal. The difference is that it predicts your most fertile days rather than telling you to use contraception. It does also suggest the best time to start using OPKs, but I tried using them in prevent mode to increase the algorithm's accuracy and never really got on with them. What I like about this app is that I've been able to fine tune my cycle data for a few months before TTC and have also been hormone free in the lead up. I'm hoping that means my ovulation prediction is accurate enough without the need for OPKs, but only time will tell!

There seem to be some really good apps that the others are using that can read your OPK for you, taking away that is it/is it not worry. I guess it's best to find which one works best for you and your lifestyle. After all, there are plenty of people that get pregnant without using any apps, OPKs etc! Whichever method you choose I wish you the best of luck 😊 xx

Morning everyone! I'm on CD 11 and got a flashing smiley this morning! So unexpected as my app has predicted that I'll not be in my fertile windows until Saturday, with ovulation predicted for a week on Thurs?! I'm so glad I started testing with the OPK kit sooner than planned!

I have ZERO pregnancy tests and plan to keep it that way this month. I got waaay to obsessed with them last month, so steering clear this month until at least AF is predicted to be due.

@mm26 my fertile window is apparently due to start Friday with ovulation next Wednesday but I feel like that's way out so will be interesting to see when I get my flashing smiley! I already feel more relaxed knowing that I'm not going to miss my window this month. 3 pregnancy announcements in the last month from best friends and my sister are not making me feel relaxed though - can't shake it that I MUST get pregnant asap so that I can be pregnant with them

We seem to be predicted cycle twins! I'm not sure what's going on with flashing smileys today though as it's way early, but glad I started testing when I did! I'm going to test twice a day now, to make sure I don't miss my peak. I'm enjoying using the clear blue one as I found the internet sticks so difficult to read!

Are you using OPKs?

Aw I can imagine that's tough 😫 it'll happen for you, I'm sure! I'm just trying to chill about it a bit this month as I don't think the stress helps. I'm not feeling too much outside pressure as no one I know is trying or pregnant at the moment and we've not told anyone we're ttc.

@mm26 I'm using the clearblue advanced this month, did have a couple of cheap OPKs left but think I'm going to stay away from them. I know I need to try and chill myself out and stop thinking about everyone else but it's so hard! I have read some people can have flashing smilies for quite a few days before their static so maybe you're one of them! I just want to be in the FW already and then miraculously jump to the end of the TWW haha

@whambam89 I forgot to say my cycle is normally 28 days but was 27 days last month!

@leopardlover when did you get your first flashing smiley? I'm on CD11 today and still just getting a circle. My cycle last month was long (34 days) but usually between 27 and 29 days so feel like I should have a flasher by now!

Cd15 for me today and predicted ovulation tomorrow.
Ive got some strong pains in my lower stomach so is there such thing as ovulation pains?
Don't feel like we've DTD enough as my husband has been back at work this week!
Also had the pains last month but didn't really think anything of it

@whambam89 CD10 - maybe yours will be in the next couple of days or it's another long one for you?

Ok so strange one this morning... using my clear blue digital OPK, another flashing smiley, all good! Until....I dropped the holder down the toilet!! 😂🙈 I have another holder so it's all good, just wondering if it'll affect things changing holders right in the middle of the smileys? We'll DTD every other night anyway to cover it, but just curious if it'll affect the readings!

@LeopardLover it is quite a strong pain but now I remember having them last month. Try to google and it says still a high chance of me getting pregnant so maybe I could carry on DTD for a few days and hope for the best?
We've been DTD every other day ish since CD8
