Thou will not get stressed.

Thou will symptom spot casually and not obsessively.

Thou will not test before 12dpo.

Advice needed ladies....

I am contemplating downing the OPKs and thermometer and my frenzy of POAS from about 6dpo. In favour of DTD every other day from CD 13 (long cycles I usually Ov day 20/21/22/23) and just DTD every other day until AF arrives or O hit CD 40. Whichever happens first...

Am I being foolish ditching the OPKs and attempting a furious 4/5 day in a row marathon.... (which hasn't worked so far!)

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 10:06

@Rotagilla If your partner and lifestyles allow you to dtd every other day throughtout your cycle that is definitely the best way I'd say. I guess the downside to not testing though is not knowing when to take hcg tests and that could increase the amount of tests you have to periodically take and potentially more BFNs to see?!

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 10:08

If anyone wants to join me with seed cycling and breakfast smoothies ideas this month you are more than welcome. Below is what I had in mine this morning 😊

Flax seeds, brazil nuts, lentils, pumpkin seeds, spinach, banana, apple, strawberries, milk

kirinm · 23/06/2020 10:09

I fortunately have a rough idea of when I ovulate. I'm thinking it is between CD12-14 but will DTD every day or every other day until then (I'm on CD08 now). Tbh, my energy levels at the end of the day do not match to DTD every day (and nor do DP's) but we will see how we go!

I'm not sure I could manage DTD every day until CD20+. Both of us were over it last month by ovulation! (Romantic, I know :))

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 10:17

@Rotagilla sorry just realised I tagged you instead of @1940s

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 10:18

@kirinm I think that is normal, we felt the same too!

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 10:23

@ALew15 the early flashing smilie thing is odd isn't it. CD6 for me and a flashing smilie on CB with FMU this morning, yet the cheapy opk I've just done (femometer one) is clearly picking up zero LH. I guess the CB is picking up oestrogen then

kirinm · 23/06/2020 11:01

What is the benefit of picking up oestrogen? What does it tell you - sorry if that is a stupid question?

@SS123456 I tend to have smoothies in the morning too - similar ingredients too (minus the seeds) I use frozen spinach and berries as much cheaper and no need for ice.

What is the benefit of the seeds?

ALew15 · 23/06/2020 11:04

@SS123456 same, I did a cheapy opk and it was barely there. I'm going to do an early evening one too.
@kirinm me and DH are the same, only at predicted ovulation now and I think we're both ready for a break from DTD 😂 I keep joking to him that once I'm pregnant I won't want to DTD anyway so he can have his break from me then!

krj2608 · 23/06/2020 11:59

How's everyone today?

Anyone had leaking boobs after an early miscarriage?

Just got off the phone to the doctor, I need to speak to them next week either way. If I'm still leaking they want me in for tests. X

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 12:23

@kirinm I'm following the attached as I figured it couldn't do much harm 🤷🏻‍♀️

The July Pact....
FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 23/06/2020 17:28

Hi everyone.

@krj2608 how are you feeling?

I’m officially in the TWW. Trying to be chilled about it. Telling myself I won’t do much symptom spotting........

Jaym78 · 23/06/2020 18:29

Hello all,

Mind if I join?? So... I'm out as of today. I was so sure. I had every symptom going.
Mother nature is cruel.

So I see u guys are onto another cycle too... I'm on day 1. Where are you guys? Xx

gypsywater · 23/06/2020 18:31

@Jaym78 Welcome! Sorry to hear about AF. Mine started yesterday so I am Day 2. Cycle 7!

Jaym78 · 23/06/2020 18:35

HEY @gypsywater

Thanks for replying. Aww I'm sorry to hear this too for you.

I miscarried at 11 weeks a few months back. And to be honest I've nkt really tracked anything until this month.

I'm in 2 minds try again with opks etc or just leave it. Little down now

Hppe your OK xxx

gypsywater · 23/06/2020 18:48

@Jaym78 Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That's super sad. Which cycle are you on now in total? I've not used OPKs before but have some ready for July. We have to try to stay positive!

Jaym78 · 23/06/2020 18:55

Well this was cycle one to be honest. Before that I hadn't tracked or really tried since the miscarriage. This month I tracked dates and CM. Symptom spotted and I have had them all. I guess it's my first disappointment and it's hit a little hard.

My bleed today is brown, not red am I correct in saying I can not count today as day one? I've never used opks before either. I'm deciding whether to try not really sure how they work. X

gypsywater · 23/06/2020 18:59

I personally always count from the first day of any AF at all! That could be wrong tho. Just what I've always done. It is really hard that first month of disappointment. I think there is like a 30% chance per month or something tho even if do everything "right" so statistically it may take a few goes xx

ALew15 · 23/06/2020 19:13

Spotting isn't classed as Day 1, only if it's a proper bleed.

Got my static smiley just now! CD13, been having flashies since CD5. Hope DH wants to get on with it tonight! I haven't told him, he rather not know

BuckleUp · 23/06/2020 19:37

Hi all,

First time posting so still learning the lingo! Just read this thread and you all seem so welcoming, so hope you don’t mind me jumping on the July band wagon 😊.

A little bit of background: I’m 31 and DH is 30. I’ve been tracking BBT since Dec via my Natural Cycles app to prevent pregnancy. We switched to ‘plan’ mode this month so it’s our first month TTC, and I’m currently on CD16. About to enter my TWW and AF is due around 6th July. I’m hoping to wait to test until I’m late, but it looks like that’s hard to do after reading the comments on here!

Good luck to you all - I hope this is your month 🙂. It’s nice to have people to share this with, especially if you’re keeping TTC a secret from everyone!

xx

Jaym78 · 23/06/2020 19:51

I've just downloaded an app to try for next month. And going to get soem opks too @gypsywater

Hi @Alew15 thanks for replying. OK I'll see what it's like tomoz and count from then if red. Cramping now but more dark brown bleeding.

And hello @Buckleup.. I'm new here too joined about a week ago. I was the same, I'll tell you what I've managed to gather so far
FRER ( first response early result test)
Dpo ( days past ovulation)
CM ( cervical mucus)
AF ( aunt Flow = period)
OPK ( don't know the abbreviation but basically ovulation peak / strips I think
BFN ( big fat negative)
BFP ( big fat posive)
Fmu ( first mornjng urine)
IC. ( Internet cheaps) ( cheap preg tests)

I hope that helps, welcome xx

BuckleUp · 23/06/2020 19:59

@Jaym78 Thanks for the welcome and the heads up re abbreviations. Sorry to hear you’re feeling down atm, I hope you’re feeling more yourself soon x

Jaym78 · 23/06/2020 20:07

Aww thank you, I hope your OK, tww can be so difficult it was my first one so I guess it's the first time I've had to feel this way..

Did u say this would be your first baby? X

LeopardLover · 23/06/2020 20:36

Good evening all!

@claireb707 Oh hey cycle twin 😉

@Jaym78 Welcome! 😊 I'm CD7. So sorry to read about your loss, that must've been so devastating for you. Hoping you get your rainbow baby!

@BuckleUp Eeek, it's exciting you're in your TWW! Crossing my fingers for you. I think testing once AF is late is the best bet, but if I'm sick I'm testing early! Ha. It's really lovely to have the support of the others, I haven't told anyone we're TTC because I don't want the pressure!

@ALew15 I hope your husband is up for it! I think the pressure can be quite a lot for the guys. My DH has a physical job so he's often tired by the time he gets home but I need him to bring his A game during my fertile week haha.

LeopardLover · 23/06/2020 20:38

@Rotagilla Sorry you've been dealing with tooth pain, I hope you're feeling okay - thankfully not long until you can get it sorted.

Glad you're feeling chill. 😊
