@Vil10 omg that's even worse 😭😭 I did think maybe I'd go more relaxed next cycle if I didn't get BFP this month but I just don't think I could do it! I'd regret it so much. He said "you need to have more sex" I felt like saying we have it every bloody day hun and it still don't work!😂😂

Juno231 · 09/06/2020 09:01

My resting heart rate has dropped for the second day in a row so I'm worried that means AF is on her way! @SmileyT did you say yours is dropping too?

As for mat leave, I think I get 6 months full pay and then statutory pay. Plan is to take 8-9 months and let OH take the final quarter :)

@TTCgee thanks for the pineapple tip, I'll try it next cycle! Been taking evening primrose oil already 👌

blodyn91 · 09/06/2020 09:03

@cocoblue22 agree. Just hate how normal BFN are 😩 We'll all get them BFP eventually!

Adding primrose to my basket 🙈

Vil10 · 09/06/2020 09:06

@lucyrp I know!! I said that to the OH like I don't know whether to go full on with the seed cycling and event bring it just chill and not even use opks but I know full well I'd get a BFN and I'd blame myself for not trying properly! Hahahaha if only he knew😂

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 09:13

@Vil10 I would like to guess when ovulation is as I've got a rough idea from this month but then you never know do you! I'm so torn between being relaxed or going full force 😩

watermelonwizard · 09/06/2020 09:15

@Clairey844 @Minster2012 @SmileyT @Vil10 @Newbie0818 thanks for the messages ladies . Really does cheer you up I agree @Cocoblue22 . Means a lot as you lot are the only ones that truly understand! Xx

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:18

Ugh ladies Ive had a hormonal breakout- defo a sign AF is on her way ☹️ I'm only 8dpo. Zero symptoms but unless anything dramatically changes in the next 48hours I think I'm defo out for this month..I was secretly hoping as I got pregnant accidentally on the pill I was a super fertile mare so wouldn't have to wait too long before I conceived again but I know I'm being impatient ☹️- how do you ladies cope when you feel it's not your month?

I don't even qualify for anything just statutory! as I need to be at my workplace for 2.5years before qualifying for paid maternity leave which is only 3months and then 1month half pay -then stat for the rest of the term so figured for two extra months pay it wouldn't be worth waiting another 1.5years!

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:22

@watermelonwizard sorry for your bfn☹️ hope your okay..next month hopefully 🤞🏽

Juno231 · 09/06/2020 09:23

@Mococo1 remember the whole progesterone thing! Atm your body is just going ahead as usual, you might not even have implantation for a few more days yet!

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:25

@juno321 I hope so! But I'm really dwindling down on hope right now ☹️ it's so painful not being pregnant after a MC, a girl on my team at work was literally a week before me on the pregnancy and we both confided in each other about out bfps-she's now got a cute little bump and I've been crying knowing it could have been me too/ honestly forgot how much not being on the pill can make you emotional too lol

Minster2012 · 09/06/2020 09:25

@Mococo1 that's horrendous?? What do you do?

watermelonwizard · 09/06/2020 09:26

Thanks @Mococo1 , I hope you're not out as you believe 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 it's hard isn't it. Such a roller coaster. We're in this together!

Maybe333 · 09/06/2020 09:26

@TTCgee amazing!! And such a strong line too! I have a pineapple here so I'm going to cut into 5 like you said. Fingers crossed 🤞I'm 1dpo today I think.

@lucyrp definitely not boring, one of my favs!

@bear127 and @newbie I'm a teacher here too, secondary school teacher, and so many names I would have loved otherwise.

@Vil10 I can completely understand your feelings, definitely better to rant here and get it all out. I felt like this when trying for my DD and my friend got pregnant (unplanned pregnancy) but years down the line now and our kids are the best of friends and we're that much stronger because of it, even went on a family holiday last year all together. Rooting for you next month to have the same ☺

Sydgal22 · 09/06/2020 09:26

@TTCgee congratsss on your BFP! Your story almost made me cry!

@Cocoblue22 totally makes me feel better knowing there are other ladies out there in the same boat! I’m sorry for those with their bfn or af today :(

OH told me today he doesn’t think I’m preg this month cause the timing felt off...he was like I think we should just be doing it when you get the static smiley, I wanted to throw something at him!! I was like we’re doing SMEP I explained it to you!!! So now I’ve sent him several links, I can’t remember who it was that said it but it’s so true men just walz in dick out do the job and that’s it! And here I am torturing myself :( I just want to KNOW this month so I can move on to the next month wahhhh :( sorry rant over ha!

Minster2012 · 09/06/2020 09:27

Sorry and really awful about the MC as well, I kinda feel like I wish I'd told more ppl so that they could now get how shit I feel as I don't have a bump now & not pregnant...does that make me a bad person? Especially as we know so many "yeah it was dead easy for us" ppl
FUCK YOU

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:29

@minister2012 I work in finance! At a well known brand as well so you would think the mat leave would be better or I would atleast qualify after being there for a year! it's actually so naff but luckily DH earns a fair bit more than me so we tend to live off of his salary and save mine-so if a little one comes along we just won't be saving anything and hoping I win the lottery 😂

Ltay2 · 09/06/2020 09:30

@TTCgee Ahhh congratulations! 💞 thank you for your list of things too. Think I will look into pineapple coz I love it anyway 😂

Noble89 · 09/06/2020 09:31

@Sydgal22 - Ahh that's cool! I don't know any Lincoln's but I just love it. And I think Linc is cute for a little boy as like a nick name.

@SmileyT Aubrey is lovely. Mine says the exact same thing, too many American TV shows. I love Avery for a boy and got that from Grey's anatomy and I love Maverick too and got that from Teen Mom 😂

@Juno231 that's what puts me off! But I'm sure that's why my OH likes it. He keeps wandering around the house saying 'just cz you killed Jesse James, that don't make you Jesse James' in a deep south American accent! I'm like 'what kid of child do you think we're going to raise here?' 😂

@TTCgee amazing news! Congratulations lovely 🎉

@Vil10 I love your name choices! We're going Blake for a girl with Harper as a middle name as we love both names and just thought it sounded better that way around. I have Hallie on my list too and absolutely love it. Love all your boys names too. Harry Hudson is 😍

My maternity is dire. Literally 6 weeks full pay then statutory. Thankfully it's a really well paid job whilst I'm actually there so I've saved like 10k so I can have a full year off.

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 09:34

@Noble89 omg I wish I could save like that 😩 but having a child at 16 and renting from then until now doesn't give me much chance to save😂 will you get statutory pay if you have that much savings ?

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:34

@watermelonwizard @minister2012 thank you for your support and it does not make you a bad person at all, a lot of us can imagine that feeling ♥️ it's annoying it's all such a secretive game!

@sydgal22 your OH sounds like mine! Men don't get it..my husband asked last night if he didn't pull out on me yday (not SMEP day) will I be pregnant by next week when my periods due...honestly it'll like he never paid any attention to my SMEP lecture 😐

Maybe333 · 09/06/2020 09:35

@Minster2012 I definitely regret not telling more people I MC before I had my DD. If I could go back in time I would talk more for sure. I MC'd the day before my sister's wedding and had booked the day of her wedding off work (I'm a teacher so can't book extra days etc) . Well obviously then I took a few extra days under sick leave afterwards.. my bosses all knew the reason why etc, and were discreet about it, but my colleagues didn't. And when I came back some of them made jokes about me being too hungover to work after her wedding and taking sick leave, wink wink,... It was awful as I would never take sick leave for no reason, I just laughed it off and was like yea.. That's right.. I wish now I had just said the real reason and then people would have understood how I was feeling then.

lucyrp · 09/06/2020 09:41

Just a question when you all get your BFPs at what stage will you be ringing the midwife ? I don't think il ring until I'm 6-7 weeks x

watermelonwizard · 09/06/2020 09:45

@lucyrp literally have the same worries about playing with DS lol. That's reassuring!

@Maybe333 that's a heartbreaking story . MC is so hard to talk about. My DS was one of a twin and I lost the twin early on. Some of the closest people to me still don't know. And my OHs cousin recently had twins and my FIL said to me 'see she's doing it properly having two at once not 1 like you' he totally didn't mean it as he doesn't know but omg a punch to the stomach. Any mention of twins now I just freeze. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Your colleagues would die if they knew. That's made me think before I speak actually I won't comment on leave etc just in case. It's good to talk x

Mococo1 · 09/06/2020 09:49

@maybe33 that's horrible! Agree with @watermelonwizard people should really think before they speak!

@lucyrp not sure how it works in wales but in London you have to do an online hospital referral with a questionnaire with your history etc and then you get booked in with a midwife around 8 weeks..if I had a choice though I would call at 6/7weeks tho as I'm a panicker and would want epu to scan me ASAP lol

blodyn91 · 09/06/2020 09:52

@maybe333 😰 thats so sad! I definitely think MC and infertility in general are not spoken about enough.
Ive only started my job in October, haven't even looked at maternity stuff. But think my OH would take a big paternity.
