@Juno231 my doc put me in for bloods before covid but I had to wait ages for CD1. Mine was because my cycles were so irregular and getting longer so he wanted to check for any hormonal or thyroid issues.

I love Charlotte (Lottie) for a girl that's my new favourite 💕 boys are more difficult but OH does have a firm favourite which I hated when he first said it but now it's grown on me

@lucyrp I said the bit about exes beating us to it :( I'd love a girl too! Ideally I'd like one of each but if had to have two of one kind I think I'd like two girls over two boys.

One of my school friends has twin girls and that whole family set up seems so dreamy. That would bankrupt me here in the UK though, whereas it's so easy back home 😭.

Is anyone else stupidly superstitious with the whole TTC thing? I said before I wasn't going to test until Friday because with my successful pregnancy we tested on a Friday 😂. Well I have been feeling pretty positive about this month so in my head I was thinking about what I would say when I contact the EPU for an early scan (they said just to call if I get pregnant again) and how I wouldn't register with the midwife at my GP surgery until I'd had an early scan because last time I had the booking appointment at 8 weeks to find out at my 12week scan it was a MMC. So tonight I had what looked like a pinkish tinge on the paper when I wiped. Barely noticeable but pretty sure it was there. Went out for a big walk and convinced myself it was because I was thinking about contacting the EPU etc that I'd jinxed myself and was feeling so shit that I ordered two more first responses from Amazon to come tomorrow so I can use the one FR in the bathroom tomorrow morning (14dpo and day before AF is due). Got home expecting to see more but nothing when I wipe so am now in bed, miserable as sin and still undecided as to whether to test tomorrow or not. My rational head tells me at least I will get a straight answer tomorrow but then my crazy superstitious brain is saying that's why it will be a BFN because I'm testing early.
My god this whole TTC malarkey seriously messes with your mind.
Think I will test if no sign of AF of the morning and then go from there. I wish I could just switch my brain off 😂

My GP put me through a little earlier than normal I think because of my periods and how they've been post-pill. So basically I was on the pill for 13/14 years and pre-pill periods were pretty normal - about 6 days long and medium heavy... then on the pill medium and about 4/5 days long... then since coming off the pill in November they last around 1 day 😱😱 which is obvs not normal so he just wanted to check my lining is building up properly and that I don't have a thyroid issue / progesterone deficiency / check I'm actually ovulating (as I don't get any EWCM either) ... stressful but I'm so happy that I'll finally get some answers this month! I just have to wait for AF before I can book my first blood test but obvs wishful thinking that it's not gonna show this time 🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Clairey844 aww thank you! Totally with you on the superstitious - ness ! I totally feel like I'm going to wake up to AF tomorrow morning. I've even put my period pants on for bed and a pad ready 😭 I want a hot water bottle but better not incase it doesn't come !

Baby names, so I want 4, 2 of each sex if im fussy 🤣 but 1 will do for now. OH wants 3, desperate for a boy. Id like a girl so I could go horse riding and do pony club 🙈 but also a boy because Ive always been quite a tom boy, and think Id be a cool mum that can name loads of footballers and rugby players 😆😆

Can anyone tell me about their symptoms? Me and wifey have had an argument so she's gone out for a walk with the dog. I am obviously not going through this physically and struggling with the whole 'not being able to carry' and having no control over any of this and especially not being able to feel/know what's going on...

@lucyrp yeah was a bit of fun but my nephew is now one of my favourite people, he has recently got a tattoo which says 'born of pain' I nearly killed him 😂 my mat leave is 7 weeks it's an absolute joke, I think it should actually be criminal not even a full 2months after you give birth, assuming you let your waters break in the office 😩

@Noble89 we definitely have a couple names picked out but really change my mind on them and OH disagrees with most, I've told him he can pick second name if I have the pick of first name 😂 you sound in such a good place this month it's good to hear x

@TTCmummy2021 sorry you've had a tiff but it's an emotional journey so don't beat yourself up, I personally don't really get pre-period symptoms and didn't have many when I was pregnant apart from wanting to nap more x

@Clairey844 Oh yes, superstitions all the way here too. And looking for signs in everything about anything. If I were you I would test again tomorrow but please try to detach it from thinking you are doing anything wrong. You are not, you are hoping for the best and naturally fearful of anything going wrong. I really hope all is okay and your mind will be put at ease.
This is probably totally irrelevant, but when lockdown started and our fertility clinic closed we estimated that treatment would probably restart in August. I was secretly super happy about this as I was hopeful for a May baby. This was so engraved in my brain that when they suddenly re-opened in May I actively resisted and kept telling my wife we had to wait until August. Luckily she stood her ground and said she was not willing to wait if there was an opportunity now. And I am so glad she did! I feel very foolish that I was focusing so much on my superstitious thoughts that it took over from common sense. What I am trying to say is probably everyone has superstitions during TTC but don't let it overtake from your clear judgement and especially do not blame yourself for anything. Cut yourself some slack. 😉

@TTCmummy2021 Sorry, just realise I didn't respond to your kind question about my wife. She is doing okay but super tired. We are both in disbelief still, the scan cannot come soon enough. We are not sure how her work situation will be affected by being pregnant. It is not great having to reveal it so soon at work but she will have to do for health and safety reasons.

@KateColx I think I'd actually like 4 but 3 I would be happy with and seems more or a manageable and practical number but who knows I'm baby mad so will probably end up with 10 🤣 joking! X

@lucyrp I used to feel like that about my name too as my dad wasn't great lucky for us girls it's easily changed if we want it to! It is just a name tho it's the person you are that matters x

@TTCmummy2021 the Main things I felt when PG was tired and sore boobies although I also just felt different....I knew even when I was getting bfn's I knew I was Pg I just had a feeling something was different which I know sounds mad! As for af just mardy and crampy mainly she's a right cow bag. I'm sure it's difficult watching wifey and feeling nervous I'm sure it will all be good try not to worry. Maybe make up for the sake of both of you....make her a nice drink and give her chocolate.....PG women love food....the way to make them happy is food....trust me my DH never was more appealing then when he fetched me food (especially ice cream and kfc) when I was PG x

She doesn't know we're TTC but she knows we were "thinking about it" she's a lovely friend and I'm sure she didn't mean anything to sound bad for my sake and I know how much she wanted this so she'll just be in her little bubble and I can't blame her for that! @Newbie0818 - I really do hope so. I did a test on 10dpo and that was negitive, so I will leave it a bit longer before doing another one, unless AF given me the answer.

Thanks @DAC21 you're right, testing tomorrow is not going to change what is happening in my body and at least I will stop second guessing myself.

@TTCmummy2021 not sure they're technically symptoms because I'm yet to test but my OH has been really bloody irritating me the last few days and I have come to the conclusion (not that I'd admit it to him) that it's probably me being hormonal rather than him so it could just be that your wife is feeling a little less tolerant ha ha, maybe hence the tiff. I whole heartedly agree with @Cocoblue22 about a food peace offering even if you know you're not in the wrong. Must be hard for you to be part of this group but not experiencing the physical symptoms yourself, your wife is lucky to have you so being so supportive x

I like that im older now and have more time as well as being in a better financial situation. I was pregnant at 17 and the others followed every 3 years so didn't get as much one to one baby time as I hoped if that makes sense?

@TTCmummy2021 So sorry to hear you are struggling, can really relate. Don't have much advice but sometimes I watch ASMR videos on youtube and they just help my mind stop being in overdrive. Also because I am a talker and wife isn't and sometimes I find it hard to spot when to shut up so need something to get my mind occupied with so that I leave her in peace.
