@Chlo2701 sorry about your ex lovely. It's shit. I found out a few days after my miscarriage that my friend at work was pregnant (an accident) and I couldn't help but feel angry.

@FridaKFangirl good news about your husband on nipple watch 🤣and I definitely felt very wet leading up to bfp. Wet, spotty and aching all over. 🤣Good luck lovely. X

ChicaXS · 15/06/2020 09:52

@PinkTulipz congrats hun so happy for you! Praying for a healthy and wonderful pregnancy. This has cheered me up! :) was this natural?

@lucieloos I am going to go for IVF yes since it’s been two years. I did get pregnant in last year and had to have a TFMR at 14 weeks in Feb this year because the baby had chromosomal problems. It was my first pregnancy and completely natural.

One of the other reasons I’m leaning towards ivf is due to genetic testing but I honestly prefer natural pregnancy’s I’m so scared of the thought of dragging my body through IVF.

Matilda19 · 15/06/2020 10:12

Im cycle day 17 4dpo i think xx eek

lucieloos · 15/06/2020 10:47

@PinkTulipz congratulations that's amazing! I'll update you on our list. Give us alllll the details! Did you dtd lots this month?

@ChicaXS I'm so sorry to hear about your termination. That must have been devastating and very, very hard. I honestly never found the physical side of ivf that taxing at all. In that respect I could happily do it time after time (and I did it many times) it's the emotional side that tends to drain you but stay strong and focused on the end goal and you will get there.

Happyhappy37 · 15/06/2020 11:14

@Matilda19 we are very close in our CD and DPO

ChicaXS · 15/06/2020 11:25

@lucieloos that’s reassuring to know! Did you do mild IVF or conventional? Mild focuses on egg quality whereas conventional is a numbers game! I will try and persevere during the process, in some ways it can give me some comfort considering I have goalposts to work with as opposed to natural cycles I feel like I’m at a whim most of the time!

Matilda19 · 15/06/2020 11:55

@Happyhappy37 oh yes we are baby dust to u xx keep me posted

lucieloos · 15/06/2020 12:04

@ChicaXS yes at least with ivf you know sperm has met egg and what you have to work with. I've done all sorts of ivf. I think I did 10+ egg collections in total. I lost track to be honest. I've done both mild and conventional. Mild got me my first born but conventional got me my son who was a frozen transfer. I tried mild again earlier this year. I got one good blast but it failed the genetic testing so no transfer.

ChicaXS · 15/06/2020 12:23

Wow @lucieloos 10+ egg collections? So is that 10 rounds of ivf? Bless you! Was this after your babies or before?
I am leaning towards mild since I’d rather not pump hormones in my body if it’s not necessary and only needed! Just torn as I have a food amh so conventional may suit me more and have a better chance. I’m really not an expert though. I’m so glad you got your little ones though :) I’d be happy with just one baby!
X

Lynnysong · 15/06/2020 12:45

Just catching up on the posts.
@PinkTulipz congratulations, so happy for you x

@Chlo2701 @Matilda19 the guy I was seeing was a narcissist, he lied over and over and broke promisees, borrowed a lot of money and swore he'd pay me back, kept saying he'd set up a standing order but no money ever showed up. It was horrible dealing with him and getting free of him. I'm so much stronger now I have. :)

leftitlate37 · 15/06/2020 12:53

@PinkTulipz massive congrats :) thats ace news!!

Wavesandsmilesagain · 15/06/2020 12:53

Hi everyone, catching up after a busy weekend (it was Mother’s Day here and I was very spoiled!)
Congratulations to the new BFPs, such positive news to read!

Sorry to those having a bad time at the moment, life can be really challenging and adding TTC into the mix takes it to another level.

I’m really trying to relax as I enter the two week wait. I’m conscious that age is against me and I’m already so lucky to have my children. I wish I’d met DP sooner but it took moving countries to finally find someone I wanted to stop being single for 😂

My ex DH was a toe rag, he eventually left when I was about 20 weeks pregnant with DS2 and then my little DD2 was unexpected (but awesome) when I was 37. I’ve been a single mum for nearly 7 years so it’s weird to be in a relationship and also trying for another. If we don’t manage to make a baby I think we might get goldfish.

lucieloos · 15/06/2020 13:09

@ChicaXS yes 10+ rounds mainly before babies although I didn't transfer with every round some rounds I froze whatever we got as I wanted to bank up embryos so that if we were fortunate to get one baby we would also potentially have some frozen embryos left to try for a second without having to start the whole process again. I think I've had 8 transfers - 1 ectopic, 2 chemicals, 2 babies and 3 bfns. It's a gruelling process but totally worth it. I always found that less meds suited me better and I actually got more eggs when I was on less meds than the full amount. Sometimes too much can fry them and some people's bodies just prefer the more gentle approach.

M4v3r1ck · 15/06/2020 13:21

@PinkTulipz amazing news!!! Soooo happy for you!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Sorry to hear about you ladies with the awful exes! Glad you are no longer in those situations and onto better and more wonderful things! 😘😘😘

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for some more BFPs this month!!!!

Lynnysong · 15/06/2020 13:41

@lucieloos That's really interesting about the eggs and medication. I was reading today that older eggs might not handle too much FSH and when an older lady gets pregnant it's in a more natural way. Ties in with what you were saying. Clomide might not work very well.

So I've decided to decrease the amount of soy next cycle too. Give it a little boost but not too much. I'll take it down to 40mg for a few days and then 80mg for the last two. Try a more gentle approach. :)

Lynnysong · 15/06/2020 13:44

I'll be testing wednesday morning and don't feel any symptoms whatsoever. For the first time in my life I'd be thrilled to throw up.

Trying not to feel fed up about this. At least I ovulate and I've only had 2 shorter cycles in the past year and that tends to be if I'm really unwell. Clutching at straws here. :(

PinkTulipz · 15/06/2020 15:30

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments, I'm am trying to remain cautiously optimistic! Will test again at end of the week to check if the line is getting a bit darker.

Yes happened naturally, we dtd a few times during fertile window, (I've been using the Flo app) and a few times before and after I thought I was ovulating. Definitely more than usual.

Symptom wise feels very like period symptoms; sore boobs and bit crampy but I have also had a bit of a metallic taste in my mouth.

Fingers crossed that you all get your BFPs very soon!

JustOneMore39 · 15/06/2020 15:42

Hi Ladies,

I hope you don't mind if I join in? I feel like I am late to the party, so hopefully that is ok.

To get you all up to speed:
39 - (40 in a few months).
Fell pregnant with DS in TTC cycle #3 when I was 38. He was born October last year, and whilst we are THRILLED to be lucky enough to have him, we would love to give him a sibling. I am currently around 12-14DPO, I think. I haven't really tracked as I only just got AF for the first time since having DS 4 weeks ago.
