Hello, looking for ladies with a similar cycle to mine, to discuss symptoms and get through the dreaded tww!

Thank you so much ladies. I couldn’t help myself I blurted it out to DP as soon as he came home and he burst into tears 🥰 hoping all goes well and we can tell our little ones in a few weeks they will be so excited! Good luck ladies

Vix2007 · 09/06/2020 19:47

Congratulations @Bumblebei ! That's so amazing. I hope everything goes perfectly for you from here on.

Congratulations @bumblebei 😁🎉

@NadJade Sure! Although I'm no expert - maybe others could chime in?

Post-AF (during the follicular phase) your temperature should be lowish and somewhat consistent. Around ovulation there should be a slight drop, followed by a surge and proceeding high temperatures. I've noticed a sudden drop in mine today, which I just read could be an implantation dip (if it goes back up again tomorrow), but that would be too early for me... I think I'm only about 5/6 days DPO as I haven't used OPKs. It's more likely just a mid-cycle drop (which can happen apparently).

From what I can tell, we want to see a triphasic pattern, so a third rise in temperature after ovulation, that happens at at least 7 DPO.

Although taking temps can help work out when we ovulate, it's tricky to use it to determine pregnancy... So I shouldn't let my hopes be dashed!

Does anyone else have insight on using temping? Smile

Sansa87 · 09/06/2020 21:59

I’ve spent all evening googling anything and everything that could support my egg implanting right now. I’ve officially gone crazy 😂

I’m pretty sure we were never taught in school how it should be impossible to get pregnant, & timing is key!

mm26 · 10/06/2020 06:46

Congrats @Bumblebei !! Amazing news 💕

How is everyone feeling today? I'm around 9/10DPO and still nothing. Obviously can't help myself and BNF today, but I think I'm still pretty early to be testing. Not feeling anything totally out of the ordinary the past few days. Just a dull ache (not quite cramps) in my lower abdomen and I'm hungry in the mornings but have no desire to eat- weird! Like if I think about food my brain just kind of goes: ew no. This is away by the afternoons. Wishing anyone testing lots of luck today! 🤞🏻💛

kirinm · 10/06/2020 07:13

9dpo and bfn here. Meh!

whambam89 · 10/06/2020 08:25

@mm26 I'm the same! Also 10dpo today, had light cramps / tugging yesterday and the day before and haven't been able to eat until 1 ish both days which is really unusual for me. Last night I had a terrible headache which has been a symptom for me in previous pregnancies so I have everything crossed. Hopefully a good sign for us!

BronzeSilverGold13 · 10/06/2020 08:28

@mm26 I'm 8DPO and I couldn't help myself today and tested this morning, got BFN so little disappointed but still way to early. I'm totally off food, like I just couldn't face food almost at all yesterday! I felt hungry but not so hungry I felt I needed to force myself to eat. I've had no cramps that I know of. I'm tempted to just wait to see if AF arrives on Tuesday!

mm26 · 10/06/2020 08:29

@whambam89 oooh good signs! Fingers crossed for you!
Yeah the not eating this is so weird for me. I'm usually unable to keep myself out of the kitchen looking for snacks, especially since I've been working from home! When are you going to test/when are you due AF?

mm26 · 10/06/2020 08:33

@BronzeSilverGold13 you'd have better willpower than me if you can make it that long! I'm massively addicted to POAS. If I'm trying again next month I'll need to get this in check as it's going to bankrupt us! Kind of allowing myself to do it this month as it's only my 2nd cycle ttc our first. But after this month, I'm going to try to make it through the tww without testing.

whambam89 · 10/06/2020 08:38

@mm26 I have quite short cycles so AF is due any time between Friday and Sunday - I've ordered some frers which will arrive today so might test first thing tomorrow. If the cramps have been implantation then I wouldn't get a positive until then anyway I don't think. When will you test again?

SS123456 · 10/06/2020 09:08

@leopardlover I chart my BBT and what you have said below sounds right to me. Apparently your resting heart rate shows signs of ovulation and implantation too with dips at both events

I got a BFN at 9dpo this morning but I am hoping that my BBT and resting heart rate charts look positive??

I can't rely on my RHR as it fluctuates so much depending on how I sleep and whether I've exercised or not. When I was pregnant with my DD it did rise a bit but then by 5 weeks it dropped down to AF levels.

Sansa87 · 10/06/2020 09:41

I don’t know why I’m feeling so negative, but bleh.

Still getting AF cramps. Slightly constipated (let me poop dammit) and my boobs feel heavy, but not sore yet. They usually get quite sore by the time af comes.

I’m 8/9dpo atm. This week is going so slow. I hate that ever so often I get a glimmer of hope. Just want it over so we can try again at the end of the month

kirinm · 10/06/2020 09:48

@Sansa87 I'm the same. I thought I was in with a good chance but now I don't feel like that at all. But I've been ridiculously testing from far too early, googling any symptom I can think of and let myself get carried away. I haven't been like this any other month. I'm starting to worry it won't happen again.

SS123456 · 10/06/2020 09:50

How many cycles into TTC are you all? This is month 8 for me 😔

kirinm · 10/06/2020 09:55

6 months but I'm 42 so really don't have time on my side.

Sansa87 · 10/06/2020 10:03

@SS123456 this is my first cycle with oh.

I did try for 7 years with a previous partner, and whilst his fertility tests came back with problems, mine did come back okay, but I’m still stuck in in the infertile mentality, which hasn’t helped.

SS123456 · 10/06/2020 10:11

@kirinm I'm 36 myself (37 in October) and fearing I don't have time on my side either

SS123456 · 10/06/2020 10:12

@Sansa87 fingers crossed you will conceived straight away this time around 🤞🏻😁

Karanciri · 10/06/2020 10:26

@Bumblebei Congrats! You must be thrilled, and it's very sweet that your husband had such a reaction. It is hard on them as well when you are trying and trying.

@Sansa87 Its very hard, I have been trying for 5 months now so not long but each cycle its like a kick in the teeth when AF comes. Hopefully you get your BFP first time but be prepared for it not to be. I keep telling myself that it is normal for it to take up to 12 months but it doesn't really help the 2ww anxiety!

I am 7DPO, feeling some cramps and had a load of CM (tmi sorry) which I haven't had before, not sure if that's a sign but I am hoping so!

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 10/06/2020 10:43

Morning Ladies. Still got a slight backache and some slight spotting. Tempted to test again but think I’ll resist as I felt so flat after yesterday’s BFN.

BronzeSilverGold13 · 10/06/2020 11:01

@mm26 honestly i just don't want the disappointment... this months our first proper month TTC my first! I'm swapping between "I'm going to test every other day until I either get or miss AF" and " I'm going to just wait it out" don't know which will play out in the end but I bought some cheap poundland strip tests just so I could test when I wanted. now I'm worried that they won't even work at all because they're so cheap! Urgh! It's so frustrating haha

I'm sure I had spotting but I've read that spotting can be a range of things and not just implantation so who knows what it was haha
