Tigger1987 · 14/06/2020 10:11

Morning everyone!!

I am very impressed with all the home improvements and work. We have only ever brought new builds as my OH and I are rubbish at DIY.

I have tracked BBT this month but my chart resembles a rollercoaster so don't think I have done it correctly. I had a dip below cover line and a rise today which I thought may be positive until the app came up with a warning about my luteal cycle being abnormal 🙈

Starting having some very typical AF cramps and lower back pain. Due Tuesday but feels like it could be today. Time will tell. Hope you all enjoy the sunshine today!!

Sansa87 · 14/06/2020 10:25

I’m super impressed with all your diy! We are just looking at houses that are max 10 years old 😂 looking at a new build in half an hour, but it’s £329k for a 2 bed, so really hoping that we don’t like it as that’s ridiculous 😂

Symptom update heavy achey boobs, & slight af cramping this morning. Starving too, but I am quitting smoking so that could just be me wanting a cig.

kirinm · 14/06/2020 10:26

@Sansa87 £550k for a two bed flat where I am (London).

Sansa87 · 14/06/2020 10:28

@kirinm crazy isn’t it 😅 we are about an hour outside London so not as bad as that.

I depress myself looking at houses further north.

LeopardLover · 14/06/2020 10:35

@Tigger1987 My BBT chart sounds similar haha.

@kirinm @Sansa87 I promise never to complain about house prices in the South West ever again. 😅 Good luck with the viewing!

@claireb707 Still think sickness is a good sign and there's time for that BFP!

whambam89 · 14/06/2020 11:34

No sign of AF for me still but only got 1 test left so don't want to test again yet. I'm not feeling very hopeful though, if my HCG levels were causing all the symptoms I've had then it should definitely show on a test by now. This will be my longest cycle since the ectopic but prior to that they had been 29/30 days so maybe my body is just finally returning to normal

Sansa87 · 14/06/2020 11:56

Man, that house was vastly overpriced! 😳

I’m trying to decide if what I’m feeling is nausea, or hunger. I did only have breakfast a couple of hours ago though.

I need to stop overthinking. I had lots of af pains over the last week, & now I’m just thinking “oooh what if they were implant pains!” But I’ve had no spotting, and no doubt I usually feel like this every month.

I remind myself that it can happen first cycle, but then shout at myself because no good comes from that thinking.

I really don’t want to test tomorrow.

Hello, I have been reading your posts and wondered if I could ask some advice please? My situation is slightly different but feel anxious and hoping someone has experienced something similar.

I stopped taking microgynon on the 25th of April, I had the usual withdrawal bleed a few days later which lasted 2-3 days and nothing since. It has now been 44 days since the end of the withdrawal bleed and no sign of AF. I had regular periods prior to taking microgynon and would say I had been on that pill for around 7 years. I took two pregnancy tests towards the end of ma

May which were negative. Should I take regular tests if we are TTC, I'm confused as I didnt think I would be ovulating if I have not seen AF? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sansa87 · 14/06/2020 12:04

Welcome @aec14 I’m no help but didn’t just want to read and run.

I came off the mini pill back in Feb, but only just started ttc. I think mine went regular straight away though. I didn’t check if I ovulated until this month though

mm26 · 14/06/2020 12:17

@Aec14 hi there! I was on Rigevidon a few years back, which I believe is a copycat version of microgynon? I came off that a couple of years ago (not ttc, just other reasons to come off it) but I remember it took ages for me to get my first period. I think it was something like 3 months and what signalled the end of the wait before I got my period was that my boobs were in agony.

I can't advise on the testing or anything as I wasn't ttc at the time I came off it. Sorry I'm not more use! My cycles weren't super regular from what I remember before I was on it as I went on it within maybe a year or 2 of starting my period. I was on it for about 4 years I think.

Aec14 · 14/06/2020 12:27

@mm26 @Sansa87 thank you so much for your replies :)

I didnt think I would want to see AF so much! Fingers crossed it will turn up soon and then hopefully I can start working out when I am ovulating.

PabsyPops · 14/06/2020 12:29

Oh god I've just found a stash of cheap pregnancy tests in the house... I'm only 10DPO... someone talk me out of using one 😂😂

kirinm · 14/06/2020 13:08

@PabsyPops I'd not be able to stop myself. I'm so annoyed I have no more tests! Waiting for AF to show tomorrow afternoon is no fun at all.

PabsyPops · 14/06/2020 13:26

@kirinm I have talked myself out of it. It's too early and it won't be FMU so it's just a waste of a test and will probably disappointing... maybe do one tomorrow tho 😂

kirinm · 14/06/2020 13:54

I don't have any tests so I did an OPK. I think it would need to be darker to be picking up HCG?

claireb707 · 14/06/2020 15:07

I used to have a 3 bed semi with my ex in Chelmsford, sold it when we split up for £265k.
Ive recently bought a big 4 bed detached with partner in Hull for £210k

House prices are crazy cheap up here 😂😂

Sansa87 · 14/06/2020 15:35

Feeling quite nauseous, but I think it’s just anxiety. Either way, the only thing that is helping is going for walks 🤢 just got back from a 2 hour walk with oh and already want to go back out.

Thought af had started on walk, it felt weird down there.

Karanciri · 14/06/2020 17:33

@LeopardLover @sansa87 @kirinm Wow a lot of diyers on here! We live in south London, used to live in Newcastle and had our own house that was 130k, 3 bedrooms semi detached and just 15 min to city centre Sad. Moved down here to be closer to my OH family, 400k for our house and we considered that a bargain! Luckily my OHs dad is in the trade so we had a lot of help from him and his mates! Stopped now though so it's good old YouTube to the rescue!

@kirinm not sure about using opks to detect pregnancy, heard about it but I have no clue if the line is supposed to be darker. When are your tests coming? Must be such a nervous wait!!

whambam89 · 14/06/2020 17:44

@kirinm technically it should be as dark / darker than the test line to be classed as positive but if you have more then I'd keep testing just to see - I've heard of people not getting a positive opk until after a hpt has picked up on it. Then people who've had a positive opk a week before a positive hpt. I got a very positive opk at 8 and 9dpo so got my hopes up but still getting negative hpts apart from the one which I'm sure was a false positive.

kirinm · 14/06/2020 17:44

Oh I live in South London too @Karanciri - whereabouts are you?

I haven't ordered any tests. I'm due AF tomorrow and am getting very obvious AF pains - kind of deluding myself! This month I'm going to buy clear blue OPks and just two pregnancy tests. I've had shadowy lines on the one step twice now and that just gives false hope.

kirinm · 14/06/2020 17:46

Thanks @whambam89 I'm pretty sure AF will be here tomorrow - all the signs are here and I'm just being silly in trying to convince myself it is anything but AF! Sorry you're getting negatives. I'm avoiding strip tests from now on.

krj2608 · 14/06/2020 17:55

I have just tested, am I going mad? I can see a hint of a second line.

kirinm · 14/06/2020 17:59

I can see it! But I'm wary of these tests at the moment. I would get a better brand just to double check. Do you have any others?

krj2608 · 14/06/2020 18:00

This is what I was worrying about. Although I used them with my other pregnancies and they were good.

I tested a few days ago with a clear blue and was really really faint. I have one more early clear blue so may use that in the morning to double check x
