@Mcbee26 I woke up in bed in a pool of blood and I couldn't make it from the bed to the bath without a river coming from me. I wore black jeans to hospital and by the time I got there the blood had soaked through 6 maternity pads, two towels and completely down and through my whole jeans was a nightmare☹️ oh that's good then, I had to stay in over night two nights I think I had to have an op. At least they could do it whilst you were awake xx

Juno231 · 06/06/2020 22:54

@Cocoblue22 25k now! I've been for two walks today, over 2,5h :) It helps that I have a fitbit and someone challenged me to a weekend step challenge and I'm super competitive 🙊

@Mcbee26 jebus I'm glad they're getting it out! Honestly have no clue about the CD but my guess would be if you were still showing positive hcg cause your body still thought it was pregnant then maybe today is more likely to be CD1?

Bear127 · 06/06/2020 23:08

@Mcbee26 Oh no how awful for you. I’m glad you’ve been able to be seen and treated ASAP. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way! ❤️

SS123456 · 06/06/2020 23:12

Jumping on the bus 😊

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 06/06/2020 23:13

@blodyn91 we could well have gone to the same school, everyone in snowdonia seems to know one another 😂 I went to a tiny primary school in fairness... And then a small secondary school 😂

DAC21 · 06/06/2020 23:25

Hello everyone! I have been following your bus from the start but was too shy to join in. I am in a somewhat similar position to TTCmummy2021. My wife and I are trying for second child, she is the one ttc. AF due anytime soon, symptoms promising.

@TTCmummy2021 I just came on to send much love to you, your story has really touched me. You and your wife have been through so much, you must be each other's rock, so inspiring to read you two getting through hard times together. Wishing you a very successful cycle! 🤞❤

@Everyone You are such a brilliant, genuine, funny and supportive bunch here. Thank you for giving the emotional uplift to keep sane! 🙂

TTCmummy2021 · 06/06/2020 23:36

Thanks @Minster2012 - trying to stay positive and hopeful. Much easier when there’s lots of lovely supportive ladies on here!!

@Mcbee26 - so sorry. Loss of any kind regardless of how far along is just horrible and heartbreaking 🥺

@DAC21 - wonderful to see another girl couple here! Thanks for saying such nice things. We’ve had a very rough time and have only just come through the other side! How old is your eldest? Did you carry last time? I love that you are adding to your little family. We only have fur babies so far ❤️

Mcbee26 · 06/06/2020 23:42

Thanks everyone! That’s me home now and been told to wait until I get my period before ttc so about a 4 week wait before I can start trying again. Suppose it’s for the best to let my body settle xx

TTCmummy2021 · 06/06/2020 23:53

@Mcbee26 - so glad you are home and recovering. Take it easy and be kind to yourself. We tried too soon and ended up with a chemical first time out. Can’t say for sure that it was because of that but we always wonder! Get chocolate and films xx

SarahTTC2020 · 06/06/2020 23:56

@Mcbee26 I'm so sorry, rest up and hope you recover soon xx

SarahTTC2020 · 06/06/2020 23:58

Feel sooo tempted to test tomorrow!! I'll be 13dpo and I've seen some people get strong bfp before then... But also AF not due until 11th (when I'd be 16dpo as long cycles) ... Would you wait or test?

DAC21 · 07/06/2020 00:03

@TTCmummy2021 Our first is nearly 2, my wife carried him too. Initially our plan was for each one of us to carry, but for various reasons I got cold feet... So I only know the 'other half' side of TTC but it can be really anxiety inducing and I am so conscious of not passing that on to my wife. But I don't think I am very successful at that. I sometimes wonder if men feel this way too about TTC and parenthood? Maybe.
We are doing IUI, are you too?

I can't even begin to understand everything that you have been through. Really love your tattoos!

KRK05 · 07/06/2020 00:10

@Mcbee26 So glad your home. Look after yourself & make sure your spoilt from OH 💕

TTCmummy2021 · 07/06/2020 00:12

All my tattoos have special meanings otherwise I don’t get one. I have 2 others - one is Harry Potter (major geek!) plus a link for our marriage and other is for our dog! I’m not stupid tho as I know we’ve been through hell and back in our 2yrs TTC but at a certain point we have to start moving forward. It’s been the worst time not just TTC but also seeing dear friends have children. We love them but it’s so hard too. I’ve also been told that I will probably never carry a child which hurts more than I can express but I have to accept that at least for now.

So your eldest will be almost 3 if you catch this cycle? That’s a nice age gap! Your wife has been getting good vibes/symptoms? When will she test? We are both beyond anxious but more because of our experiences. It’s so hard not to be though isn’t it!! We are doing at home insemination. How’s it been doing IUI?

Minster2012 · 07/06/2020 01:05

@DAC21 welcome to the bus! Lovely to hear you come out if lurking 👀

@SarahTTC2020 I would wait another couple of days if you can 🤞🏻Just to be safe xxx good luck & welcome to you too!

Minster2012 · 07/06/2020 01:55

Oh so drunken...you are all asleep...even the Aussies...forgive me ladies it’s the first time I’ve seen friends (actual REAL LIVE FRIENDS) 💃🏼👯‍♀️In 11 weeks & a bit drunk...DH still drinking with his mate who brought his camper van for our driveway 😂...but I’ve drink lots of water so 🤞🏻remind me in the morning of my hangover cures:

  • more water
  • lucozade lite
  • migraine & antiemetics
  • more water
  • coffee
  • then maybe food????

Wish me luck!

To anyone testing tomorrow masses of 🍀💪🏻

Skip86 · 07/06/2020 03:08

Morning ladies! CD8 here and all a bit boring, so I need a BFP boost! Who's testing today? 😃 lots and lots of luck 🤞🏼

@DKDK123 oh hon that really sucks. Sounds like you have everything covered with that list though! And perhaps add to it - 'stay away from neighbour'

@Bear127 I totally get feeling anxious about being on the ttc/preg journey alone. I got married and had kids at a very average age (28) but not a single one of my close family or friends were even in long term relationships! I had serious anxiety about having no one to share the experience with, so was desperately hanging out for the first mother's group session (not sure about the UK, but in oz you are automatically put into a community mothers group with other ladies who have had their first baby in same month as you). Within the first 2 minutes of being there I already knew these were not my kinda people! I was so sad. I am so so grateful that an old school friend saw on FB that I'd had a baby and invited me and a few other girls to morning tea when our babies were all about 2 months. We are all still the best of friends and our kids are too.
Sorry long story, but moral is don't stress - there will be so many opportunities to meet new people in similar situation to you, and don't be afraid to reach out and make new friends! It's priceless having that sort of support 💕

@TTCmummy2021 and @DAC21 wow your stories are so interesting. It has got me wondering though, neither of you will be carrying the baby but are still so invested in the journey that you're the one in the relationship on MN forums.. I wonder if any of our male OHs would do that..? (Answer: un-bloody-likely)
I love that you are both so involved and supportive! Your OHs are very lucky xx

@Minster2012 I started writing this a good 2 hours ago, and only just saw your boozey post! Hahaha wooohoo girl!! Let that hair down 💃
Hangover suggestion #57: get hubs to look after DC all day so you can sleep and do a face mask.

Cocoblue22 · 07/06/2020 05:45

@Mcbee26 hope you’re okay that sounds horrible!! Hope you recover quickly get plenty of rest x

Cocoblue22 · 07/06/2020 05:58

Good morning ladies early 5am start for me today....tested again....BFN😭. So I think that’s me officially out and prob means I didn’t ovulate this month. I kinda expected it tbf being first month off the pill but was hopeful regardless. Now I just need AF to hurry up so I can start a new cycle. Not testing again won’t waste my remaining FR I think I’ll just wait for AF to arrive now. Bit disappointed but nevermind x

Hogrider · 07/06/2020 06:18

Morning! Can you imagine an IKEA flat pack with a brown wig and pregnancy belly?! Got a shock of my life yesterday....! NHS site puts me at 4 weeks!

SmileyT · 07/06/2020 06:21

@Mcbee26 sending you so much love, hope you are being looked after at home xx

Welcome @DAC21 ❤️

@SarahTTC2020 if you want to test just go for it... I don't think the length of your LP really has an impact on when you can test as healthy embryos normally implant before 12dpo i believe it's just whether your levels of hcg are high enough to be detected by a HPT. If you can wait until your period is late is the best chance of getting an accurate result but if you can't, good luck for testing xx

Glad you had a good night @Minster2012 🍻 🥂 and don't forget your hangover list x

@Cocoblue22 sorry it was a BFN this morning, remind me what CD you are on? Could it be that your cycle is longer than your expected as it's first month of pill so could've ovulated later? Either way I hope you get a definite answer soon and get to move on to your next cycle or have a surprise late BFP xx

@Skip86 I'm with you... I need more BFPs, pretty grey in London this weekend so need a pick me up. Also it's interesting you say that about OHs on here as mine was the one who pointed me in the direction of MN as he used it a lot during and after my MC and then for tips for ttc afterwards. I think if it was more men friendly he would've engaged more with it, I think he feels very useless sometimes especially as it's our first and we don't know if there is an issue 😩

SmileyT · 07/06/2020 06:24

Oooohhhhh just talking about needing some BFPs. Congratulations @Hogrider 🥳 🎉 I'm sure you will be glowing but the ikea flat pack image does really tickle me.

How are you feeling? How many dpo are you now? What symptoms do you have? Any hints and tips for us ladies? xx

OP posts:
Cocoblue22 · 07/06/2020 06:32

@Hogrider congratulations 🎉 lovely to hear you got your BFP! Remind us of your info cycle no etc dpo? And previous negatives before BFP? X

Cocoblue22 · 07/06/2020 06:40

@SmileyT I think it’s pretty unlikely and I’m probably grasping at straws. Last time I came off the pill we didn’t try for a good 7months but my cycle just continued at 28 days like clockwork but I wouldn’t have known if I’d actually ovulated of not (I had been on pill about 14 years so thought it could take a while to get out my system). However this time I’ve only been on it about 2 years or just under so I thought it might of restarted straight away. I was hopeful it was my out of date sticks that just hadn’t picked up and LH surge.

I’m CD27 today my CB put me back to low on CD 26 so haven’t tested since and haven’t DTD for a week since CD19 so I guess if it was CD22 or later I wouldn’t have a chance but since it didn’t detect anything by CD26 I gave up testing as a bad job! I also feel like I can feel AF on her way boo! Bit crampy! So I guess my sore boobs were just due to normal hormones boo! And maybe the nausea was from going in the car!

I’m going to order a fresh pack of sticks for next cycle and give it my best shot x

DAC21 · 07/06/2020 06:47

Thank you all for your lovely welcomes!
@Hogrider Congratulations on your BFP! We have got ours too, cannot believe it!!! 15 dpo, with artificial insemination (IUI) timed within 24h of smiley on clear blue ovulation test.

@TTCmummy2021 If this all becomes true then it would mean 2.5y age gap. I obsess about dates far too much in the ttc process. Have all sorts of Excel sheets calculating dates of everything pregnancy related in advance but my wife doesn't know as this would make her anxious. I think I do this because it makes me feel a bit in control. Do you also find it difficult not to be in control at all?
Does home insem mean you can do it more than once in a cycle? With iui I find it really stressful that there is only the one shot. We are using a donor from a sperm bank, so clinic is the only route. But I think it suits us better anyway.

@Skip86 I know what you mean, I sometimes feel like a weirdo being on these forums and reading everything TTC! 😂 Wife says she likes it that I do these things and take care of all practicalities. She often wonders how other women do both the carrying and the logistics of pregnancy as I took care of much the rest for paperworks, getting all the baby clothes, furniture, essentials, packing hospital bag...etc. I have loved doing all these!

@Minster2012 don't forget your hangover cures! 😉 Yoghurt (or even better kefir) also works well for me.

Fingers crossed for everyone testing soon!
