I was like a woman possessed last night. My opk’s we’re getting darker, actually had some proper ewcm, and practically jumped on dh in the lounge 🤣 is doggy a bad idea if ttc? 🙄

@lucyrp I know some people say every other day is best for ttc (I did every day this cycle too lol)

@LittleRa I think they only say that because most people don't normally DTD even every other day so its more than usual but not too much. We do it every day normally anyway but the days we probably miss usually are the important ones no doubt 😂 I was watching a thread briefly before and there was a lady on there that said they'd done it twice the whole month and it was too much for her 😬😶

@Newbie0818 8 hope not because that's one of the positions we do the most 😂😂

Quick update from me before I log off for a few days

EPU have said it's common and I've to rest for 72 hours to see how it goes. It was a different midwife than last night, and she was much more positive as I've not had any more blood but the cramps are concerning.

So I'm setting myself for a weekend of movies and relaxing, and being petrified of going to the loo and looking down.

@lucyrp sorry about your test results ☹️ don't beat yourself up too much (I did some googling and sometimes you go through a no ovulation cycle after CP/MC so it may just be that hun x try not to get down too much about it and hopefully next month happens 🤞🏽

@lucyrp I think it’s to do with the amount and quality of sperm produced each time.
I obviously don’t know, and there are is lots of different advice, I just mean if you’ve tried multiple times a day this time and it hasn’t worked, could try the every other day next time just to see.
I know what you mean, as when I told my DP about every other day he said “I didn’t think trying for a baby would actually mean LESS sex!!” and we did end up doing every day from CD8 to CD24 ha ha

@LittleRa surely it's exactly the same sperm just less each time rather than a huge load in one go ?! 🤣when we didn't have sex for two days OH said omg look at my balls feel them they're huge 😂😂

@lucyrp Yeah, like I say there’s loads of different advice and things to try (there are other sites I could screenshot that say ejaculating every other day increases sperm count), and I’m totally not an expert or even advocating it because like I said I did every day too, but just because you said since you did it every day and didn’t know what else you could do, that’s an idea of something different to try on the next cycle

Hi everyone. Month 8 for us now . TMI but... I am concerned about my lack of natural lubrication. DH and I can't ever DTD without lubricant. During my fertile window, we use pre-seed or conceive plus but I do wonder if my lack of CM is hindering our progress. Since stopping the pill, my cycles have returned to their regular length (28 day average) but we have yet to conceive. Also beginning to wonder if I'm even ovulating...

somebody else might be able to advise you on Ovulation Prediction kits. Im thinking of using them next cycle. So they will tell you of you had an LH surge, which sort of gives an idea that you have tried ovulating. Have you spoken to your GP regarding CM?

@marykay124 also whats your diet like? cod liver oil, salmon and liver are really good vitamin A sources for good CM. Wheras veg lile carrot and kale are high in pro vitamin A, so your body has to convert that into VitA and some people lack this gene. I chuck liver in stewes and pies, not a fan of it by itself

@lucyrp not to worry its totally normal! but from what I remember my MW said you can still get an LH peak (i think your body tries to ovulate hence the surge and sometimes succeeds but in some cases it doesn't) purely because your bleeding from CP/MC isnt exactly a normal period so it's normal to have a no ovulation cycle after. Also the whole thing that if you do ovulate it could be at a really funny time as your body tries and fails and then succeeds! Are you late on your AF now? It took mine 6 weeks to come back and I didn't bother trying straight afterwards as I thought I wouldn't ovulate (and even if I did it would have been way later than normal by those dates) hope that helps and cheers you up a little bit 😁 x

@Mococo1 now I'm panicking! My last bleed was on the 10th for 5 days and it was just a normal period but it was my bleed from CP at the same time and the midwife said that it would just be normal period because an embryo had been made but hadn't attached so I wouldn't expect to see it any different to a period. So I took the first day of my bleed as CD1 and now I'm thinking what if my period doesn't come and I'm not pregnant I'm not going to know what's going on😫x

Nooo don't panic pleaseeee ! Your midwife is probs right aif you had a CP etc with the no attachment etc- I defo had a MC so it was probs completely different for me but I really wouldn't worry - as everyone's said there is only a 25% chance every month even if you did ovulate! Your period will come just don't be too worried please!! Ahh I so did not want to worry you hun! Xxx

I was using OPKs but stopped 2 cycles ago as I was becoming quite obsessive and down each month after a failed cycle. I used the CB OPKs and did get a static smiley each month. We both eat a lot of fish but thank you for the other suggestions, I will add more of these to my diet.
