New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

@Smushty14 ahh I went to the spa there about 5 years ago and I remember it being lovely! I'm thinking about spas now... maybe if I don't get my BFP this month ill treat myself to one when they reopen

@msanne it seems to be different for everyone from what I've seen on here, it's my first month as well using them, and I'm on day 6 of a flashing smiley face!

Haven't exactly 'tried' this month... 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was on a thread last month which was quite supportive so thought I'd join this one!

Girls, can I have some help? sorry, been chasing after a lively toddler all day so finding it hard to catch up! I'm CD11, due to ovulate (according to Ovia app) in 2 days. I always ovulate around the same time every month so just waiting for EWCM to show up. I've been using these cheapy OPKs and this is the only from about half hour ago. Does that look like the right(ish) sort of colour for where I am in my cycle? Finding this so much more confusing the 2nd time around! Thanks for any helpx

I use ovaview OPKs from amazon. They're fab. I did use CB for a few cycles but one month i nearly missed my peak on it. I found it was only good as you can test with FMU but now i just hold for about 3 hours and find the ovaview ones just as accurate. I used to get 3 or 4 days of flashing. I think it depends on when you start testing and can take a couple of cycles to understand your base levels

There was also a question about ovia app. I find it accurate but i think only because i log my OPKs. I think if you're not using
OPK it just guesses fertile days based on your cycle length. So if your luteal phase isnt the standard 14 days it can be a day or two out. Adding pain to mine doesnt usually effect the dates.

For whoever mentioned the zoo. I cant wait to go again. Love animals. West Midlands safari park is also really good.

@kate123cl looks about right to me. It should get darker over next day or 2

@Whilstwewait I’m not even close to my fertile window but can’t not put the legs in the air these days, my boyfriends like right legs up 🤣 I try telling him it’s only CD11 and he looks at me like and!?!

@fran2020 sorry just re-read you post and realised I missed a couple of questions. Sorry. Im getting on ok. Definitely more chilled this month. Not going to lie its still on my mind but im not obsessing as much. One friend had said she was going to try this year and her little girl is now 3 so imagine they will. Although covid may have put them off. Im just guessing with the other. I know couldn't believe they got togetber and pregnant during lockdown xx

@DancingDog welcome. Hope this is your month. I suppose with tests it all depends on your age and how willing you are to wait. Lots of people get pregnant cycle 16 onwards naturally. It does just take time and a lot of the time it is just luck. However if you're older or desperate for a baby its worth just having basic checks to test xx

@Littlebee1990 haha if im not fertile im like sod this. Straight up to the toilet. What day you due to ovulate? Im day 11 as well xx

CD11 for me. Have been having a few twinges today on my left side. Also had a bit of CM but streaks of brown in it (sorry, TMI!). I am hoping this is just some ovulation bleeding so will see how it goes. Will be jumping on OH later.

Question to anyone that might be more in the know - how long should you keep DTD after ovulation, just to be on the safe side? I'm conscious we've only DTD on CD9 so far, so want to give myself the best chance we can from now on.

@cd24x I've heard that it's a good idea to do it for 2 or 3 days after ovulation, but I'd only say to do that, if you definitely know when you ovulated, & if you'd used ovulation strips to make sure. If you haven't been tracking then I've known for ladies to do it every other day up until their AF

@Whilstwewait I have really long cycles arghh they’re like 32 days!! So I don’t think I’ll ovulate until 16th which will be CD17. How about you?

Hi everyone, hope it ok to join this thread, haven't been on here for a few weeks so it will be nice to jump on here.

I'm 29 and my partner is 30. We are trying for our first baby. Been off the pill since October but weren't actively trying (tracking/testing/timing etc) but to be honest I think we both thought it would have happened by now hence why last cycle I got test strips and downloaded Clue. Since coming off the pill I was lucky and have had 28/29 day cycles, no idea when I ovulated as no symptoms however last cycle, the same month I started tracking etc, I randomally had a 38 day cycle..

Anyway new month now and I'm on CD 14. No idea if I have ovulated or not, not having much joy with opks (using ebay cheapies) but due next AF (if I'm back to regular 28/29 days) 26th June.

@Chlo2701 Thanks for the info. I think as I'm not actively tracking ovulation using strips then we'll just keep DTD as much as we can until AF (although hoping she doesn't make an appearance!)

@kate123cl that looks like it could be creeping up towards a peak so i would prob start dtd regularly...O usually occurs 12-36 hours after peak! I had my peak on Sunday afternoon and im sure i felt O occur that evening!

@peonyrose87 yeah we did 5 in a row...would have done it last night but i fucked my phone and was in a blind panic trying to sort it out/back it up so didn't really feel in the mood 😹

@motherofdinosau Thank you!! You probably did, I usually always feel my ovulation stronger than AF cramps! I've just bought some digital ClearBlue ones so I'll give them a go too! We've dtd the last 5 nights so will continue

@dogmam welcome! I was in a similar boat - had my implant removed in January and just assumed if we had sex regularly it would happen. Turns out it's not always that simple so we are on the first cycle of tracking too.

Is anybody drinking during their TWW? Just ordered a takeaway for when DH gets home and not sure whether to get the wine out or not. Part of me thinks I shouldn't just in case ive caught but the other part of me doesn't want to not do things I enjoy 'just in case' indefinitely you know?

@HellloBambinos I always have abit of wine or some gins in my TWW. I just try & keep everything as normal as possible because it's stressful enough TTC as it is. I'd just stop once you get a BFP x

@motherofdinosau oh no!! That's awful. Hope you get it sorted!! Yeah we're hopefully going to dtd tonight too, although I'm shattered 😂

@DoctorBambino I know what you mean, I'm the same, so much waiting! Although I'm trying so hard just to keep everything chilled this month!

@cd24x we DTD on CD7 and 9. Today is CD11 and I got peak so we DTD and will do tomorrow and the day after.

My OH and I are both 30 and trying for no. 1. We are on our 6 month of trying. My AF is due 23 June so will probably test around then.

I use ClearBlue OPKs and this month got my peak early on day 8 (also got EWCM on day 6 and 7) so really hoping this is my month.

This TWW is a struggle seriously counting down the seconds!!

@Kovu welcome! Good luck for this month, sending you lots of positive vibes. Had you been using other OPK's before?
This is our first month trying for our second. I feel like It's going to take ages this time as with my daughter I think we just got lucky.

@HellloBambinos I carried on drinking a lot in the TWW wait with my first because I really did think that month was a right off! I had a cheese and wine night with Brie, Camembert and all sorts too 🤣
Obviously I won't be that reckless this time but i will have the odd Prosecco here and there I think! For our sanity

Morning everyone...its Friday!! another day checked off the TWW and its pretty much the weekend 😍

I came across a good article last night so thought I would share...
I had my peak on opk late Sunday afternoon, approx 6/7 hours later I was sure I could feel very intense Ovulation pain & cramps...always thought it happened 12-36hours after peak...so my thinking is i did the opk and caught the peak just at the end and then ovulated that night. If I had done an opk Sat night or Sunday am it may have shown peak then too!
