24th June - 4th July Testing Buddies

New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

@Florarenniemackintosh yeah! Me and my partner are not sure whether we DTD at the right time even though we were doing it a lot. Could've slightly been missing out some months. What OPK have you ordered?

1992EM · 03/06/2020 18:37

That is good to know. I am only on the second month of trying so didn't want to add that pressure when it could be a long road and a lot of money of tests as I can't help myself 😂. I am so glad I found mumsnet as I was second guessing everything and I felt very alone. I also didn't want to get my partners hopes up so didn't tell him about lots of the symptoms either. We haven't told anyone we are trying as I don't want that added pressure. It is nice to char to people going through the same thing.

nervousnoob · 03/06/2020 18:45

Hi everyone. I joined Mumsnet yesterday and found this wonderful thread Smile This will be our second month of trying. I should be testing around 1st week of July. I'll try my best not to give in to Early Testing.
My husband and I are both 33. (Of course I'm dealing with the pressure that maybe we have delayed it too much Sad) Haven't used any OPK, simply rely on calendar method, as my cycle is pretty regular. Although, for some cruelly ironical reason my period was delayed by 8 days (for the first time in my life), and May was my first month trying.

1992EM · 03/06/2020 18:48

@nervousnoob . This was my first month trying and I was 5 days late. I am also on time and have been since being off the pill for 10 months . No idea why I was late but I was beginning to get excited and then bam AF arrived 😢

mrswilso · 03/06/2020 18:49

Hi all 👋🏻
Excited to share with you all again this month!
I'll be due again on 29th of June ✨

Littlebee1990 · 03/06/2020 22:18

Wow! So many of us, I’m hoping I haven’t missed anyone holla if I have! Ladies hope you don’t mind but I’ve put username, AF/test date and also cycle number.. thought it could help perhaps connect people with people who may be at similar points, I hope none of you mind 💕

So excited for this month! Good luck to everyone!

@Whilstwewait @Florarenniemackintosh lucky cycle 12 for the 3 of us! Smile

HellloBambinos · 03/06/2020 22:33

Hi everyone, would love to join if that's ok Smile

I'm due 23rd June latest (my cycles vary by a few days each month) so if AF doesn't rock up I will be testing on the 24th.

I had my implant removed back in Jan and nothing has happened so this is my first cycle properly tracking! So I'm either on cycle 6 or 1 Grin I'm 27 and DH is 30, planning on doing SMEP this month starting hopefully tonight (if he ever comes up to bed that is)

Best of luck to everyone x

Tokyo29 · 04/06/2020 02:09

@dizzypixie - I'm also an accountant living abroad with my British husband right now (username kind of gives the location away)! Not working unfortunately because of language restrictions. We figured it would be an appropriate time to try for kids as I want to start working again when we move to a predominantly English-speaking country.

Fredthefrog · 04/06/2020 07:49

Hope no one minds if I join. Trying in a relaxed way since Jan but nothing. Due to test on the 28th. I'm 34 and my partner is 39 and this is number 2 for us and 1st time was very quick so this is quite different.

dizzypixie · 04/06/2020 08:15

Hello @Tokyo29! Yeah, it’s a good time to start trying - it’s also a good way to make friends abroad as you can join all the antenatal groups and things (although I don’t know what it’s like in Japan). I’ve been in my job for 3 and a bit years and am pretty secure now in my position at the company, so feeling like I’m in a good place professionally to take time out. Maternity leave here is pretty rubbish though (I’m in Switzerland), so I’m hoping my company will be a bit flexible. I’ve heard it’s worse in Japan, so it’s probably not a bad thing that you’re not working at this time. How long have you been out there?

Thanks @Littlebee1990 for the list - it’s nice to feel like part of a group and see who is around your time.

Hello to all the newbies! Good luck to everyone!

SK2970 · 04/06/2020 09:39

Hi! Please can I join!
On cycle 2 for baby #1. Taking it pretty easy at the moment, only tracking on Flo app and might monitor RHR on Fitbit.
I'm 29 and DH is 30, never thought would want children as we have lots of nieces and nephews who we adore but feel it's the right time, it's now or never! I love that it's our little secret, nobody else knows we even considering it!
It's my 30th mid-July so concerned about getting pregnant now and my mum giving me champagne, but will have to deal with that IF it happens before then! My mum just can't keep a secret and would be hinting at other family members and would like to keep it secret until 12 weeks. I was a prem baby and my mum had multiple miscarriages so would like to know everything ok before people know!
Would be due to test 27th June.
Wishing everybody luck with their journeys! x

nervousnoob · 04/06/2020 09:45

Ha! I feel you @SK2970, my mom is JUST the same. Even we haven't told anyone yet that we are trying, but for my closest friend, who gave birth last year.

dizzypixie · 04/06/2020 09:52

I’ve found the drinking thing is quite easy to fake - we had a dinner with our friends last week, and I accepted a glass of Prosecco, and took tiny tiny sips and fake sips (just holding the glass to my lips but not taking it in), and my husband sneakily drank from my glass until it was gone. I made it last for half the evening, then accepted a glass of red and did the same thing. I must have only drunk about 3 tiny sips in total the whole night, which I don’t think will do any harm, and no one was suspicious. It’s way more obvious if you outright refuse, especially if you’re normally a hearty drinker like me 😂

dizzypixie · 04/06/2020 09:52

Hope that helps!

msanne · 04/06/2020 10:25

@Littlebee1990 thank you for putting together the list!

So lovely to see so many of us will be trying this month! Baby dust to all xoxo

Fran2020 · 04/06/2020 10:40

Looking forward to a lucky month with all of you ladies 😊

Maybe333 · 04/06/2020 10:47

Oh yes please, can I join in too.. I have seemingly very long cycles (36days) since I came off the coil in January and I am TTC #3 actually. I have a 5yo and 7yo and thought we were done but both DH and I have recently had an overwhelming urge to add one more to our family, we might be mad! But can cannot deny these feelings. This is cycle 3 and I am due AF on my birthday!!! But will test 2 days before to hope for the best.. So will be testing on 22nf June. So glad there's a group for my testing window now as I've been on the May and June bus but with such long cycles people tend to come and go quickly, long before I've even ovualted sometimes! I think I'm ovulating this weekend as I'm starting to see a good rise in my opks. Ps. I've never used opks in my life before so this is a whole new world to me! I'm just trying to pinpoint an ovulation date if possible as I'm worrying I'm not even ovulating at all since the coil. Fingers crossed 🤞 for everyone!

SK2970 · 04/06/2020 11:14

@dizzypixie Cunning - I love it!! I'm not much of a drinker thankfully so wouldn't be too noticeable if it wasn't my birthday. Will have to come up with a plan with DH if need to - hope will need to 🤞🏻

MyGossip · 04/06/2020 11:25

Hi ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining too?

32 and TTC baby #1. Came off the pill in January after 16 years on it and thankfully went back into a normal 27-31 day cycle. This month I've actively been testing my OPK and just got high this morning ❤️ Been using vitamins the last two months and cutting out caffeine and eating ALL the pineapple.

According to my apps AF will be due around 24th and praying for a BFP. Good luck to you all too ❤️

Wyewaving · 04/06/2020 11:44

@MyGossip What does pineapple do? I’m intrigued...

MyGossip · 04/06/2020 11:46

@Wyewaving one of my friends told me it's meant to help with implantation etc. I rather enjoy pineapple so I don't mind consuming lots of it!

Wyewaving · 04/06/2020 11:58

@MyGossip Oh that’s interesting, thanks. I’m not a fan of pineapple so might leave that one for a while 🙈

Florarenniemackintosh · 04/06/2020 12:53

@Fran2020 @Whilstwewait cycle 12 team indeed :)

Welcome all!
@dizzypixie
The drinking thing : I come from Scotland (if you didnt guess already), where you need a very convincing no-drinking alibi. I said that I am doing a health kick and that includes not drinking for a month. Then, I just said I was enjoying not drinking, so going to be teetotal for longer. When you are doing it for something, people are just like 'oh okay then', whereas I find when I said I didn't fancy it, people would be like 'go on, go on, go on go on' etc.

Thought you might all enjoy this.
I did it with OH and found it relaxing. There are lots of conceiving yoga and meditation videos out there : does anyone recommend any others?

Peace and positivity to you all

MyGossip · 04/06/2020 13:53

@Florarenniemackintosh from Scotland too and I can fully agree. The first thing you always get drink friends and family if you're not drinking and don't have an excuse is ...'are you pregnant?' And tbh I myself have asked that to people in my younger days. Only now I see how thoughtless a comment like that can be 🙈🙈

I just done another OPK and it's dropped since this morning but my CB has a static smiley. EWCM too! I've been having really open and honest convos with hubby so he's on board... we both agreed to try and make the next two/three days non regimented! If anyone has any tips would be fab... I mean I have just put a full face on for the first time in 8 weeks 🙈🙈
