New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

@mrswilso I'm good thank you, I've been feeling really positive recently. But a friend just told me they were pregnant and it's shook me a bit. Yeah I bet there is, I've been trying to look at mine too. Oh yeah definitely!! 😂

@dizzypixie yay another buddy! Oh dear that's not good!

@kate123cl definitely!!

Fran2020 · 09/06/2020 21:55

@mrswilso @dizzypixie thank you! I really appreciate that! ❤️✨ I hope it's my month too 🤞🏼 and yours too! I need to get myself feeling positive again somehow!

itsgood2talk · 09/06/2020 22:01

Hello! Can I join too... I’m 32 and husband is 42. We are TTC #2 cycle 6 I’ve been using Ovia app so far with no luck so this month we are trying SMEP and using OPKs AF due 29th June.

HellloBambinos · 09/06/2020 23:10

@Fran2020 oh that's such an awful feeling. Be kind to yourself - your time will come. I remember just after we started TTC we went out for drinks with some neighbors we are friendly with and they announced- felt like I'd been punched as I was imagining us telling them at drinks not the other way round. I am happy for them (even tho they are about to have their baby and I'm not even pregnant Blush) but still an odd feeling.

I'm sure I had more CM around this time last month but I can't be sure as I wasn't keeping a record then. I've been super busy at work tho so I'm hoping it's up there it just hasn't (ahem) made it out of my cervix cause I've been sat on my bum for two days and gravity Blush probably not true but a girl can hope!

HellloBambinos · 09/06/2020 23:12

Welcome @itsgood2talk! I'm trying SMEP too Smile how old is your DC1?

sle0911 · 10/06/2020 07:35

@cd24x I was gutted to start with but have my head around it now and excited again! What about you? Has yours been easy to postpone? Seen lots of horror stories about venues not refunding deposits etc 😱 we are getting married in Cyprus! So only going to give it this cycle and possibly next then will have to put on hold again until after as don't want the baby toooo Young to take abroad! X

Fran2020 · 10/06/2020 08:07

HellloBambinos Thank you! That's why I'm so glad I've found these groups as everyone is so supportive! A very odd feeling. It'll be our time soon! Smile
Yeah definitely, stress/ being busy etc seems to affect lots of things. Fingers crossed it happens soon- which cd are you?

Fran2020 · 10/06/2020 08:07

So today I now have high on my monitor (I was expecting it to go straight from low to peak last last month) so that's good! Also, EWCM with a streak of blood this morning, which says it's a sign which happens around ovulation. Anyone else had that?

peonyrose87 · 10/06/2020 08:09

Morning everyone!

After five days of DTD I'm on CD15 and in the tww. A day off today, then our one for luck tomorrow. Does anyone keep testing for a few days after their peak just go check for sure? I got a peak on CD12 but have still been testing as last month my lines were all over the place.

Mamainmaking1 · 10/06/2020 10:26

@peonyrose87 you are at similar stage to me I am just one day ahead of you but thinking I might leave the one for luck until tomorrow so it will be two days off after dtd 5 days in a row. I am sure that would still cover everything do you think? I am continuing to test to just be absolutely sure - my tests were down Mondays and yesterday but we're still going up and down within that time frame rather than going continuously down so will test today too and then I might leave it. We will be testing in around the same time - I am 2dpo according to app today.

motherofdinosau · 10/06/2020 12:36

@peonyrose87 i check for a few days after ovulation... Will prob do a couple more days to be on the safe side. Im not sure if to dtd tonight or tomorrow.

cd24x · 10/06/2020 13:08

Afternoon everyone. Been busy at work this morning so just catching up.

@Mamainmaking1 I feel ok about it now. When we got told by the venue this week that we'd need to postpone September, I cried. But after talking to OH and deciding to TTC, it's helped. I've got to go pick up my dress once the shop opens again and have just started talking to our suppliers again to change the date. I'm glad I've found this thread though as I thought I'd be the only one crazy enough trying to fit in TTC between our original and postponed dates! But I think these things happen for a reason, so maybe it was supposed to be this way round?

@sle0911 so a bit of a long story - our September 20 date was actually our original postponed date. We were due to get married last week! When we went into lockdown, our venue actually made it quite difficult to postpone. Originally they wanted to keep the £2k we had paid to them and make us pay another deposit to change dates. Then they backtracked on that and said we could change date and move original deposit to new date, however they put in a caveat that if June wedding was able to go ahead, they would keep the original deposit and make us pay new one for new date. It was a nightmare! But we decided to move to Sept 20 anyway. But now our original date has been and gone, they have been the ones to contact us and advise us to move our postponed Sept 20 date to another date next year. All deposits are being moved with it, but we now have to pay a little bit extra due to inflation. I don't think anyone really understood just how bad things would get when we went into lockdown which is why they're being a bit nicer now! I can imagine having to change everything for an overseas wedding has been quite difficult? We're putting the breaks on TTC at end of October for same reason, so that baby isn't too little (and so it gives me a couple of months to get back into my dress!)

@Fran2020 Flowers I hope this is your month!

@itsgood2talk Welcome! Smile

@HellloBambinos I haven't seen a hint of CM since I came off the pill. I'm hoping the same as you, that being sat on my bum all day means gravity isn't really doing much!

CD10 for me. We DTD yesterday and it was really strange to know we're not using any form of contraception in the nearly 7 years we've been together. Nothing else really going on though.

Smushty14 · 10/06/2020 14:32

Hi, I'm joining in at last. I'm 27 and TTC #1. I'm currently on CD12 of C1 and due to test 27th June.

I've come off the pill now so fingers crossed and baby dust to all!

VP91x · 10/06/2020 14:49

@Fran2020 I had that last month! About two days before I ovulated. I also read it was a good sign xx

VP91x · 10/06/2020 14:53

Welcome @Smushty14 good luck with your first month TTC! ❤️

HellloBambinos · 10/06/2020 15:20

@cd24x What a nightmare. Glad you've got it sorted though and how lovely would it be to have a little one at your wedding.

Welcome @Smushty14 Smile

Im on CD14 now of a 24-26 day cycle. According to Flo I'm now in the TWW but according to Ovia I still have another fertile day. I'm not convinced I've ovulated at all - hardly any EWCM and no positive OPK and now I've bloody run out. We've managed to DTD more or less every other day since my period finished but since I never got the positive we haven't progressed to every day (following smep). DH on late nights for the rest of the week so think we've done all we can do for this month Sad

Whilstwewait · 10/06/2020 16:10

Hey everyone

Sorry its hard to keep up to date with me only checking once a day but its doing my mental health so much good.

Welcome to everyone new. Hoping you all get your BFPs soon. To those who have cancelled weddings I feel for you. We got married last year and so much goes into it, you count down for so long and then for it to be pushed back must be devastating ,especially if you were planning to start a family after and don't want to delay. Hope you get your positives soon

I think it was a Dr Phil study on preseed. I just read someone elses post about it. Apparently it killed more sperm than the other lubes they tested so if not needed best to avoid. Although lots of success stories.

@Fran2020 aw i feel for u with the pregnancy announcement. Im dreading hearing anymore. I imagine 2 of my close friends may be trying for their 2nd and I know ill be devestated because i want it to be me. Im fed up of feeling like that. I want to feel pure happiness and excitement for people like i used to. It feels like it should be our turn now. Ive seen 2 announcements in the last week. One got married same day as me so that was hard and others have only been together since just before lockdown.

I think we had 45 mins to take it once he had done the sample. The place was 25 mins away .We had an appointment to drop it off for 9.30. We got there like 2 mins before because DH thought he knew were it was and he didn't so that caused a row. It was hard timing it so he gave himself enough time to finish under pressure but not too much that it was over the 45 mins.

Longest post because of one a day Grin

Xx

mrswilso · 10/06/2020 19:28

A wee question this evening...is anyone using Ovia app and tracking BBT/OPK? If so, how accurate would you say that Ovia's fertile window predictions are?

I've updated my calendar on Ovia tonight and it's pulled my fertility score from 7.5 to 10! I had slight left pelvic pains this afternoon in work and I think that's what's boosted it so much BUT I'm not 100% sure it was OV pain so I'm worried that if I've misinterpreted it as pelvic pain then I'll throw off the whole fertile window!

I realise as I type this that I said just a couple of days ago that this month I was just gonna chill out and go with the flow...it seems I lied 🤣

Can anyone help a crazy lady out??

peonyrose87 · 10/06/2020 19:30

@Mamainmaking1 I think two days off after five in a row should be fine!! We’ve just done five in a row too so I really need the rest today 😂😂 although my OH is keen to go again tonight 🙈 my tests have been super faint since last night but I’ll probably keep checking once a day for a few days. Glad I’ll have a testing buddy soon!

@motherofdinosau Good to know other people are testing for a few days after too!! Did you just do five in a row too? I’m probably going to wait until tomorrow to DTD again!

sle0911 · 10/06/2020 19:35

@cd24x argh how annoying, and the fact you've now had to postpone twice 😩 I'm glad it's sorted now though and fingers crossed next sept you'll have a little baby attending the wedding too 🤞🏼, it hasn't been stressful at all! I have a wedding planner over there and everything has literally been swapped straight over to the new date, no hassle at all which has made the whole thing much more less stressful! Just hoping I can be pre occupied for the next 9 months to make things go a bit faster as it feels like so long away! Xx

1992EM · 10/06/2020 20:58

So sorry to hear about weddings being cancelled . Must have been devastating. Hopefully you will have a lovely wee bundle of joy with you at your wedding. I feel totally unprepared. I don't test or use any apps . The only thing I have been doing is taking pregnecare for about 2 months . We plan to dtd from today onwards, today is cd9 of what normally is a 30 day cycle . I have had an ear infection for 2 weeks so hoping we haven't missed our chance and antibiotics don't have an impact. What is the best ovulation tests to buy ? If we aren't lucky this month I think this will be out next step.

Jonsey1987 · 10/06/2020 21:31

@Fran2020 Im totally sharing the jealous of everyone else being pregnant. I should be more than 20 weeks by now and my periods aren't even back to normal-ish. I was etopic at about 7weeks. Ridiculous!! Stress isn't good but I can't 'drop it' I feel I shouldn't feel like this as there are bigger problems going on. We have our health, jobs, a roof over our head...... This 2 week wait is killing me and to be honest if I'm not pregnant this cycle I don't think I could take seen others getting bfp (weirdly I'd be happy for them) but I'm taking it really personally now! Just stuck in a vicious circle. To top it off when I finally get a bfp I think I'll be a wreck thinking miscarriage again....
To everyone who had weddings booked I'm gutted for you - I got married in Cyprus and it was perfect. I'm sure you'll get your perfect days. X x

Chlo2701 · 10/06/2020 21:37

@1992EM I use the Clearblue digital, they're so easy but a bit pricey x

DancingDog · 10/06/2020 21:41

Can I join? TTC #1, cycle 16, I’m 32 (33 next month) and due AF on 27/6.

Hopeful for this month, never even had the opportunity to test as AF always shows up!

Trying to decide when we visit the docs to get tested, but putting it off and hoping for the best.
