@Piccalily19 Congratulations!! 👶🏼💐

@unluckyducky I'm glad I'm not the only one! Definitely going to look into SW tonight, never tried before but I am tempted by the freedom it allows.. seems like we need a June bus SW group 🤣

watermelonwizard · 03/06/2020 14:56

Congratulations @Piccalily19 !!! Great news.

@Cocoblue22 I’m the same, I think we all are fucking mental on this thread lol! If I have a zoom meeting with work sometimes I come off and think OMG I didn’t think about babies for half hour. That was a nice break 🤣 not good!!! But glad I have you ladies to share the madness with.

Newbie0818 · 03/06/2020 15:01

Yay @Piccalily19 congrats!

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/06/2020 15:01

Congrats @Piccalily19 how exciting! You must let us know how you to plan to tell your partner! Wishing you all the best 🤗

Juno231 · 03/06/2020 15:02

@Cocoblue22 I say don't worry about the travel/baby part! You can't plan for this stuff, and things always sort themselves out. I was freaking out at the start of the year about a wedding in India I've got scheduled in November. First I was worried I could have a newborn by then - then that turned to I'd be highly pregnant so let's not book flights just yet - then it became a worry that if we're still TTC there's the zika aspect to contend with. Now it's probably not happening anyway due to corona so what was the point in worrying and planning and assuming XYZ would happen.

So my advice is put it out of your head and what will be, will be!

Also if you're breastfeeding the baby should be fine - depends on how worried a FTM you'll be! Was this trip going to be in Europe btw? Cause then you'd argue that the risks are no worse in Spain than you strolling down the street in London - and the healthcare is equivalent as well!

Cocoblue22 · 03/06/2020 15:02

Just read a think online about only needing 200 extra calories in last three months of pregnancy and gives ideas of a handful of mixed unsalted nuts or a banana shake or bowl of porridge.....nah.....much rather a cherry bakewell or some custard creams haha!! X

Cocoblue22 · 03/06/2020 15:06

@Juno231 I wouldn’t be breastfeeding I don’t think. And yeah only to Mallorca so nowhere to far or tropical. Does FTM mean first time mum? I already have a DS who's 2 but we didn’t go abroad with him until he was over one year old. I guess we could ask that question at a later date x

Minster2012 · 03/06/2020 15:08

@Cocoblue22 completely agree with others. Don’t worry about the travel. A baby needs no injections to travel, we got told by our midwives they could travel from 2 weeks. Injection wise you have one set of injections 4 weeks apart that if you need to postpone the second set (we did) then the first has to be repeated which isn’t ideal but shit happens. We took DS away with us at 11 weeks old to Majorca with my parents. All of our friends said travel when they are young & portable (& if they /you aren’t sleeping then you might as well be not sleeping in some place hot!) we also went away when he was 7 months & then 10 months. We haven’t this year. Just do whatever plans you had, life adapts!

lucyrp · 03/06/2020 15:09

@Cocoblue22 I'm in the same situation! Was due to get married In Cyprus this August so TTC wasn't going to start till after then, weddings now been postponed until next August and instead of waiting another whole year we're seeing how it goes, gonna give myself this cycle and possibly one more then will give up till afterwards. Not sure the proper advice about immunisations but I think I'd feel happier taking a baby that's had the full set just for my piece of mind really, I took my daughter to Lanzarote when she was 5 months and was a great age!

Piccalily19 · 03/06/2020 15:13

Thank you so much ladies, I’m in such shock lol!
I think I’ll just say guess what and show him the test, I’ve never been good for dramatic reveals and he’ll probably need a sit down bless him 🙈
@Catherinettc I think I’m around 15dpo, AF was due yesterday and I have quite short cycles!
@Cocoblue22 my main reason for the shock is this is the first month! I’ve always had horrific periods and convinced myself Id got some condition that would cause me issues.
@Runnergirl1 oh Christ id not even thought about that! If you need a worry sister let me know as I’m queen of worrying!
@blodyn91 I afraid I don’t no 😞 unless our relaxed it’ll take ages see what happens approach did the classic “it’ll happen when you stop trying” thing

Thank you all so much, fingers crossed nothing goes wrong. Sending lots of luck to anyone waiting to test and hugs to those who didn’t get their result this month xxxx

sle0911 · 03/06/2020 15:18

Massive congratulations @Piccalily19 🎉🎉

TTCgee · 03/06/2020 15:23

@Piccalily19 yaaay congratulations! Love seeing the BFPs!! Gives me hope 🥰🙏🏼 was just about to see if you had any special tips but just seen you've already covered that! Maybe next time I need to just chill and see what happens! I don't honestly know if I can give up the obsessive tracking tho , feels like such a huge part of my life 😂😂

@Newbie0818 ahh yeah of course! I'd totally forgotten they'd be in full PPE even for minor visits - I'll not be looking forward to that. I hate jabs at the best of times! But thanks will look forward to hearing your results and hope they all come back good!

@Juno231 I totally agree! We've always said if we're lucky enough to get pregnant and have a baby next year we will be whisking it away somewhere sunny and lovely! We also have abroad weddings booked now that have been moved from this year to next but I just think you can't put your life on hold for other people!!

TTCgee · 03/06/2020 15:24

@Minster2012 oooh amazing! How much you planning on necking back each day? I need to get on this band wagon next month! Where did you order from?

Franklydear · 03/06/2020 15:31

@Piccalily19 congrats!!!
@Cocoblue22, I am Spanish so took my baby as soon as I could get there, baby doesn’t need injections, you’ll find formula in pharmacies not in shops and health care for tiny children is even better than ours, you’ll be fine.
Cd19 here, so I guess about 7 dpo, nothing much symptoms wise, but I guess I’ve been more busy with lots of test and medical appointments, so had other things in my mind...
On the good news, my Covid test came back negative, was only taken to eliminate it completely, but still made me sweat a bit.

SarahTTC2020 · 03/06/2020 15:50

Yay @Piccalily19 amazing news!!! Love seeing the bfps here too!

Yes please just keep this group going, I can't keep up with anything else 🤣

Newbie0818 · 03/06/2020 16:11

Does anyone else really look forward to their daily cervix feel? Or has lockdown just made me a saddo? 🤣🤣

SarahTTC2020 · 03/06/2020 16:13

@newbie0818 no 🤣 should I be giving it a daily poke?! Dont think I've ever tried to feel it before, I only have little fingers haha
When I had a smear test she said I had a tilted cervix whatever that means...

SmileyT · 03/06/2020 16:25

@Juno231 yeah it's a challenge with names I just think if I had kids and they all had the same name and I was the odd one out I would hate it 😭

@LV1987 I know everyone is different but my lh tests fluctuate between high and low until I reach my peak they don't really slowly increase so I wouldn't worry, I also don't hold before testing in the afternoon and it still catches my peak.

@Sydgal22 I take the day after peak as ovulation but it's not an exact science without a test, I feel like I feel mine xx

Congrats @Piccalily19 🥳

@Minster2012 yay to grapefruit juice, get ready to be flinging EWCM at DH 🤪😂😂

DB20 · 03/06/2020 16:32

Ladies who use OPKs what's your opinions on this please? It's my first cycle using them. I'm on CD23 and I thought I'd ovulated last week on CD17 so I think I'm 6dpo.
I had highs and a peak test then dropped back low, my bbt has gone up and stayed up and I had EWCM at the right time and some pinching on my lower right hand side. My last two days OPKs were so faint I was thinking I'd stop after today and not waste anymore as it seemed obvious I'd ovulated. Both my apps say AF due on the 11th which would be a 30 day cycle but it's not unusual for me to have up to 38 days. I've just done today's OPK and it's gone quite dark again.
I don't know what to think? I am quite dehydrated today as I've been really busy could it be that? I was pretty relaxed thinking we'd done all we could now this month and was just trying to keep myself busy during tww. Has anyone else had this? Should I carry on doing them for longer?

Catherinettc · 03/06/2020 16:33

Feel like this is the longest day in history lol

Af due today and still not a hint of arriving 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Bfn today tho so not much hope. 1st time trying to keep an eye on things and wondering now if I have my days all mixed up lol

blodyn91 · 03/06/2020 16:46

@DB20 I would just ignore it, but maybe DTD anyway 🙈
@watermelonwizard just had 2hrs of calling customers and feel so good when times go by not thinking about symptoms! Covid makes it worse, I would be so busy if I didn't have to work from home
@Piccalily19 I think you are right, trying my best not to over worry- but its so addictive!

Mococo1 · 03/06/2020 16:46

@db20 I'd say going by your graph/OPKs you ovulated on CD15-16 as that matches with your graph and the fact that your temp has stayed high is very promising..I have heard that you can get positive opks if you're pregnant as well but you would be testing positive on HCG then too...I would just ride it out for a few more days- if you're worried about covering just have regular sex (2-3rimes a week) and even if it is another peak you should catch x

SmileyT · 03/06/2020 16:48

@DB20 I'd agree with the other girls looks like a fluctuation but could DTD just to be sure, it can pick up hcg so could be that 🤞 or before AF I think you get another surge as my lh tests increase a bit beforehand but I know I'm not ovulating x
