flow not flown 😂 @DKDK123*
Oh and welcome newbies!
@Missgoldilocks you might remember me from the other thread 👋🏾

Lucie91 · 02/06/2020 22:44

Thank you ladies Smile Loving the descriptions - feel like I know you all already haha!

I’m 28, 5ft9, size 10/12 (definitely more of a 12 these days ha), shoulder-length dark hair. I’ve been with my fiancé for 6 years and we were due to be getting married this month but, thanks to covid, we’ve postponed until September. Not sure if the wedding we’ve planned will be able to go ahead but the thought of putting of TTC any longer was not doing much for my emotions ha! So we’re going to throw caution to the wind* and hope for the best!

  • Definitely pretending to be laid-back. Been tracking my ovulation for the last 6 months and have become slightly obsessive. Please don’t judge haha!
Charlotte2020 · 02/06/2020 22:48

Hi all! Looking for advice- I had my Mirena coil out early May, I did a test 2 weeks after ovulating and got a BFN. Yet my AF hasn't arrived yet. Still had the cramps though. Anyone else experienced this? I don't know if my body's just gone a bit messed up after having the coil out?!

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/06/2020 22:52

We're all obsessive here @Lucie91 so you're in good company! Sorry to hear about your wedding, hopefully sept happens for you!

Lucie91 · 02/06/2020 22:56

@notyetamumbuttrying Oh good to hear that, haha! Thank you, keeping my fingers crossed!

HattieHB · 02/06/2020 23:14

Hi all, I’ve not posted in a while. My partner and I were due to get married in October but with Covid-19 we decided to postpone for next year. Now we’re thinking about trying. I Feel nervous because it’s not how I thought it would be? I know it may sound old fashioned but I always imagined being married first. I also worry about what people will say- being hasty, not married why didn’t you wait.. what If I put on lots of weight- I’m 5.2 and 10 1/2- and then won’t lose it to fit in my dress! I probably sound irrational. But then all that aside trying for a baby is really exciting and I don’t want to wait another 18 months ...Confused anyone else in a similar situation??

Lucie91 · 02/06/2020 23:23

@HattieHB I feel like I can relate! I’ve always been quite traditional about wanting to get married first but, after already postponing the wedding for 3 months, I feel like the thought of putting off TTC is more upsetting to me than postponing the wedding. Would you consider maybe getting legally married this year if you feel that way? We’re planning to do that if we can’t have our “big day” in September, but it’s all personal choice and there’s obviously no right way of doing things Smile

Sydgal22 · 03/06/2020 02:12

Oh my goodness guys, you all kicked off while I’ve been asleep and at boot camp this morn 😂 soo much to catch up on!

@OnNaturesCourse congrats on your BFP! Soo exciting!

So many gamer girls too! My partner spends no joke 8 hours a day playing WOW, it drives me absolutely up the wall. He gave it up for two years and has picked it back up in lockdown, will become an issue if he doesn’t cut back! I can’t get my head around gaming at all 😭

So sorry for all of you who have had to cancel your weddings :/ I’m also waiting on a ring and have told him it has to happen before I pop one out so hopefully soon 😂

Loving learning what everyone looks like! And totally with you on how hard the weight loss thing is, but I feel like we woman are very hard on ourselves, our bodies do amazing things and we should be so proud!! Also with the c sections, my mom can’t give bird naturally and had four 😳 I’ve a very diff body type to her tho so fingers crossed I won’t need one! But also don’t mind really as long as I get a happy healthy bub 😊

Day four flashing smiley for me, here’s to hoping my peak is tomorrow!!

Hope you’re all sleeping well, looking forward to more chats!

LittleRa · 03/06/2020 04:26

Good (early) morning all, just been up for a wee and AF is due today (14dpo) so I tested... BFN ☹️ I wasn’t holding out much hope as I’ve had no symptoms. No AF yet either. It’s my first month off the pill so cycles might be off.

@DKDK123 What I did want to ask was is anyone else in the greedy fat fuckers club or is it just me?

🙋‍♀️ Everyone eats constantly at work so it's impossible 😂
I was size 18-20 when we conceived DD so don't panic too much about not being able to conceive though ❤️

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 03/06/2020 06:40

Hi @HattieHB! I also worry about what people will say- being hasty, not married why didn’t you wait

People will find something to say whenever you start trying. You could wait until your wedding and as soon as the honeymoon is over people would be saying "ooh you're leaving it a bit late aren't you?".

I had DD at 19 so people had plenty to say. It's just water off a duck's back; if I wouldn't invite them to watch the conception I'm not going to pay them any attention when they're making comments 😬😁

Cocoblue22 · 03/06/2020 06:41

@lucyrpi don’t think I could last more than three days without washing My hair it would look awful! X

@DKDK123 I am a WW member too although just cancelled as my pass expired and I haven’t been accessing the online meetings or following the plan. The won’t weigh you when your PG anyways so last time I just stopped and rejoined after having ds. When I do it properly it deffo works but once I’ve gone off plan that’s it! Have to be ready to do it properly and I don’t feel in that place atm plus I had same issue with shopping. I get hello fresh and try to order the lower calorie meals off that mostly too x

SmileyT · 03/06/2020 06:41

@Minster2012 glad you managed to batter his sausage and sometimes you do need a bit of lube, maybe that means you have ovulated 🤔

@Lucie91 I'm a data queen so don't worry anything goes in TTC I think we all agree that once you decide to officially try it's like a switch goes and your like 'erm I need to be pregnant like yesterday' 🤪

@Charlotte2020 👋 did you track ovulation this month? Is it possible you ovulated later than you thought as your hormones were returning to normal? xx

@Sydgal22 yes to a peak soon, are you sticking to one test a day?

@notyetamumbuttrying hope work keeps you busy until the weekend, mine is also mental at the moment but more because half my team are out but it's nice to keep my mind occupied during the day 🙌🏾

@LittleRa sorry it was a BFN but you're not out until AF arrives and ovulation May have been delayed 1st month off the pill 🤞

Sending baby dust to all those testing in the next few days;

Holy shitballs, took me a whole hour to catch up.

There's no way I can remember who said what, but:

On description: 5'9, brunette with blonde balayage (but let's face it, there is a decent amount of grey in there to cover up these days too), size 8, medium sized fake boobies. I realise this makes me sound like a barbie, but other than the boobs and occasional hair colour I am all natural and a bit boring tbh 🤷🏼‍♀️ #mumlife

On birth: told at my very first obstetric apt with first baby that natural birth was never going to be an option for me. I criiied so much (my mum was a bit of a hippy and had three babies at home in the 80's, no pain relief, so I always thought I'd go al naturale too). So 2x C sections for me so far, and really truly not as bad as some make them out to be. Theatre was fine, recovery was fine, scar is fine!

On stretch marks: so great that ladies here love them 💗 I was never pregnant enough to get any, and would honestly have given anything to exchange very premature babies with stretch marks! Would love some battle scars 😍

On size of kids: I'm going to have to google kilos vs pounds... ok my 33 weeker was 4ib 13oz and the 30 weeker was 2ib 13oz (which we were so happy about because the estimate was for less than 2ib 2oz). OH is 6'4, my dad and brother are 6'4, and my sis is even 6'2! So I know my two boys are going to be taller than me (and I'm pretty tall) by the time they're 10!!

On battered sausages: 👍🏼😍 all up in my mouth

On gaming: 👎🏼👎🏼😝

Cocoblue22 · 03/06/2020 06:51

@HattieHB for a start don’t worry about what people think as long as you two are happy who cares and people will more likely be gushing over your little bundle on the day. All I would say is regarding your dress and losing the weight....I lost my baby weight after about a year (lots of women are quicker but I had a long recovery post birth which I was not expecting as births rarely go as expected or planned) but my body is definitely a different shape now compared to before and a lot of my friends say the same. Pregnancy does change your body. So consider the style of your dress etc. So all I would say is maybe be prepared to be flexible regarding your dress it could need alterations or even a new dress depending what happens. But if that’s worst case scenario I don’t think that’s worth waiting for (in my opinion). Also would you continue to try if it meant you were PG at your wedding? And also think about who can help with your baby on your big day while you’re having photos etc I’m sure you will have loads of people more than happy to help. It may effect things like honey moon too if baby is very young so just talk everything through with OH and decide what you’re happy with (lots of people have family moons or postpone their honeymoon until the year after- by then baby would be a bit older and maybe could stay a few days with grandparents etc) Your wedding will be special no matter what so just go with what you’re happy with x

Cocoblue22 · 03/06/2020 06:55

@LittleRa that’s disappointing but still time yet and if not it might be coz of pill and next cycle will work so don’t be too disheartened x

@unluckyducky I second that deffo get the test at about 36/37 weeks it cost like £40 and put my mind at rest. I also second the cannula worst bit that I have a fear of those beasts 🤮 x

lucyrp · 03/06/2020 06:58

Morning 🤪 9dpo here and just had a small amount of brown spotting when I went for my first wee this morning 🤔 the days seem to be dragging so much now, why can't it be next week already 😂

@WildButterfly aw how old is your daughter now ? I am scared of a natural birth but knowing i can do it as I've done it before I think is helping me not worry about that side so much its the unknown of a c section which has me shaking!😬😫

@Clairey844 I am 9dpo at the moment!

@Minster2012 omg a postcard from your egg😂😂that made me giggle

@Lucie91 no one is judging you here don't worry. Anyone that says they're laid back or not tracking definitely turns into a crazy person sooner or later 😂 this cycle 10 I think for us TTC and we weren't tracking or anything just thinking it would happen and then last cycle I had a CP so now I've turned into a crazy woman tracking and doing everything I can!

Anyone talking about washing hair @KateColx how do you manage once a week ?? I've been training my hair but only got to washing twice a week can't get to once 😫 but also I did ysed to wash my natural hair every single day and never blow dried it or anything and then it would get greasy in the same day so have to wash it the next but if you blow dry and style your hair it should last 2-3 days at the least!

@DontGoJasonWaterfalls I had DS at 17 and the funny thing is when I got pregnant I felt like everyone was going to be judging me that was the part I wish I could tell myself not to worry about what everyone else thought. I didn't show my bump off infact I came off social media altogether and didn't see any of my friends for 6 months for fear of what everyone would say. This time I will be posting pictures everywhere for everyone to see no matter what they think 😂🙈

Runnergirl1 · 03/06/2020 06:58

@Cocoblue22. No I have to be honest the first one wasn’t with a frer x

lucyrp · 03/06/2020 07:00

@HattieHB regarding losing the weight if you're thinking of breast feeding you may lose the weight very quickly. My friend who's just had her little boy about 2 weeks ago now weighs at least half a stone lighter than she did before pregnancy because of the breast feeding 😱🤷🏼‍♀️

Skip86 · 03/06/2020 07:04

Oh and on weddings: I was pregnant at mine! I was only 8 weeks so not showing and didnt have to alter the dress or anything so can't offer advice there. But we also hadn't told anyone so imagine hiding not drinking alcohol at your own wedding?!! I asked the bar staff to swap out the champers for non alcoholic version whenever I asked for a drink! But to be honest it didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would, not being able to drink. I had an amazing time still and was just happy to be pregnant.
Also, we occasionally joke about it being a shotgun wedding etc etc, but even though I worried as some of the girls on here have, really no one in our life has ever seriously given two shits about us getting preg before getting married 💕💕

J0DI3 · 03/06/2020 07:07

@Charlotte2020 my first period after having my mirena removed was 4 days late. My friend was two weeks late. So I do think it varies for each person. I must warn you that the doctors don’t prepare you for how heavy it can be so don’t panic if you’re heavy 😊

Newbie0818 · 03/06/2020 07:12

@J0D13 fingers crossed! Testing can happen 10-15 days after ov, I’m so used to waiting so long for everything my tww actually flies by in comparison 🤣

lucyrp · 03/06/2020 07:14

Currently just shitting myself as my fermometer app has the cheek to tell me I may have literal insufficiency which means it will be difficult for me to carry a baby ?! Wtf
