@Annny27 sorry 😞 i totally understand the need to stay off mn for a bit.
Sometimes the good and bad news here add to our own difficulties and it can be a little overwhelming. You have always been here and supportive for all of us so I hope you can take a step back and have this month to focus on yourself. Sending lots of love and hugs Anny x ❤

@Fizzl cramping might be the start of AF... honestly resetting and starting a new cycle might be good anyway... leave the frustration of not knowing behind x
Thanks for letting me know about general anaesthetic. I am slowly getting used to the idea :)

ELM7 · 21/05/2020 09:01

@Annny27 and @Leok83 So sorry AF has come for both of you.

@Annny27 I completely understand as my babies would of officially been due Tues just gone and I always thought I would be pregnant again before their due date.

Really does seem to of been a strange month for so many of us.

Annny27 · 21/05/2020 11:08

thanks ladies 💗 its so good to be able to share our sorrows and joys on here as I don't like to talk to people in real life about it as I feel like they feel sorry for me and I hate that!

Thanks ladies for kind words @MilsCookie @scrumdiddly123 @SunnySideUp2020 @fizzl @Leok83 @ELM7 @Ejb86

So I called my doctor again (previously they said I had to wait 2 years!!) But I spoke to a different one who said he would contact the fertility clinic for me :D he said they may make me wait 6 months more as that will be 6 months after a pregnancy but I am glad that things are getting rolling

Also he said my thyroid was absolutely fine and has been tested recently which was a concern of mine so thats one thing I am more relaxed about :D

(As you can see my mums net break is going really well 🤣🤣🤣)

That's good news @Annny27. One less thing to have on your list of worries.

ELM7 · 21/05/2020 13:12

@Annny27 ahh glad the Drs are going to contact them so at least you will be on their radar even if they do wait rather than being referred in 6mths time and then having to wait for appointments.

SunnySideUp2020 · 21/05/2020 13:40

Great news @Annny27
Having the doctors being proactive or at least understanding you is really helpful!
And good thyroid is one thing on your side!

scrumdiddly123 · 21/05/2020 14:24

@Annny27 that’s great news that they’ll get the ball rolling with the fertility clinic! Fingers crossed you won’t need it but it’s reassuring to know you have that in the pipeline.

Well after so long of having negative opks They’re now blazing! So not sure whether to class today as OV day or tomorrow?
Such a relief to finally see a positive although not sure I can face DTD any more 🤣 DH has had enough too! We did last night and might persuade him to tonight as well and that’ll be it!

@Annny27 that's great news! Sometimes it pays to be persistent with them and sometimes it does take a different gp to have a different perspective and to see things differently! Out of interest do you know what your thyroid levels were? Mine were 2.5 which the gp said is right in the middle of 'normal' but when I've looked into this fertility clinics like to see it no higher than 2.5 when ttc and in some countries 2.5 is the cut off for medication! Over here I think it's around 5 before they usually medicate.

Hopefully you feel better by being proactive and getting the ball rolling with things! Like others have said hopefully it won't come to it but at least things are progressing for you now.

@scrumdiddly123 that's definitely positive! It's a sorry state of affairs when ttc becomes a chore isn't it 😂

Leok83 · 21/05/2020 21:03

@scrumdiddly123 I’d definitely take this mornings one as your peak so that would be tomorrow as 1DPO. Persistence has definitely paid off..and I know how you feel about DTD, anytime my ov is delayed we are both out of steam by the time it actually comes around😄

@Annny27 that’s great about fertility clinic. 2 years was just ridiculous. And also great your thyroid is normal!

@Fizzl I’ve had my thyroid checked and if TSH is 3.15, the reference range on mine says 0.27-4.2 but if you are right I could need medication. Going to call the GP tomorrow to follow up on referring me for definite now..was sitting on fence a bit until I saw that!

@ELM7 thank you. How are you doing? Any sign of ovulation for you yet?

Fizzl · 21/05/2020 22:07

@Leok83 I'd definitely check it out with the gp. They will probably dismiss it because it is within 'normal' limits but have a quick search on google and you should see what I mean. I can picture the biggest eye roll you will get from the doctor as soon as you mention google or mumsnet so maybe try and dodge that and just say you've done some research 😂

Leok83 · 21/05/2020 22:36

@Fizzl ya I’ve looked it up and looks like I should def be looking into this more. Thanks for the head up! Don’t know why they don’t just treat at 2.5 in women TTC!!

Annny27 · 21/05/2020 22:50

Evening :)

@fizzl I have no idea what my thyroid levels are sorry (and actually I am glad I don't know specific numbers and the doctor just said normal haha) otherwise I would be obsessing over that too 🤣🤣

@Ejb86 is AF staying away so far?

@ELM7 yes I am glad:D have you had any tests or not yet?

@SunnySideUp2020 yep it feels proactive now :D any symptoms yet? Must be close to testing now

@scrumdiddly123 oh wow more peak readings! Haha after 25+ days I don't blame you on the dtd fatigue 🤣

@Leok83 I am cd2 today so we might be near enough cycle buddies this month as well. Who knows when my body will decide to ovulate- could be cd10 could be cd24 🙈🤣

SunnySideUp2020 · 22/05/2020 05:54

@Annny27 bfn this morning 10 dpo

Did the @fizzl logic so now we wait for AF.

Tbh i know am not pregnant 🙄

Ejb86 · 22/05/2020 07:16

@Annny27 so far so good! Hopefully she will stay away for a while yet.

ELM7 · 22/05/2020 09:29

@Leok83 doing ok thank you. Ovulation due in the next couple of days and OPKs are getting darker so that’s good.

@Annny27 - no I haven’t had any tests yet. Should contact Drs really but also know the first thing they will say is I need to loose weight which I’m trying to do although hasn’t been going so well since lockdown. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Took eight months from coming off the pill to conceiving last time and so kinda giving myself similar timescales.

Hope everyone is doing ok. We’ve made it through another week and I’m very glad that it’s a bank holiday weekend.

Fizzl · 22/05/2020 10:02

@Leok83 I'm not sure why either. I think because doctors don't particularly specialise in fertility they just go with the 'normal' limits.

@Annny27 that's a fair point! I must admit I did obsessively google about mine and planted another worry seed in my mind.

@SunnySideUp2020 ah sorry it was a bfn. I think this month seems to be a dud for a lot us sadly 😒.

My opk's have reached the dizzy heights of 0.31 today! So it's gradually creeping up... but still nowhere near being positive 🙄

@ELM7 Im so glad it's bank holiday weekend. I'm going to finish work early today and just chill. Hoping the sun comes back out. Planning to treat myself to a few glasses of wine and maybe even a gin too. I'm kind of in the 'sod it' mindset now!

scrumdiddly123 · 22/05/2020 10:05

Morning all!
Sorry it was negative @SunnySideUp2020, when would you be expecting AF?
@Ejb86 hope AF stays away a while yet, can’t believe how strange this month has been for a lot of us!
How are you @Fizzl? Any sign of anything happening for you?
I’ve had another peak opk this morning, so 3 days in a row now! CD27 today and going by this and my temps I still haven’t ovulated so worried about how late it is and whether I’ll have a normal LP! There’s nothing easy about this TTC lark 😒

Catching up - ttc after miscarriage part 3
Leok83 · 22/05/2020 11:41

@Annny27 let’s hope these are normal cycles for us both and end in a BFP!

@SunnySideUp2020 sorry it’s a BFN..you are not out yet but I definitely think it’s easier to gear up for AF after it.

@Fizzl I rang the GP today and I’m going in for bloods Monday and she’s referring me to gynae now to start and if gynae think there’s a need they’ll refer me to fertility. I asked her about TSH and she said it’s likely I’ll need to go on medication for it but they need to check thyroid antibodies first. I had the last bloods done in July last year before officially TTC so it prob didn’t flag up as important then for that reason. Thank you for highlighting this for me!

Leok83 · 22/05/2020 11:47

@scrumdiddly123 that’s so frustrating. It’s like your body is trying to do something but the egg won’t release. Don’t lose hope yet though at least your LH is trying and it might drop soon!

@Ejb86 how many DPO are you now?

Ejb86 · 22/05/2020 12:07

@leok83 I am 2dpo on cd26. At the start of what I hope is a long lp, or at least one that's longer than 5 days! We dtd every other day in fertile window, so I'm hopeful we have a good chance. We would have done more but hubby can't finish if we do more than that.

Fizzl · 22/05/2020 21:52

@scrumdiddly123 how strange you've had peak readings for 3 days! Keep an eye on your temps - hopefully today is the day for you! CD29 for me and still nothing - no ovulation or AF 🤷🏼‍♀️. Hopefully your luteal phase won't change, I'd guess if you ovulate late you'll just have a longer cycle but I don't know for sure.

@Leok83 im pleased your gp took your seriously and has referred you! It's interesting that she thinks you need medication and hasn't just dismissed it. I plan to mention it to my gp at some point as I do have some symptoms of an under active thyroid I've just never thought much of it before (I'm always cold, tired short luteal phase etc). I darent go back to them yet as they've clearly told me to give it 6 months and I think I'll probably just annoy them if I keep going back and they'll think I'm just finding symptoms which fit 🙄.

Hope everyone else is doing ok 💐

scrumdiddly123 · 22/05/2020 22:50

@Fizzl yeah it’s real strange for me, will usually have one day of peak and then ov! My line has been super dark today and had loads of ovulation pain this evening so I feel like today’s been the day and hopefully my temp will go up tomorrow! 🤞🏻
How frustrating for you, hopefully something changes soon. Either you ov or AF comes so you can crack on with the next cycle!

Ejb86 · 23/05/2020 07:07

I made it through cd26 with no AF! If I'm not pregnant at least my cycles are getting longer, which is a massive positive.

So today is cd27, 3dpo. Hoping that she stays away.
