Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

Ha ha we need a support group. Really glad it's not just me, I always feel a bit foolish afterwards but it doesn't stop me the next time. Unfortunately the little voice in my head reminds me about not spotting I was pregnant with DS2 til 7 or 8 weeks 😬

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 20:42

@Posy1 oh it was def me I’m a total lunatic 🤪 it’s horrible because you know what it is but can’t stop being irrational/emotional/angry! I take b6 which does help a bit but I’m still bonkers the week before af it’s grim 😞

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 20:44

@Snebblesmamma and @Sleeeeeepy I did buy cheap ones but they have been delayed until Friday!! So now I’ve wasted x2 cb digi 😭 have x2 frer coming tomorrow but I’m dreading using them up now too! Pretty sure af is coming I feel like a psychopath 😱

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 20:47

Welcome @Dipsy77 of course you can. Wow sounds like you are throwing everything at it 👍 what is an Ava bracelet? Sorry about your mc that’s really sad 😞 hopefully this is your cycle

Posy1 · 01/06/2020 20:52

@loladoodle.....its really shit isn't it! I get anxious and emotional about stupid things. It's like I'm a different person. My OH always says 'but you know it's just the pmt', but it doesn't stop me feeling it. It was really, really bad when I was in my mid 20s and improved slightly the last few years, but this month was crazy again.
I must look into B6. It's good you find it helps slightly. I take evening primrose oil until ovulation, but I don't think it makes a difference.

Sleeeeeepy · 01/06/2020 20:55

Do I need to buy femometer test strips or are the reeeelly cheap ones any good? Help me save money so I can buy more FRERs 😂

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 20:56

@posy1 I’ve used evening primrose in the past for it But I do think the b6 is much better. You need to take a b complex as well or b12 with b6. I take 100mg b6 and then a b complex as well. I find it helps with fatigue as well as I am knackered the week before also- probably all my moodiness taking it out of me 🤪 😴 it supposed to balance hormones so is good for Ttc as well.

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 20:58

@Sleeeeeepy i am so far not tracking ovulation (I’m crazy enough without doing that) but previously I used cheap strips and they worked grand.

Posy1 · 01/06/2020 21:00

@Sleeeeeepy I got a bfp on CD 11/12 with daughter using the internet cheapies. That was over 3 years ago though, so they might not be as sensitive anymore. Anyone else get an early positive with internet cheapies?

Posy1 · 01/06/2020 21:01

@Sleeeeeepy sorry just realised you were talking about ovulation strips not pregnancy test strips.

claireb707 · 01/06/2020 21:05

@Lynnysong I'd say that opk was negative tbh.
I'm dong cheapy opks as well as cb digital ones and I got a flashing smiley on Saturday and then solid smiley this morning. I've never been as successful or clear with the cheapies so use the femometer app. These are the last 2 cycles

I also have an Ava, been using it since November and it seems fairly accurate though it only says I am entering fertile window today whereas I actually think I entered it on Saturday

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 21:06

@posy1 I used so so many cheap preg test strips when Ttc ds... but after 3 years I kind of lost hope so stopped testing early. I waited until af was a day late and got bfp on a Superdrug test (which are meant to be one of the most sensitive) and confirmed after with a cb digi. I can’t even bear to think how much £ I wasted over that 3 year period on all sorts of tests it’s frightening 😱 poas addiction for sure! 🥺

MrsTtobe · 01/06/2020 21:13

@Loladoodle nooooo I told you, step away from the CB digital. 🙈
I don't know how you girls do it. I just literally can't face negative pg tests! I go out of my way to avoid doing them until I'm 1000% 😂😂

Posy1 · 01/06/2020 21:15

@loladoodle I was the same trying for my daughter. Every month from 11 dpo. Even when I got a bfp I continued to test for about a week. Blush.

It's why I'm wary about starting the CB ovulation monitor. I know I'll get addicted, but I prob don't really need it as I usually ovulate around day 11/12 and can tell when it's happening as I get ovulation pains and I temp. A bit of a control freak really.

Posy1 · 01/06/2020 21:22

@Loladoodle how long have you been trying this time? Is it just your ds you have?

@MrsTtobe its funny isn't it. I would much rather get a warning before my AF arrives. I think a few negative pregnancy tests and my hopes dwindle and then AFs arrival is easier. So many people would rather just wait though.

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 21:29

@MrsTtobe I can’t help myself sorry! 😬 zero willpower when have tests in the house.

Posy1 I have two ds but this is first time Ttc with new partner he doesn’t have any children of his own. Previously took 3 years to conceive due to ex H fertility issues so I am hoping that apart from my age that all else is in check this time!

Loladoodle · 01/06/2020 21:30

1st cycle actively trying as last cycle I had just came off the pill and we didn’t really Ttc as such.

Bellabubble · 01/06/2020 22:40

@Dipsy77 I’m doing coq10 and calc fluor this month along with opks and bbt! We tried smep last month but found it too stressful trying to ‘time’ it 😂 - so I’m tracking quietly now and will instigating dtd with oh but will nit let him know it’s near my peak. It really played on oh mind last time and I read an article saying how the stress can block the hormones you need for successful conception - so I decided to play it down for oh this month! Fingers crossed it works this time - we’re on 4th cycle after a mmc in Feb x

musiceverywhere · 01/06/2020 23:02

Evening all. Well, after the bright red blood earlier which happened once, came some brown blood. And now nothing. But definitely not feeling as crampy as I was and generally feeling 'meh' and PMS-sy Did 2 x FRER today total BFN at 9DPO so suspect we're done for this month. Will do one tomorrow with FMU then wait for AF.... which I am NOT looking forward to at all- honestly it may be bad enough that I just have to get another Mirena put straight back in 😕

lydiangel83 · 02/06/2020 02:51

@musiceverywhere any chance it could be implantation bleeding!? I had red and brown blood for 6 days before getting BFP! Also I think 9DPO is quite early to test as well? Keeping fingers crossed for you x

Dipsy77 · 02/06/2020 05:42

@Loladoodle an Ava bracelet tracks your bbt while you sleep so no need to temp or use opks.
It has really good reviews and success stories so fingers crossed 🤞 x

Lynnysong · 02/06/2020 06:36

@claireb707 I know it was negative, it was just nice seeing a second line lol. My resting heart rate is going up and I'll test again today. :)

claireb707 · 02/06/2020 07:27

@Lynnysong 👍
Sorry for staying the obvious then 😀 you can never tell, there are people on mn that think a 2nd line means it's positive, I think I used opks about 7 times yesterday but think I drink too much during the day to get much from. They all seem to be about the same for me. Think I'm due to ovulate today looking at temps / and the cb digital opks

PirateWeasel · 02/06/2020 07:59

Hi everyone, can I join? Almost 36, TTC #2, on cycle 2. Currently about 7dpo I think, although I'm just going by CM and not much else. Took 7 cycles to conceive last time and I'm older now, so expecting to be in for the long haul. Keep kidding myself that I'm more relaxed about it all this time round but here I am scouring the conception boards and checking Ovia every day! 🤣

Loladoodle · 02/06/2020 08:40

Morning everyone! Welcome new ladies!

@musiceverywhere ahhh what a mare so hard to know what is going on?! 9dpo is still very early to test though so you can’t rule anything in or out!

I have x2 frer arriving today but I’ll be out all day and haven’t kept fmu. Hoping I can hold out until tomo morning to test - and if it’s bfn then I have to accept af is on her way as due on Thursday.
