Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

I will definitely not be touching that depo with a barge poll. All the stories I've heard so far seem as though it's a waiting game of over a year to get bk regular cycles

Szalinski · 29/05/2020 12:06

Spotty I'll join you, I'm now a day late. I haven't tested again as I honestly think it'll be another negative!

musiceverywhere · 29/05/2020 12:15

I admire all you waiting for AF to be late! Think I'll be testing at 9DPO and every day after! 🙈😂 Currently about 5DPO.

Loladoodle · 29/05/2020 12:57

@musiceverywhere I would be too if my cheap tests had arrived. Have 2 Cb digi that I have stopped myslef from using but def been a few weak moments today where I’ve considered it 🤪

musiceverywhere · 29/05/2020 13:14

Are there any 'cheapie' tests that people have found/heard are better than others? Ideally not a strip one- I prefer something in a holder but know they cost more!

Lynnysong · 29/05/2020 13:14

@Sleeeeeepy that is annoying :(

@Spottybluepyjamas I thought I saw a line on a test turns out there was a scratch on the plastic - totally devastated

That's me taken my soy for the five days, I'm on CD7 now and gearing up to try with my donor. He can only come round next wednesday lol, so if I ovulate early because of the soy I will be annoyed.

I don't know how successful this will be if he can only come round once. It's got to be the day before or day of ovulation.

Afternoon I’m a newbie saying “hi”.
Not sure if I’m on the right thread as couldn’t see an over 40 ttc chat.
I’m 40, 41 in July. I have one son conceived after 18 months of ttc when I was 38 and we are now on month 5 of ttc #2.
We had fertility tests before getting pregnant naturally with our boy and all results pointed to us needing IVF so I’m assuming that as we are now over 2 years down the line our efforts may be fruitless but it doesn’t stop the want.
Do we have any over 40’s here?

Loladoodle · 29/05/2020 13:24

@lynnysong how have things been going with him? Is he the one that is quite experienced in all this? How does it work do you sleep with him? Or AI? How do you feel about it all? Sorry so many questions I’m just interested

Loladoodle · 29/05/2020 13:38

@Snebblesmamma welcome! I am 38 but there are plenty over 40 here. It’s a friendly and helpful group. You never know If you have been pregnant before you can catch again! Good luck

FridaKFangirl · 29/05/2020 14:05

Welcome @Snebblesmamma - Another 38 year old TTC #1 here. I'm new to this group and not posting as regularly yet but everyone has been lovely and welcoming :)

Lynnysong · 29/05/2020 14:07

@Snebblesmamma I'm 45 and probably slightly mad to try, I'm saving up for a donor egg and sperm so thought I may as well try naturally as I'm saving. You never know it does happen.

Lynnysong · 29/05/2020 14:15

@Loladoodle I feel a bit wierd tbh, but I have to try. Have to try even the smallest chance as having a kid. I hope the soy isoflavones help, I've heard really good things about them.

We're doing AI, I've just ordered some stuff for it so hopefully I'll get them in time. And I hope the soy doesn't make me ovulate really early, I did take the minimum dose.

Loladoodle · 29/05/2020 14:25

Wow it’s a real process isn’t it! I’m sure it gets stressful. I’m sure you have read it to it all, hope it goes well and you get your bfp. I hope the donor is a good guy who makes this as easy as possible for you.

Matilda19 · 29/05/2020 14:33

Hi all not posted for while...
So confused... So af still not arrived dont really feel like its going too either but then went loo and had slight light brown on paper..
Had implant out end April had period few days later
Been super ttc
Used app to predict ovulation and period just using 28 days as predicted cycle date
Im now according to that 4 days late but last test was bfn

If im out this month thats ok but would definitely like to start having an idea of what's happening xxx

Matilda19 · 29/05/2020 14:35

Think il order ovulation sticks check definitely ovulating with being on implant so long.. 😭

musiceverywhere · 29/05/2020 16:17

Aagh I just want to know one way or another! Have had other medical issues recently and don't know if all these random symptoms are linked to that, impending AF or pg? Likely it's just my body getting used to hormones changing again but at the moment I'm finding it difficult to work and don't know how worried I should be about how I feel. 😕.

musiceverywhere · 29/05/2020 16:23

Hi @Snebblesmamma we're definitely the right thread Grin I'm 4 months off the big 4-0 and husband 42 so definitely feeling the urgency, although I know it happens for lots of couples our age.

MrsTtobe · 29/05/2020 16:25

Welcome @Snebblesmamma all the ladies on here are lovely and plenty of women don't start having children till late thirties, early 40s these days! Good luck to you.

@Lynnysong I love finding all this out. I find it so interesting. I had a friend of a friend that ordered sperm from a website and she now has a beautiful baby boy! She was only in her twenties but just was desperate to be a mom. So he's coming round on Wednesday you say? Fingers crossed your eggs stay put till then. 😘

MrsTtobe · 29/05/2020 16:27

@Matilda19 I know it's harder said than done but try to hold out a few more days then test if still no AF. 🙏

Matilda19 · 29/05/2020 16:48

@MrsTtobe yeah think i will... I cant remember being this obsessed the other times but think csuse im older this tome round. Not sure just feel more anxious. Not going help things tho i suppose xx

MrsTtobe · 29/05/2020 17:08

@Matilda19 tell me about it. Thinking about ttc or reading about ttc or talking about ttc literally takes over my life at the minute. 😔 x

MrsTtobe · 29/05/2020 17:09

@Matilda19

MrsTtobe · 29/05/2020 18:12

Anyone else's mumsnet go a bit crazy? Mine was all over the place. 😂😂

FridaKFangirl · 29/05/2020 18:21

Yes @MrsTtobe! Mixing old and new posts, nothing in watchlist. Seems sorted now

claireb707 · 29/05/2020 18:23
