Hello everyone,

I am 37 going on 38 in December. TTC baby number 3. Came off the pill on the 1st may (2020). Previously I was on syanna press( depo).
I ovulated yesterday 😊
I only just finished my period on the 9th so didn't expect ovulation just yet. Also I am very new to using ovulation test. This is my second time using it. I am using the easy@home brand.
I have two boys ages 15 and 3years.❤️

Please join on this journey with me, so we can cheer each other up, share advice and information etc..

Good luck to all. FlowersSmile

MrsTtobe · 24/05/2020 11:43

I know I really hoped it would happen straight after my miscarriage too @Bellabubble but I guess our bodies need a little time to recover. ❤

Omg @Matilda19 have you got tests ready? When will you test? Im so excited and hopeful for you lovely. I just can't deal with the suspense. 🙈🤣 x

Happyhappy37 · 24/05/2020 11:49

Good morning all,
@MrsTtobe I am CD20, 9dpo, feeling out of sorts today 😕 i've lost my happy-go-lucky 😕. Going to do a meditation and lift myself up 🙂.
Will try to catch up with you all later. Sending you all positive energy and lots of baby dust.

We tested twice and got bfn at approx 10 and 11 dpo only using app for ovulation date so not sure if was too early.
Hoping af doesnt arrive today and if not will test tomorrow which will be 15dpo x

M4v3r1ck · 24/05/2020 12:07

Happy Sunday ladies! 😘

@musiceverywhere omg I still love all the wedding shows! Hope you're feeling better today! 😘

I'm still clueless on my cycle since I am only a couple of days after coil removal and still learning all the terminology; however, I was still "regular" on the coil, and AF is apparently due any time! The ovia app also says it's 12 days until my "fertile window"...

Loladoodle · 24/05/2020 13:02

@Happyhappy37 hope the meditation helps. We all have those days... you are always so positive, it’s perfectly fine to have a day off and allow yourself to feel whatever you need to feel. You are resilient and resourceful- you will dust yourself off and feel good again soon.

MrsTtobe · 24/05/2020 13:06

Not like you @Happyhappy37 you're usually the one cheering us all up. Sorry you're not feeling yourself. Hope it's just a surge of hormones. Hope you're feeling better.

@Matilda19 fingers crossed no AF for you lovely and you get your bfp tomorrow. 🙏

@M4v3r1ck yes I use ovia too and it's always fairly accurate, give or take a day or two. X

It's OK to feel blue @Happyhappy37 Hopefully the meditation helped, if not a bit of time always does the trick, tomorrow will be better.

I hope AF stays away @Matilda19, she's like that annoying relative we've all got who you hope doesn't turn up to family parties!

FridaKFangirl · 24/05/2020 14:40

Hope some quiet time and meditation has helped @Happyhappy37

Matilda19 · 24/05/2020 14:56

Thanks all! No sign so far hate the not knowing xx

Rumi1 · 24/05/2020 15:18

37 and ttc no.3 Since 2017

Had a few MC on the way

But as we have 2 boys already ( 16 and 5) we haven't been referred or anything

We'll see how the next few months go

Not sure I'll try past my 38th birthday which is in 10 months ...

So here's to the next 10 cycles

Matilda19 · 24/05/2020 16:02

@Rumi1 good luck lots of baby dust x

Lynnysong · 24/05/2020 16:34

@Happyhappy37 saw that you were feeling off today, hope it passes soon xx

Wanted to drop by and wish everyone about to start testing well. Baby dust for you guys and lots of hugs fx fx

I'm on CD2 today and going to start soy isoflavones tomorrow. I've also texted a donor today and emailed the other. If the doc doesn't get back to me, I'm going to try with the other donor. I don't want to waste a cycle. :)

Bellabubble · 24/05/2020 17:04

Thank you ladies!! I have been looking into getting co q10 and some calc fluor for this cycle to give me a helping hand! Is anybody using these already?

Yellowbird82 · 24/05/2020 17:19

Hi all, I’m new to mumsnet chat so forgive me if I don’t use all the correct abbreviations yet. We’ve been trying to conceive for a very long time now (3 years). We are both 38 now. Started fertility treatment last September (iui) for unexplained infertility with no success yet. Very sad when we had to stop in March. This month I had signs of implantation (spotting) 8 days after ovulation and very swollen breasts a week earlier than I’ve ever experienced pmt. I usually get this a few days before my period. I also had cramps yesterday evening which is not normal for me. I’m due my period tomorrow. Ive been so convinced that I’m pregnant for the last week but this morning I had very slight spotting, barely visible. I did a Poundland test at 3pm today and got a BFN. My heart is so broken.
I did have 2 decaf coffees and 2 herbal teas this morning so part of me is still clinging onto the possibility that it was too late in the afternoon to be testing and I’d had a lot to drink so hcg levels in my urine could be diluted and undetectable. I’ve also read that spotting is common in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated. I feel very alone/excluded these days as all my friends have children or are pregnant. Thanks. x

Yellowbird82 · 24/05/2020 17:34

Sorry just realise I’ve written an essay! 😂 thanks for reading if anyone does x

Happyhappy37 · 24/05/2020 17:35

Welcome to all the newbies. Hope everyone had a great day. 😄 Thanks to everyone for their kind words.
I've been busy cooking, watched fools and horses 😄 and now watching Gavin and Stacey with a nice cup of tea ☕
@Yellowbird82 🤞🏾fingers crossed for you. maybe retest in a couple days.

Bellabubble · 24/05/2020 17:53

@Yellowbird82 I know some people get early positives on the tests, but I think you need to have one that is more sensitive to the hcg hormone. For some people the hcg can be a bit slower to rise too - so maybe test in a few days if your period hasn’t arrived?

Sleeeeeepy · 24/05/2020 18:05

Welcome @Yellowbird82, I'm sorry it has been such a long journey for you. The cheapie tests aren't particularly sensitive and it can take days for the hcg to be high enough to read. I would cross everything (we will too!) and test again in a few days

I'm feeling lazy and bloated today. I really need to steer clear of the biscuits Blush

Loladoodle · 24/05/2020 18:13

@Yellowbird82 I know it’s awful when you get your hopes up so much. I understand as it took 3 years to conceive my little boy and I was tormented for that time with negative pg tests and obsessing over symptoms. The month I had kind of given up and stopped obsessing, didn’t test early and literally had zero symptoms was the month it happened. It could be that the spotting is hormones/stress, or normal pre af spotting (I used to get that every month) or it could be implantation. I find in these time’s it’s best to expect that you might not be and if you are then what a wonderful surprise. I know that’s so hard to do- I really feel for you! I was completely up the wall with Ttc for 3 years. So much so that I’ve said this time if it hasn’t happened by New Year I will stop trying as I don’t want to be where I was before.

Loladoodle · 24/05/2020 18:15

Sooo... today we have dtd quite a lot. This has confused me as usually I feel I ov around cd10 as my sex drive is very high then. I just assumed ov was over.... but now I’m wondering maybe I’ve ov later this month. I won’t be tracking ov so all I can do it wait to see if af shows up between 1-4 June. Not knowing is both good and bad I guess. The less I know the less crazy I can get... 😬

musiceverywhere · 24/05/2020 19:12

Hi @Yellowbird82 , sorry to read your situation- it must incredibly hard to have to put your treatments etc on hold for something that is completely out of your control. Hopefully something like 'normal service' will start to resume soon. Agree with advice on cheapie tests. Will keep fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻
Hoping a relaxing bath before bed will make for a less stressful night here! I'm going to be going bonkers by 14DPO! 🙈

MrsTtobe · 24/05/2020 19:39

@Yellowbird82 welcome to the group lovely. 😊
We're a friendly bunch. 🤣
Wishing you lots of luck. 😘

Glad you're feeling more yourself @Happyhappy37 ive been cooking too. Beef goulash tonight. Been cleaning the windows too and trying not to think about what's going on inside my body too much. Keep telling myself what will be will be and I'm not allowing myself to Google any symptoms this month.
@Loladoodle I'm with you girl 🤣 we've been dtd lots too. Twice yesterday, again this morning and maybe tonight. 🙈 Lucky that my fertile period has fell on bank holiday. 😬 I really fancy oh around the time of ovulation 🙈🤣

Matilda19 · 24/05/2020 19:52

Its crazy how often we dtd didnt realise untill tracked it! So pleased its that way so hope we catch a bfp soon! Trying to not think over obsess but its so hard. Il be pleased to go back to work.
Im a nurse caught covid19 and was pretty ill had lots of days to think and got better that spurred us on to try for a bfp!
