Hi ladies,

We’ve been TTC for about 6 months now with no luck, this month I decided to start tracking my BBT and realised that I ovulate earlier than expected.
My periods are irregular since having my coil removed in October but are slowly returning to ‘normal’
I started my OPKs and received a peak result on the 30th April along with EWCM.
However my BBT said I ovulated on the 3rd of May (even though my OPK was negative?!)
On the 13th of May I again got a high OPK?! So confusing?!

I’ve been getting so many ‘pregnancy symptoms’ such as backache, really sore boobs, metallic/bitter taste in mouth, nausea, heartburn, dizzy, really sore dry lips?! Etc etc...

This morning I took a pregnancy test and it showed up with a very very very faint line.
It’s the Femometer brand.
Does this look like a positive? I swear I can see a really faint line but my OH isn’t convinced!

Am I best to wait a few more days?
My app said AF should arrive on Monday but with my periods being so irregular I’m not convinced... sorry for the long post!!

Any advice would be appreciated!! xx

I can see something but would test again.

When you say irregular are you often early or late. I would test Monday with first morning urine.

Soozbuck · 15/05/2020 08:21

Thanksthanks moobar, I am usually late.
My first
Thanks Moobar, I am usually late.
My first cycle went from 23rd Nov- 23rd Jan so 62 days.
Then it was 45 days, my last was 39 days.
I had a coil in for 10 years and the doctor told me that it could take atleast 6 months for my cycle to go back to normal.

This is my first time TTC so I’m trying to get my head round everything! 🙈

When I’ve previously taken a pregnancy test there hasn’t been any faint lines at all so that’s why this time round has got me questioning!

Thank you for replying xx

carls28 · 15/05/2020 08:26

You can't even see my line can you it was so so faint

Soozbuck · 15/05/2020 08:34

Congratulations!!! GrinGrin
I have some clearblue digitals but I'm so nervous to do them haha!
Did you do your tests with first morning urine?

I don't know if to test again later today?
I definitely feel 'different' this month it's weird?!

I done the digital in the evening. If that picks up even a tiny bit of HCG in your urine it will show as pregnant they are so good x

Soozbuck · 15/05/2020 09:35

Thanks! I might do one tonight 🙈🙈xx

Yes if usually late I would say that looks good, like your getting a faint line early. If not due till at least Monday. That's great.

Pol96 · 15/05/2020 14:38

@Soozbuck in the same situation, I've got the femometer tests and getting faint lines since yesterday afternoon.. Had been completely white on previous days. Don't really know when I'm due, currently 12dpo. Let me know how you get on!

Hi @soozbuck!

Exciting times!!
Your OPK/BBT situating is absolutely fine.
OPKs show positive when the LH hormone surges, this surge basically kick-starts ovulation. For some women this happens within hours of the positive OPK, others take a couple of days. LH Drops very very quickly after Ovulation so tests will be negative quickly.
The rise in your BBT happens after ovulation. This is btw the only way other than ultrasound to determine whether ovulation actually happened.

I've got my fingers crossed for you that the vvf turns into a bfp!! 🤞🏼

This graph shows it pretty well...

I did another test this morning and it's only slightly darker than the one on Friday.
My OH could actually see this one! 😂
Still having same symptoms and yesterday I had such bad cramping on my lower right side so last night I decided to do a OPK and it was peak?!
My BBT has been high now for 14 days.
Tomorrow I'm going to test with a clearblue early detection as I read online that it's 10miu.
Will keep you updated, I just don't want to get myself excited incase it's a false positive!!! xx

I can see a line on both Smile

Soozbuck · 17/05/2020 10:07

Also congratulations @Pol96 !!! Grinxxx

NoCallerID · 17/05/2020 10:12

Congrats 🥳 That's a good line!
OPKs can't necessarily distinguish between LH and HCG so if you have HCG it can show up on an OPK. Some people use OPKs like pregnancy tests but it's not reliable.

Pol96 · 17/05/2020 10:12

@Soozbuck thanks! And I can deffo see it on yours, Congratulations!
I got carried away this morning.. And took 3 different ones..
