Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

@Sussexbysea I'm really sorry to hear about your BFN, at least you can focus on your thyroid treatment now though (I know, not much consolation 😔) and hopefully will find things easier afterwards a a result 🤞🏻

@Teamom1605 congratulations! That's great news! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy. Hope your good luck rubs off on the rest of us!

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/06/2020 13:49

Many congratulations @Teamom1605 that's great news! Hope it's a sign for others on this thread!

@Sussexbysea sorry to hear of your disappointment. Best of luck on your thyroid treatment!

mm26 · 06/06/2020 15:21

Hope it's ok to join! I'm currently around 6DPO and will be testing around the 12th June (if I can wait that long..!)

I'm only 2nd month ttc and I've already been going mad symptom spotting and reading everything possible on the internet! I know it's not always helpful, but it's hard not to!

Congrats to the BFP so far! Sorry to those who have had BFNs and I wish you lots of luck whenever you can start trying again.

daisy0805 · 06/06/2020 15:32

@mm26 hi! I'm exactly the same stage as you 🤞🏼

MintGreenLife · 06/06/2020 15:59

@mm26 I'm 7DPO so only just ahead of you, I'm probably going to test on the 11th, but like you finding it hard to hold off 🙈 Oh gosh I'm spending waaay too much time on Google and am so alert to every tiny little thing. This is cycle 1 for us, so all very new!

Juno231 · 06/06/2020 16:03

Hi all - I'm 6DPO and hoping to test on the 11th so am happy to join you ladies as we wait for the TWW to pass!

I'm 32 and on cycle 5, TTC #1.

mm26 · 06/06/2020 16:24

@Juno231 @daisy0805 and @MintGreenLife hello! It's so nice to be chatting to people at the same stage! I've not told anyone I know that we're ttc- I just didn't want the added pressure of expectations, so it's nice to have others to chat with things about.

So far I've felt super tired (having to nap half way through the day!) and had no appetite at all. I've also had bad cramping and feel like I can smell bad smells more today. I know it's very uncommon (an some would say impossible) for symptoms to have started already, but it's all just so out of the ordinary for me to feel like this!

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/06/2020 16:41

Welcome @Juno231 and @mm26 nice to have you on board! The 11th is going to be an exciting or disappointing day isn't it lol! My dads bday too so I hope I'm not too much of a downer if I get a bfn. I'm not feeling too positive tbh. After 9 months of ttc our first it's hard to keep the positivity going! I'm 9dpo today and af due on the 12th.

MrsLully · 06/06/2020 17:23

Hi! I'm due to test around the 11th as well, but I have to confess that I did test already and got a BFN. I also have a massive tooth ache (I'm currently on antibiotics due to one of my wisdom teeth) and trying to not take ibuprofen... I wish I could know for sure because the pain is killing me Grin

MintGreenLife · 06/06/2020 17:38

@mm26 hope lots of us get our BFP this month! I had some twinges in my lower middle which lasted two days, felt nauseous on the first day I had the twinges and had mild lower back pain since. Promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot after reading it's highly unlikely to get symptoms this early on, and yet here I am!

MintGreenLife · 06/06/2020 17:39

Welcome @MrsLully how many DPO are you? Sorry to hear about the tooth ache, that must suck. How far along are you in your TTC journey? Is it DC1 for you? x

daisy0805 · 06/06/2020 18:06

@mm26 I'm exactly the same with symptom spotting!! I also haven't told anyone that we are TTC because of the pressure - I have endometriosis so it might not necessarily be easy for us.
I have had pain in the ovary region (apparently this is to do with the rise in progesterone) and I have been exhausted and feel like crap but apparently that is because of the lowering of oestrogen... I find this all so confusing as this will be our first baby. xx

mm26 · 06/06/2020 18:22

@MintGreenLife yes fingers crossed! Me too. I know from reading it’s not likely symptoms but I can’t help but thinking it!!

@daisy0805 how strange, I am exactly the same with endometriosis and it being our first! Also completely confused and a bit overwhelmed with all the science behind it all 😂

WishingWell20 · 06/06/2020 18:34

Wishing so much luck to everyone! I’m 11 DPO and dreading seeing AF every time I go to the loo. Let’s hope she stays away from us🤞🤞

MrsLully · 06/06/2020 18:56

@MintGreenLife I'm 9 or 10 DPO (I always have ovulation pain for a couple of days so I'm never sure exactly) and this is our second month trying.
We have an almost 18 month old DD, she's the absolute best Smile It's our first time TTC though because she was an accident Grin
How about you?

MintGreenLife · 06/06/2020 19:40

Awh lovely 😊 how are you finding learning about everything? I'm 7/8DPO, like you not 100% sure as found OPKs and charting BBT to be less than helpful! This is my first cycle and baby number 1, so all new to me but enjoying learning x

MintGreenLife · 06/06/2020 19:40

@MrsLully message above x

MrsLully · 06/06/2020 20:00

@MintGreenLife to be fair since I know when I'm ovulating pretty much every month (it does hurt like period pain to me) I just try to DTD a few days before (I just use an app for this) and during and after. Sometimes the app is wrong of course, but I'm trying to not get massively obsessed just yet.
I thought I was going to be pretty chilled and so far in just two cycles I must have tested about 6 or 7 times, so much for being chilled! Blush

daisy0805 · 06/06/2020 20:06

@mm26 omg we are exactly the same haha 😂 I'm getting bloody impatient waiting I'll tell you that!! X

fashu · 06/06/2020 23:26

Hi All, quick update from my side.
@Sussexbysea so sorry to hear you got a BFN! Wishing you all the best with your treatment!

I took a clearblue easy to read this morning and got a faint line that completely disappeared after an hour, so I decided to order an FRER on amazon same day delivery! It came at 6pm so I had a 4 hour hold and there is a wisp of a line! My husband thinks I'm crazy, he can't see it, but I think that's because hes not very clued up on this stuff (he thought you use a pregnancy test like a tampon LOL)
So I am cautiously optimistic and waiting for tomorrow morning now!
Hope a few of us get our BFP's tomorrow!

Muriel84 · 06/06/2020 23:55

@fashu your husband thinking a hpt works like a tampon really made me lol! Congrats on your bfp! How many dpo are you? I am 12dpo today and had a faint positive yesterday, bit darker today. Not getting too excited though as had two consecutive miscarriages prior to this at 5 and 6 weeks.

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/06/2020 08:37

@fashu and @Muriel84 post a pic of your tests. Would love to see! Faint lines are a great sign, hope it works out for you both! Thanks

eastcoastgirl · 07/06/2020 08:58

Well I caved this morning, and took a test. I'm on day 25 of my cycle, and I think around 12dpo, so still on the early side for testing I know, but I couldn't wait any more, BFN 😔😔 I expected it really, I just had a feeling (or should that be lack of a feeling?) but it's still like a kick in the gut. I know we are only on cycle 2, and it's still really early days, but I still feel so flat and deflated now. I may wait and see if AF turns up on weds and test again if not, but I think that's wishful thinking.

Trying to think of the positives. I've not log since started a new job and the longer I'm there before getting pregnant the better really, gives us longer to finish the work we are doing on the house, more time to save, more time to get the folic acid in my system, a March birthday has nicer weather than a February birthday etc etc. Doesn't really make me feel much better though!

I'm going to order some of the preseed some of you mentioned later today and give that a go this month. What's the deal with pineapple, I know a few people have been eating that/drinking pineapple juice? Any other tips of things I could try next month?

Wishing you all best of luck ladies xx

MrsLully · 07/06/2020 09:35

@eastcoastgirl I know how you feel. This is our second cycle as well and I've already tested twice, two BFN of course! I'm not 11 DPO myself, so don't beat yourself up!
Good luck everybody!

Muriel84 · 07/06/2020 09:39

@notyetamumbuttrying I’d love to share a photo but not sure how! Maybe because I’m new? 🙈

@eastcoastgirl sorry for your bfn but you are still quite early to test? What sort of test was it?

So I’ve been using standard IC 20mIU/ml tests and one step at the same time which are meant to be 10miu/ml. I got my faint lines first on the standard ICs. The one step ones are pants.

Much stronger line this morning but as mentioned previously I can’t let myself get excited.
