Hi all,

Following on from the previous thread of ‘testing around 13th May’. So many people messaged to say they found the group useful so I thought I’d recreate one.

Everyone is welcome and look forward to hearing everyone’s stories.

Hi @notyetamumbuttrying this was our first month properly trying, before that we’ve not been careful if you see what I mean!
I’m 4dpo now, this is going to drag!
Keeping everything crossed for you! Smile

MrsSam88 · 31/05/2020 08:55

Hi @TheDaydreamBelievers I think I ovulated on 27th, so close to you! Doubt I’ll be able to hold out til 14dpo though! How long have you been TTC?

notyetamumbuttrying · 31/05/2020 08:58

And for you @MrsSam88Smile
Hi @TheDaydreamBelievers glad you got to see your parents, I did too yesterday. First time since feb as I live in London and they're in Bucks. Was sooooooo nice!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 31/05/2020 09:00

Hi @MrsSam88 - I've been off the pill and post withdrawal bleed for 74 days but only got my first positive ovulation marker on 27th and 28th. Its therefore technically cycle 1? Super unlikely of get pregnant this time round, and my cycle has nowhere near normalised, but still you never know! We have been giving it a good go haha Wink, so can always cross our fingers!

kirinm · 31/05/2020 09:19

@mrssam I had my DD at 40. Pregnant first month of trying at aged 39 so you have plenty of time!

I think I'm ovulating today or tomorrow. Having cramps and had a high reading on an opk today. I won't be late by 11th but will definitely be in the early testing zone. I thought I was being quite relaxed but I saw the squintiest line on internet cheapies last month and was obsessed. I think they were really just shadows so going to try and ignore anything that isn't an actual line in future.

WishingWell20 · 31/05/2020 15:27

Hi all Good luck to everyone! I’m 5 dpo and had stomach cramps all day so my mind is going crazy but keep trying to forget about it, not easy though! AF due 9th June. Must not test yet...must not test yet...

Sussexbysea · 31/05/2020 16:20

Ladies, Every month for a year or two, I get sore to touch boobs around ovulation and up to period. This month nothing..... until this afternoon and there’s a tingle. I’m due to test in 6/7 days. I wonder if anyone has had this before?

PirateWeasel · 31/05/2020 17:29

Wishingwell, me too! 5dpo and AF due 9th. Lots of luck to you! I'm only on cycle 2 so not expecting to strike lucky for a while, but would be amazing if it happened. No experience of that, Sussex, but women's bodies are incredible... It might be gearing up for something exciting! 🤞🤞

kirinm · 31/05/2020 17:31

@Sussexbysea when I had my DD one of my first symptoms was no boob pain. I used to get it between ovulation and period too but not when I was pregnant. They did start to hurt but not for a couple of weeks.

Sussexbysea · 31/05/2020 19:18

@kirinm now this is the kind of information I like to hear! If I am pregnant, I’ll be surprised.

@PirateWeasel I hope so.

Hi everyone! Not been active today so feel like I'm out the loop!

@notyetamumbuttrying As a response to your message yesterday, it's so hard when it feels like everyone around you is pregnant and babies is everything that everyone is taking about, your time will come, just have to keep headstrong.

We had a lovely day walking and then made some pina coladas, watched mama Mia and cried three times. Don't know what's up with me! Think it's a lot of built up emotion and I don't know how to deal with it all so as soon as I'm a little tipsy and a slightly emotional song comes on I'm just a mess! Already in bed now!

notyetamumbuttrying · 31/05/2020 21:20

Thanks @33Carr that helps 😘 I know what you mean about being emotional! I hope a good cry and an early night is what you need to feel better 🤗

33Carr · 31/05/2020 21:26

@notyetamumbuttrying Definitely feel better for being in bed however my eyes are so sore I feel like a naked vole!!! OH said his eyes hurt too so I think it's from the sun hah! How's your day been?

Everyone looking forward to a new week tomorrow?

notyetamumbuttrying · 31/05/2020 21:31

Haha 🤣 @33Carr great analogy! Days been lovely thanks. Enjoying the sun in some green space near us today. We're in a flat so have to leave it to enjoy the sun as no garden. We do have a balcony but it never gets the sun!
Feeling very optimistic about June actually, lockdown is easing, it's getting warmer and hopefully we'll all get out bfp's too!

33Carr · 31/05/2020 21:46

@notyetamumbuttrying Yesss I'm also feeling the same about June, I think the great weather has a big part to play! I have a promotion interview coming up this week so that's going to keep me distracted for a while, I'm up against two of my close friends so it's a tough one! Have you got much coming up to keep busy with?

notyetamumbuttrying · 31/05/2020 21:54

@33Carr yeah I agree re the great weather playing the part in the uplift in mood. Ooh best of luck with the interview and remember that you're all going for it together so you're all worthy of it! Smash it! Yeah my works always busy so that'll keep me distracted and stressed 🤪

33Carr · 31/05/2020 21:57

@notyetamumbuttrying Thank you! At least work is good for two things 1) paying the bills 2) TWW distractions!! Hope your week isn't too stressful though!

notyetamumbuttrying · 31/05/2020 22:05

Thank you @33Carr let us know how you get on with your interview, best of luck! 🍀

Sussexbysea · 01/06/2020 07:12

Morning everyone.

It’s a new week, a new month. The sun is shining and today we can all get a bit closer to our loved ones and friends.

Is anyone wanting to test early yet? One of the clearblue tests I have says that if you test 4 days before AF it’s only 60% accurate but one day before it’s 97%. Crazy how much the hormones change in a short amount of time.

OP posts:
TTCgee · 01/06/2020 07:18

@33Carr good luck with the job interview! I'm sure you'll smash it 🥰🥰

@Sussexbysea it's crazy isn't it! doesn't the HCG double every 24 hours after conception or something? I always wait for AF now because of that reason. I was finding I'd test then get a BFN but still hold onto hope like 'well it could just be that it's a bit early' and end up going through 3/4 only for AF to show up!

Does anyone else track their cervical position? I'm pretty sure I'm definitely out this month (not sure I ovulated anyway) but it's now 6 days since my LH surged and my cervix is low and firm which apparently means conception hasn't occurred! I think it stays up high and softer if you've conceived and if you haven't goes lower and firmer until AF xx

Sussexbysea · 01/06/2020 07:40

@TTCgee I only test when AF is due too. Tests are too expensive 🙈

I don’t track my cervical position. I’ve felt for it before and wasn’t really sure what I was feeling and when I did, I convinced myself I was pregnant. I’ll just stick to tests 🤗

OP posts:
kirinm · 01/06/2020 08:22

@TTCgee I think the cervix moves up as pregnancy progresses?

I tested early last month but only have those internet cheapie strips and I ended up doing them more than once a day (as I have loads). Going to try and be more normal this month.

Sussexbysea · 01/06/2020 09:13

@kirinm when the temptation is there it’s easy to test more often.
