BBT still above coverline after bleed. Help?

Evening all.

I am looking for some advice and opinions please. This is my first month tracking bbt but it hasn’t dropped before AF when I expected it to.

CD19 - Ovulation according to clear blue monitor
12DPO - very very faint line. Brown spotting.
13DPO - another faint line. Heavy dark red bleeding. Assumed AF or chemical pregnancy loss.
14DPO - brown spotting, no red.
15DPO - light brown spotting. Faint line, looks darker than before but still stupidly faint.

I’m really confused and unsure as to what could be happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

The drs just said to go to A&E if I experience any pain but other than that they didn’t have much to say about it. She actually said I know more than she does... sigh. Anyway, I don’t have any symptoms. Maybe mild cramps if I think about it but very mild.

Our meeting went well thank you. The dr doesn't have any immediate concerns with everything we told him, other than my periods being erratic but he said he doesn't see that being a problem as I seem to be ovulating every month. He said there is no obvious reason why I shouldn't conceive naturally but has recommended an ultrasound, AMH bloodtest and a HSG to rule everything out.

He did also recommend that I stop tracking, he said he really doesn't see the benefit of it and that it will cause me more stress. So I have stopped OPKs and am just doing my bbt now xx

That’s great , good to get everything tested . I did all the tests going . I used to do bbt but gave it up as I found even that stressful. I wish I could just dtd every two days and forget about ttc but it’s impossible! I just do opks now . Let me know how your tests go 👍🏻 Xx

@kcf90 hey! CD8 over here! Thought we had got lucky last month but we didn't! I've deleted all apps and everything this month I had like four apps on the go checking my temp every morn etc, stopped it all now, just wearing the Ava bracelet, how are you? X

@AnxiousAnnie86 aw I am so sorry you’re onto another cycle. I think I’m with you next month, stopping tracking things, maybe just keep doing bbt. The doctors even said it’s not worth it.

I’m ok, currently 8dpo and my temps have been all over this place the last few days compared to previous months.

I have my amh blood test and ultrasound booked for the 15th but that’ll have to be pushed back if af shows late xx

@kcf90 hello - just wanted to say a lot of doctors say tracking causes stress but there's nothing really backing that claim. Additionally a lot of people would find it more stressful not knowing when they ovulated or having to DTD every 2-3 days the whole cycle out of fear of missing it. So take his advice with a pinch of sal;t and do what's best for you.

@Juno231 Hey! Ah yeah I completely get that. He said it off of the back of me saying that I was only tracking to help his investigations and I found it stressful. He said he didn’t need all the information for my fertility treatment so I think I’ll have a month off, as I know which week I’ll generally be ovulating :) xx

9dpo and losing hope, think I’m going to see my temp dip tomorrow :( I always seem to have a rise on 9dpo xx

Hey @kcf90 is it ok to join? I posted a similar question to your original post in another group I'm on - all my temps before the fertile week bar 3 were above the cover line, they didn't seem to drop much at all during AF. I know you originally posted a couple of months ago and your temps look great this month - may I ask if you did anything differently? I'll try and add a photo of my chart this month.

I'm now 12dpo (on a very long cycle) and feel like AF is coming 👎🏻 This is our tenth month trying and it's getting to us both now. I went for private tests as I'm 34 and have irregular cycles - AMH levels are good for my age and have scans / baseline hormones being done as soon as AF arrives. Five close friends have announced pregnancies over the last two months which hasn't made things easier especially as none seemed to try that hard. It's a strange feeling being happy for them but also sad.

I really hope your temps stay up and you get your bfp this month x

@Tink2019 of course you can join in :) How are your temps looking now? I am sorry I hadn't seen your message sooner! I have found that you need to ignore the previous months coverline once a new cycle begins, mine differs every month. I didn't necessarily do anything other than get into a tight rhythm with it.

It's a horrible process and I don't think you and your partner are alone in the fact it is getting to you. Hopefully the scans and tests are now booked in for you? Or actually, hopefully your last period never came?!!

@Sunshinelove8 I am ok thank you, I had a bad week last week when AF showed her ugly face again. However, today has been a step forward.. I have had my AMH blood test, an ultrasound and an HSG. All done today!

Blood test - waiting on results
Ultrasound - one of my ovaries contains 19 follicles and one contains 17 follicles. This would put me borderline for PCOS (they say over 20 and its PCOS). This would explain why my cycles vary each month but its a good sign that I do have a period each month I guess? She didn't suggest anything needed to be done about this so I am not sure how to feel about this news.
HSG - oh what a pleasant experience that was.. NOT! But all looks good on that front, phew!

So now I am just waiting on full blood works doing on 29 July and then its back to the specialist with all the information to hopefully find a way forward.

I see so many people say they got pregnant after the HSG test so keeping everything crossed. I have decided that I am not trying anything fancy this month and only tracking my BBT. It got to me too much last month.

Anyway, thats me! How are you doing? Have you started your IVF this month?!

@kcf90 Sadly AF did come 👎🏻 But I kind of knew because my temps were just dropping every day. I'm not sure what's going on with my bbt - my pre O temps are always quite high until the lead up to O and the shift is very slow after O. Googling suggests oestrogen-progesterone deficiency but my bloods all came back normal - although not had day 21 progesterone and think I need that!

I had my scan Monday (glad yours is all good by the way!) - they suspected I had PCOS but have 16 follicles on one ovary and 11 on the other. Yet to speak to consultant but sounds like that wouldn't indicate PCOS??

Trying Soy Insoflavones this cycle to see if that brings O forward and may try B6 after I ovulate...I have Clomid ready to take but have decided to exhaust all other natural options first.

When do you get your bloods etc back? My fertility consultant hasn't suggested a HSG or HyCosy, he's suggested a laparoscopy which does not thrill me! X

@kcf90 wow! It really sounds like you have been going through it! But I'm pleased you are progressing and hopefully will get some answers and it won't be long for you now!!!!

I think I'm 4dpo! I got a positive on Cd13 on clear blue advanced, which I've never ever had before! But I'm not sure I ovulated, my temps don't seem very high, but then I'm only using Ava this month and think temps work diff on that, x

@AnxiousAnnie86 hey!! I am ok thank you, how are you doing? I never got a notification last time again! Grr. I got my amh results today, finally, and they are high at 40pmol. I can’t work out if this is a good or bad thing, some places say it means I have high ovulation reserve which sounds good and then some say it’s a sign of pcos. So confusing. My full bloods looked ok other than vitamin D so I have to take a pill each month to give me 40000mg vitD. Anyway I’m CD23 and think I’m 3dpo based on my temps. They’ve not shot up massively though :/ We’ve not tracked anything else this month so fingers crossed. Where are you at?

@kcf90 I'm not sure on test results as we haven't started looking into fertility yet we've agreed January if we haven't had any luck, that will be a year since my periods returned after MC. I'm 11dpo today.... nothing much to report apart from my boobs have been agony since 6dpo! And they seem to of grown! Feel like I've been in TWW FOREVER, as I got a false positive on clear blue advanced, but then my temp never went up! So kept testing and 10 days later got another postive! Never had that before, like the TWW isn't bad enough without adding more xxx

@AnxiousAnnie86 that is very frustrating! Sore / bigger boobs sounds promising though 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@kcf90 my AMH was 38.5 and the nurse said that was good for my age (34). 40 sounds fine to me - have a read of this blog post, I found it interesting as panicked mine sounded high even though they said it was fine theduff.co.uk/amh-levels-ivf/. I've just my progesterone blood test, so will be interesting to see if that's normal as everything else is. When do you have a follow up appointment?

@AnxiousAnnie86 it’s good you have a plan of when you want to start treatment, gives you a goal to work to. Although sore boobs does sound promising. Have you tried pregnancy testing yet? You have serious willpower if not at 11dpo haha. That’s strange on your LH levels though, wonder why that happened randomly!

@Tink2019 yeah I’ve only seen it on a sheet of paper so wasn’t sure, I just saw high and panicked until I read up that it suggests higher is better. Progesterone is the only thing I’ve never had tested. Because my stupid dr forgot when I went in for that and another test doing. I’ve no idea when the follow up appt is frustratingly, hopefully won’t be too long as it’s been over 2 weeks already since the tests. Other than this borderline pcos thing I think everything else has been ok xx

@kcf90 I don't know Cos I have never ever had a false peak before!!! I refuse to test early! I find it less disappointing when Af comes rather then scrutinising tests for days, x

My temperature is being a pain this month. It’s barely risen. I’ve been tracking 4 months and had distinct rises to confirm ovulation but this month it’s hardly gone up :( xx

Would this lower my chances to conceive? Xx

@kcf90 no you can deffo see a rise. Sometimes it's just a slower rise in progesterone.... mine took till 4dpo to even rise this month and it's barely risen compared to last months! X

@AnxiousAnnie86 it’s the only thing I’ve tracked this month so not sure when I ovulated or anything. It went up a bit more today xx
