BBT still above coverline after bleed. Help?

Evening all.

I am looking for some advice and opinions please. This is my first month tracking bbt but it hasn’t dropped before AF when I expected it to.

CD19 - Ovulation according to clear blue monitor
12DPO - very very faint line. Brown spotting.
13DPO - another faint line. Heavy dark red bleeding. Assumed AF or chemical pregnancy loss.
14DPO - brown spotting, no red.
15DPO - light brown spotting. Faint line, looks darker than before but still stupidly faint.

I’m really confused and unsure as to what could be happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

The drs just said to go to A&E if I experience any pain but other than that they didn’t have much to say about it. She actually said I know more than she does... sigh. Anyway, I don’t have any symptoms. Maybe mild cramps if I think about it but very mild.

Thanks

Kirsty xx

@kcf90 I started spotting last night and full on AF this morning ☹️ onto the next cycle. Hope your doing okay xx

kcf90 · 25/09/2020 16:22

@Mich2020 oh I am so sorry to hear that. At least you’re past that horrible unknown stage and onto the next cycle. Keeping everything crossed for you.

All good here thank you. Still very surreal! Just hope baby is settling in nicely to stay! Xx

AF was the most pointless ever. A bit of bright red blood on the Monday then basically nothing for two days. All that pain for that haha.
Glad your well @kcf90 so exciting xx

kcf90 · 25/09/2020 16:33

@Mich2020 my periods were like that every month! Good luck with this cycle. Thank you :) xx

@kcf90 how are you doing lovely xx

kcf90 · 27/10/2020 18:46

@AnxiousAnnie86 Hey you!! It’s so lovely to hear from you! How are you?!

I am ok thank you. Had a bit of a rough week last week but hopefully all is ok.

I had a private scan on 18th October which put baby at 8 weeks, 3 days (10 days behind where we had thought). We saw a little heartbeat ❤️ I’ll attach a piccy :)

The scan also found a 6cm cyst on my right ovary which is over the normal size limit so this needs to be looked over again at my next scan (4th Nov!). The private scan unit told me to refer immediately to my dr but my dr was so blasé about it and told me that they weren’t bothered about it and wouldn’t look at it until baby was born, even though it’s at risk of popping due to the size. My midwife said we will look at it at the scan though.

I’m not sure if I mentioned that, just before I found out I was pregnant, I had been tested for lupus and the tests showed positive anticoagulants. I asked my dr if this was a problem when I found out I was pregnant but she said ‘nah’. I mentioned it to the midwife at my first appointment anyway to be sure and she immediately referred me to a consultant who has put me on baby aspirin daily as well as heparin injections daily (which I have to self inject). They said I should have been doing this since I became pregnant. Thanks again dr! This was quite upsetting to hear I have to do all this but the consultant says it’s all safe for baby etc.

The same day I found all this out (last Thursday) my body decided it would be fun to give me some brown blood/spotting. I thought that was it. I was distraught. It only lasted around 12 hours though and there was no red. All my symptoms eased massively the same week, just to panic me further. So now we are just waiting for the next scan to make sure baby is ok.

I am not sure if the spotting was caused by the fact that I had an internal scan. Just took 5 days to react?! I’m not sure.

So that was all a bit scary and I’m in a bit of limbo. But hopeful all is ok if no cramping or no further bleeding/spotting.

Sorry for the essay!!

How are things going for you hun? Xx

@kcf90 oh my gosh you sound like you've been going through the absolute ringer!!! Why can't it just be simple hey! Found out your pregnant and it's happily ever after!!! I bet it was amazing to hear a little heartbeat? Did you get any explanation for the spotting, I've read somewhere about secondary implantation at 7-8 weeks?!

Well I found out I was pregnant yesterday, one year to the day since my Mc!! The test was so so dark and I was so happy but I did a test this morning amd it's lighter, so I'm really worried! And also I'm getting cramps and like a heavy feeling in stomach and back :( do you remember that at four weeks? Xx

Bottom photos today's :(

kcf90 · 27/10/2020 20:15

@AnxiousAnnie86 oh my goodness here’s me banging on when you’re keeping that news!!! This is amazing; I am so excited for you and hope it’s a sticky bean ❤️

Try not to stress too much about the line progression (easier said than done I know!). Mine definitely weren’t this dark at 4 weeks and they weren’t consistent in colours either. How many dpo are you?

As for the cramping, I am not sure as I didn’t really feel anything for a little while and I haven’t really had cramping. Just constipation and bloating (sorry tmi). If you are concerned, would your doctors do any hcg tests to make sure it’s going up? Especially as you’ve experienced a miscarriage before. I really hope it’s just baby embedding in that’s causing some discomfort for you.

Yeah the heartache doesn’t really stop when you get the positive test does it, I worry about every little twinge or change because of all the stories I have heard and read throughout the ttc journey. My mind certainly isn’t at ease yet, feel like there are still a lot of hurdles to go but trying to enjoy it when I can.

We didn’t get the hear the heartbeat but we could see it flickering away nicely. Hopefully the nhs scan will allow us to hear it as I can imagine that’s an amazing feeling. A part of me is just terrified something has happened and they will give me bad news. My symptoms have really died down now but the midwife says that can be normal.

As for the spotting, no explanation. The midwife said she would only be concerned if it didn’t stop within 24 hours and it did. And they say brown blood generally seems to be ok and normal. But who knows :( you can read good and bad of every little thing which makes it a nightmare to find comfort! Xx

@kcf90 thank you, I'm not feeling to happy just yet as I have a feeling somethings going to happen, I have quite an uncomfortable feeling on one side today, not sure I could take another MC! I'm 15dpo today....

Least you've had a scan now and know the next ones not too far off!!

Funny thing was the day before we had just bought a puppy, as decided the baby thing obviously wasn't happening for us any time soon!! We pick him up on 14th November!! X

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/10/2020 20:33

@kcf90 have you had any sickness? With my daughter (now 13) I had horrific sickness, but just little waves here and there currently x

kcf90 · 27/10/2020 20:43

@AnxiousAnnie86 I completely understand your reservations hun, just take it easy and hopefully baby will push through this hard bit. Please do try and speak with your doctor if you can, they may be able to do something to help.

It’s crazy how it happens when you least expect it or make other plans. But it’ll be nice to have the little puppy addition to your family! Exciting!

No I haven’t had any physical sickness. Just felt a bit off at times but definitely nothing extreme! The only things I really felt around 6 weeks was sore nipples, firm boobs and constipation. But I don’t feel any of it now really, my boobs feel normal! Xx

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/10/2020 08:29

@kcf90 yeah my boobs hurt!! And have a constant aching feeling but thays about it! I just wish the aches would go away! But I guess things are stretching etc! It's just I had the aching with my Mc....

My sister had constipation all through her pregnancy!! She said it was the worst part!! Are you going to find out what you are having? Xxx

kcf90 · 28/10/2020 09:24

@AnxiousAnnie86 I can imagine it’s hard not to compare with the things you felt when you had the miscarriage :( have you done anymore tests today?

Ouch really? Mine has stopped now! I’m hardly feeling anything at the moment and it’s worrying me.

Yeah we are definitely finding out the sex, we are too impatient! Haha xx

@kcf90 yeah bottom one today top one Monday afternoon

I know same! I don't want to know! Do you have a preference x

@AnxiousAnnie86 well that’s certainly looking more positive!! Keeping everything crossed for you! Stay rested!

I would love a girl first. Although I have 2 nieces so everyone else wants a boy haha xx

@kcf90 it's mad in our family we have five nieces, best friends have two girls and other close friends have two girls! Absolutely no boys anywhere

kcf90 · 29/10/2020 18:50

@AnxiousAnnie86 how are things going today? Are you feeling any better? Xx

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 29/10/2020 20:01

@kcf90 hey!!! I'm doing okay ta! Still getting back ache! But I do have a slipped disc which I've had for years so trying to tell myself it's just aggravating that! Keep getting weird pinching pains too!!

How are you doing??? Xx

kcf90 · 30/10/2020 19:37

@AnxiousAnnie86 I’m guessing the tests are still positive? Are you feeling a little better about things?

I’ve had a bit of a down day. Done my first injection today and it’s bruised to particularly black! With red spots which is concerning. Just wish things could be a little smoother :( xx

@kcf90 yeah think tests are looking good, I've made a promise to myself to stop now as I'm driving myself insane, what will be will be..:.

Oucchheeeee that looks sore :( I'm sorry your having such a tough ride lovely, but when you have that little baby it'll all be worth it!! I keep thinking if I could of told myself three months ago, you can be pregnant but uou will feel like we do now I would of taken it in a heartbeat, so trying to be thankful even if it doesn't last :(

AnxiousAnnie86 · 30/10/2020 20:25

@AnxiousAnnie86 those are good strong lines!! Has the cramping eased? I found it hard to stop testing too. I made my husband hide my thermometer, maybe you could do the same with the tests haha.

You’re right. I get so mad at myself for feeling low as this is what I’ve wanted for so long. I want to enjoy every second but I didn’t expect to have to do all these things to keep baby safe. I am grateful to be pregnant, it’s just scary. Hopefully I’ll feel a bit more at ease once I see baby is ok next week and find out about next steps in my care plan xx

@AnxiousAnnie86 how are you getting on? I do hope all is ok. I’ve been thinking about you.

We have our scan today and I’ve convinced myself it’s going to be bad news. I’ve not felt a thing in weeks and it’s terrified me :( xx
