BBT still above coverline after bleed. Help?

Evening all.

I am looking for some advice and opinions please. This is my first month tracking bbt but it hasn’t dropped before AF when I expected it to.

CD19 - Ovulation according to clear blue monitor
12DPO - very very faint line. Brown spotting.
13DPO - another faint line. Heavy dark red bleeding. Assumed AF or chemical pregnancy loss.
14DPO - brown spotting, no red.
15DPO - light brown spotting. Faint line, looks darker than before but still stupidly faint.

I’m really confused and unsure as to what could be happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

The drs just said to go to A&E if I experience any pain but other than that they didn’t have much to say about it. She actually said I know more than she does... sigh. Anyway, I don’t have any symptoms. Maybe mild cramps if I think about it but very mild.

@kcf90 I'm okay, I managed to stop myself testing but then I used an opk as they were positive at the start and it was negative so I've conceived myself somethings happened and I darent test! I've had no bleeding and boobs are sore though... crampings stopped and back ache isn't as bad I'm really panicking though.

What time is your scan, I have everything crossed for you and thinking of you. You've had no bleeding and no cramps etc so I'm absolutely sure it will all be fine and you will see that lovely little baby today xxxx

@AnxiousAnnie86 aw hun, I know it’s easier said than done but try not to read into the opk as they aren’t pregnancy tests. And the line colour did vary for me slightly, I panicked a few times. Have you tried to speak with your doctor? They may be able to help if you are really concerned. Please don’t sit there worrying, get in touch with dr or epu.

It’s at 3.40pm so is going to be a long day. I really really worry I’ve had a missed miscarriage. I’ve literally had 0 symptoms for well over a week or 2. Since my last scan. Everything just stopped. I’ve read it can be normal but more things point towards a missed miscarriage. My husband is heartbroken at how I’m feeling and it’s killing me that I’m ruining this experience for him because of my anxieties. I really do hope I’m wrong and baby is safe and well but something is telling me it’s not. It’s awful :( I should be 11 weeks on Thursday. I hope everything is ok :( xx

@kcf90 I think I'm going to book in for a private reassurance scan, is your husband allowed to go with you today? A lot of peoples symptoms stop I've read.... hopefully today will reassure you and you can start to enjoy pregnancy... have you done any more tests just to reassure yourself? Or would they show positive anyway?
It's so sad isn't it, I keep thinking I'm taking away something I have wanted for such a long time and I should just enjoy it, but I can't x

@AnxiousAnnie86 thank you so much, I shall let you know how it goes. I think my husband is allowed in, at least it says on the letter that he is so as long as nothing has changed.

I did do another test which was positive but I know bodies can keep hcg if baby is still in there. Hopefully it’s all just in my head and we see a nice healthy growing baby soon!

I know how you feel hun, we’ve longed for these moments but they haven’t come to us easily and aren’t giving us an easy ride now it is happening! This journey is just as scary as the last!

Did you manage to book a scan? That test is looking fab hun! I’m glad things seem to be heading in a better direction for you than first thought xx

@kcf90 I really do believe everything will be fine for you and you'll be able to start enjoying it. Yes we are going to do 2nd December, which will put me at ten weeks xx

@AnxiousAnnie86 you were right, baby is absolutely fine and was dancing around happy as Larry in there! I’m 10 weeks 5 days so was a little too early for the official dating scan but it was a relief to see baby and a little heartbeat.

@kcf90 aww that's good then you'll get to see baby again! I'm just waiting on midwife app, I don't know how to date really as going by last period I'm nearly 8 weeks, but going by ovulation I am 5 + 4 I think, so if they go by my period the dating scans and everything will be out

@kcf90 I've gone the thing I've been dreading! I found out I was pregnant last week on a digital 2-3 weeks, and have been putting off doing another weeks digital in case it hasn't progressed! I'm so so relieved x

I had the same problem. They go off your period but then that’s put me out which I knew! I would work it out based on your ovulation so then you’re not disappointed when they do eventually push you back a week or 2. In my case it was 10 days out xx

I think mine will be about two weeks out, I ovulated on Cd32, I work out due date as 5th July but period due date puts me at June 19th x

Hi can I jump on? AF due today, and feeling its immiment. Been feeling really wet down there last couple of days(sorry tmi). My bbt has steadily dropped over last 4 days but still above cover line. Am I out? Congrats on all your BFP!

I did used to find that my bbt slowly decreased before AF. And was sometimes over the cover line during AF too! You’re not out until AF shows though! Xx

Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I'm in limbo atm as I found out I was pregnant a week or so ago. I had the faintest line at 15DPO and didn't get a more clear positive until 22DPO.

Ever since 10DPO I would spot intermittently with pink or brown blood which didn't worry me but the day before last in the morning I felt there was more discharge than usual. It was clear with streaks of pink but as I monitored it through out the day it turned brown in the afternoon while slowly increasing. In the evening it had stained my knickers and turned a rusty to red colour. I was completely hysterical and immediately assumed I was miscarrying. I was still bleeding the next morning (yesterday, 4th Nov 2020) and it looked as though AF was coming, it was increasing in flow, turning more red and had bits of tissue and small clotting when I wiped. I was completely disheartened.

We went to the emergency ward so they could give me an early scan and try to find out what is going on. - Some back story to this - I chart my BBT and have been doing it since October when we started TTC. I didn't ovulate in October according to my charts and I also never had a period that month. So the doctors kept assuming the baby was 10 weeks even tho I kept saying I didn't ovulate that month. When I showed them my chart they then confirmed that the embryo is likely to be younger than they originally thought.

My scan revealed that there was no gestational sac. This could be for various reasons: the pregnancy is still too early and no sac has formed, I lost the sac (which is what I think), or it could indicate an ectopic pregnancy.

They did a physical examination and asked if I was feeling any pain or cramping which I wasn't and haven't really. Perhaps some mild cramping but definitely no pain ever. When she pressed on my right side I felt a bit of discomfort but that's it. When they cleaned my cervix they told me it was closed and still in the pregnancy position. That the blood was old, whatever was causing it. They took my bloods and I have to go back on Sunday. On Monday they can tell me more.

I am still spotting today but much much less and my BBT is still high. I would have assumed a drop if I had miscarried. My symptoms although hardly any just sore nipples have subsided a little but still sensitive atm.

Trying to stay positive but so anxious for my blood test results.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

I’m so sorry you’re going through all of this; I can’t imagine how you must be feeling.

I haven’t experienced this myself but having read so many forums etc. They do say it can be normal to have even red blood in early pregnancy. Are your pregnancy tests still showing positive since the bleeding?

I really hope Monday comes around fast for you and it’s all good news. Keeping everything crossed.

What would it mean if you had lost the sac? I’ve not heard of that before.

When you say you had clots, could it likely have been mucus mixed with red blood? I ask this as even at 15 weeks pregnant, I have really thick mucus which is sometimes mixed with brown discharge.
