Sorry for my last post! Thought I'd lost my comment but half of it remained Blush

Littlebump2018 · 03/05/2020 23:41

@MrsEmilyB and @Juno231 thank you! You've made me feel so much better! I really appreciate it 💗

Juno231 · 03/05/2020 23:50

@Hopefulmummie I mean it's technically best not to... But this can take months and months if you're unlucky so I imagine most probably carry on! I certainly am and just think of all the women who don't even find out they're pregnant until after they've been off there faces at hen dos or whatever 😉.

If you're here there's realistically maybe about a week between implantation and you getting your BFP so exactly how much do you think you'll have time to drink in that time? 😁 (you'll be fine!)

Juno231 · 03/05/2020 23:55

@Littlebump2018 np - fingers crossed this is your month! BTW don't despair if you get a BFN at 12 DPO or whatever - plenty of women don't get a BFP until 15dpo (I know several!) so you're not out until the witch arrives 💪

HiddenBleak · 04/05/2020 00:29

@juno231 I have to keep telling myself that. I checked with a cheap test from amazon but it was negative.. :(

I’ve ordered some opk which should be here in a few days, do you ladies have any links for the process? I’ve never tried them before and this is the first time trying for a sprog

Juno231 · 04/05/2020 00:37

@hiddenbleak if you're using the strip tests I'd recommend femometer (app) to track them with and to follow the instructions in the pack. Unless it's a CB - remember not to use FMU, hold your wee for at least 2h and don't drink too much before testing. Once you get high results start testing more than once a day as you could easily miss your peak otherwise as it sometimes only lasts 4h xx

No links for you sorry but feel free to ask us a million questions!

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 07:22

@velarisstar hello and welcome!

@Hopefulmummie we are also doing SMEP but have been late on one occasion. I don't think it's an issue 💕 best practice is to avoid alcohol, however, my fertility homeopath told me it was fine in moderation. We've cut down to sharing a bottle of red between us at the weekend (1 glass each Friday, 1 glass each Saturday)

Girls, help. I have no bloody clue what's going on with my apps. I track on both Natural Cycles and Femometer - both set to TTC mode. Same data goes in both (I use Femometer as a backup for the LH intelligent recognition).

My Femometer tells me I ovulated 2 days ago. Natural Cycles tells me I am due to ovulate in 2 days. Whyyyyyyyy?

I am disinclined to believe Femometer, as it'd be a early ovulation for me, my temps are still low and I haven't had a positive LH test yet.

Wow this thread is moving so fast about 150 messages since I last looked at 8pm last night 😂

I'll go and have a catch up!

Hope everyone is well today 💕

rathernotshare · 04/05/2020 07:47

Cracked and tested this morning 10DPO, not even a squinter. I know it's probably too early but still sad. However I'm more motivated to wait til 14DPO to test again now if AF stays away🤞

Minster2012 · 04/05/2020 08:10

@rathernotshare fingers crossed it’s just too early 🤞🏻💕sending hugs to you

@MrsEmilyB that’s bizarre?! Keep going with the tests I think. I’m thinking everything Just goes totally weird when you are paying attention so much to it 😕

@MrsLBear 🍀if you were testing today xxx

Juno231 · 04/05/2020 08:10

@mrsemilyb did you input previous cycle data in femometer as well? The ovulation date it gives you is just a guess at the moment - once you confirm it through other means it will recalibrate but in the meantime it sticks to the original date. I think you can go in to the log for that date and specifically state that you didn't ovulate then - not 100% sure of that last bit though.

Littlepeas2 · 04/05/2020 08:11

@myhappystreak that is so funny. We were very similar although we have got 2 children. We had decided we were done a few years ago and then January this year changed our mind, the first time we had sex without protection was so un-sexy because we both just kept looking at each other like ‘oh god we are doing it’ 🤣

Polly2020 · 04/05/2020 08:12

Hi All
Please could I join. So quick bit about me I have two children 16 and 13 I had them when I was very young. I had no desire to have any more until the last 4 weeks and now it's all I can think about so I paid privately to have my implant removed om using premom app and I'm currently CD6. It's so strange I have spent the last 13 years trying not to get pregnant now I'm worried I might not conceive ♥️

RobinRose · 04/05/2020 08:17

Good morning you lovely bunch! Has anyone tried using Ferti•Lily Conception Cup? This is our 3rd month using Ferti•Lily🤞, just wondering if anyone else has/is giving it a go?

@Minster2012 sorry you've still had some bleeding- hope it stops completely soon.

@Hopefulmummie I still drink alcohol but not heavily. I don't think it does much harm, but up to each individual to decide.

@MrsEmilyB I would ignore your apps for now! I think they learn & get more accurate with time. I would go by your opk this cycle- fc for a clear positive soon and then you'll know either way.

So much chat to catch up on! Anyone else testing soon?

rathernotshare · 04/05/2020 08:21

@Polly2020 welcome! I feel exactly the same! Now 26 and had been on the pill since 2008, feels strange hoping for a positive test rather than a negative 🤭 although I'm concerned I didn't have any 'accidents' as I have been consistently terrible at taking it! Good luck ✨

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 08:22

@Minster2012 @juno231 - I haven't been reliably putting data into Femometer in previous months as its usually just natural Cycles and the intelligent LH from Femometer. Maybe that's why!

@hiddenbleak - ill try and find you a link! But here's a brief synopsis. LH is highest between 12pm-8pm so if you test in the morning you're likely to get an inaccurate result. I generally test about 5/6pm after work starting day 8 of my cycle. When it starts to rise into the "high" category, I'll start testing twice daily, once on lunch (12/1pm) and then when I get home. As I get into the really high numbers on "high" before I reach "peak" I'll test 3 times daily at 12/4/8pm. Your peak LH window can be really short, so that ensures you should catch it.

It's still a bit hit and miss though, as things like hydration come into play!

Newbie0818 · 04/05/2020 08:25

Never heard of it @RobinRose, is it like a menstrual cup?

Wow this thread moves fast, hope everyone’s well.

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 08:25

@Polly2020 - hi and welcome! 💖

@RobinRose - what is a conception cup? ❤️

@unluckyducky - welcome to the crazy bus! You've picked a good one 😝

@skyla01 - I trust my natural Cycles as I've been cycling consistently in "prevent" for 8 months. It's just a bit weird! Both were showing same ovulation date until yesterday!

Ltay2 · 04/05/2020 08:36

@MrsEmilyB I use Natural Cycles and Fermometer too. I've been using NC for about 3 years now so more inclined to believe that but I have written down a whole years worth of NC dates and data and painstakingly put it all into Fermometer and even after all that it still conflicts with NC for ovulation date! NC says I am now 11DPO and Fermometer says 12. So confusing but just going to stick with what NC says as it does have more data included over the years.

Polly2020 · 04/05/2020 08:39

@rathernotshare it's so strange isn't it hoping to get pregnant instead of not getting pregnant I was on waiting list to get steralized but COVID happened (thank god) my DH doesn't know what's hit him DTD at least daily and I don't know if it's because the implant has gone but I'm enjoying it all so much again (sorry TMI)

I feel like I have had a personality transplant Iv gone from the least maternal friend in my group to the most my close friends (my bridesmaids) know we are TTC and they actually thought I was joking x

MrsEmilyB · 04/05/2020 08:54

@Polly2020 - life's got a funny way, hasn't it! We knew kids were in our future, and when we were gonna start trying, but were never super maternal. I came off the pill in Sept 19 and the horn was unreal. Then March came along and I just woke up one day and was like I NEED A BABY. Poor DH doesn't know what's hit him 😝
