@Littlebump2018 you could have implantation up until 12 DPO and then it takes another day or two before a test can pick up on it. Even the earliest detection tests say they can pick hcg up as early as 9dpo (IF implantation has occurred) so you're testing even ahead of those!

@GingerBaby89 the LH surge is short for most people so if you only test once a day you'd miss it most likely. Once you get to the high readings you're meant to up testing to 3 times a day pretty much.

becky239 · 03/05/2020 21:53

@danigrace hi 👋 have your cycles returned to normal after DS2? I am currently 6 months into TTC #1 😊

myhappystreak · 03/05/2020 21:54

@becky239 possibly wednesday. FRER tests arriving Tuesday so will probably wait for FMU weds x

danigrace · 03/05/2020 22:01

Yes with DS1 I did ov tests multiple times a day near surge, caught mine usually around 6pm but if I'd done mid afternoon and the following morning I'd have missed it.

@becky239 thank you! And no not yet... But I don't really have a "normal" cycle... if things haven't started to return in the next few months I might try and look in to helping things along again... Do you have a regular cycle?

MrsEmilyB · 03/05/2020 22:06

@Mrsirvine - FISTED 😂 good lord 😂😂😂

@GingerBaby89 - lots of people will test 3 times daily (12,4,8pm) coming up to predicted ovulation day as your peak can be as little as a 4 hour window, so you could miss it testing once daily!

@becky239 - welcome lovely. Its a bit odd that it doesn't necessarily happen at once, isn't it? Is this baby #1?

@babydust13 - I read the statistics that most people will get a BFP within a year - but I always wonder why it takes that long?! I really don't understand it. Our bodies are so amazing. But so confusing. We are 30 and 31 trying for #1 and I am SO READY. I am so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancies 😢

@Littlebump2018 don't write yourself off! HCG levels don't rise until after implantation, which can be as late as day 12! You might not see anything on a pg test until 16dpo!!

@ApplePie86 I really hope you're feeling better soon xx

@danigrace - welcome 💕 we are ttc #1 and this is cycle 2. Due to ovulate this week so fingers crossed!!

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:07

@CoronaBaby do you track your ovulation using OPK's?? If so when was your Positive?? I got my positive OPK 30th April and my app days ovulation was the day after that 😊

rathernotshare · 03/05/2020 22:09

Hi ladies! Thought I'd join... TTC #1 Cycle #1. Stopped pill in jan but no ovulation til 19th April so I'm almost ready to test. I know it's not likely that I'll catch first go but we shall see!

rathernotshare · 03/05/2020 22:10

Whoops not April 19th, CD19! Was the 24th Smile

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:11

@danigrace yes I came off the pill beginning of December and have had a regular cycle since ( give it take a couple of days). How long did it take you to conceive #1?

@MrsEmilyB thankyou 😊 yes this is baby #1. it feels like you spend your life trying to prevent and then when you want it to happen it seems like it never will 🤣 - where in your cycle are you? And how many months have you been TTC??

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:12

@rathernotshare hi! Have you had a Period yet since stopping the pill??

Demi24 · 03/05/2020 22:16

So I’m due AF in 4 days. I’m thinking of testing on 12DPO which is on Tuesday. Anyone else testing around that time? Am I likely to see a correct result on 12DPO?

I really don’t feel like I am this month. No reason particular it’s just a feeling, but I’d still like to just rule it out before AF arrives. This is our 15th month trying 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrsEmilyB · 03/05/2020 22:17

@rathernotshare hello and welcome!

@becky239 - I know! Like, when you're a young teen everyone tells you if you have unprotected sex once that's it: pregnant. It's just not that simple! I've been off the pill since September 2019 but preventing using Natural Cycles and withdrawal, so this is cycle 2 for us! It's cycle day 15 currently so I'm in the middle of fertile week as I usually ovulate arou d CD18. Just waiting for a positive OPK! ❤️

BabyDust13 · 03/05/2020 22:19

@MrsEmilyB thank you I guess it's just one of those things. My OH keeps me calm and positive so we just have to keep going 🌈

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:19

@MrsEmilyB fingers crossed for you! Hopefully this is a lucky thread with two BFP's today! 😊

@Adrianoska
@NicNac85 congratulations to you both 💕

BabyDust13 · 03/05/2020 22:20

@Demi24 good luck 🤞🏼

myhappystreak · 03/05/2020 22:21

Hi @danigrace fingers crossed for you. Would love a close age gap, my daughter will be at least 12 years old by the time I have another haha.

Such a difference having a surprise pregnancy at 18 and TTC at 30.

Cramps are now turning into backache/pelvic pain, obviously majorly symptom spotting.

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:25

@myhappystreak how many months have you been TTC? Maybe this is your month, I look forward to hearing your test result ! What day is your af due ?

rathernotshare · 03/05/2020 22:26

@becky239 yes at the start of April Smile now on CD28

becky239 · 03/05/2020 22:28

@rathernotshare what type of pill were you on ? I stopped mine in December but cycles seemed normal straight away. I've heard different things about how long the pill takes to come out of your system but I keep thinking maybe that's why I haven't had any luck yet

rathernotshare · 03/05/2020 22:32

@becky239 co-cyprindiol, honestly I thought there was something wrong with me, I had a breakthrough bleed in jan and then nothing until my birthday on 6th April 😂 typical! I know google and other people's experience says we're all different and it can take however long but doesn't make you feel much better does it! I also delayed coming off the pill as we'd been to Mexico, so I feel like I've been ready forever!!

myhappystreak · 03/05/2020 23:04

Thanks @becky239 its only our second cycle. We weren't going to start trying until next year, but DF was too excited and suddenly said let's start trying.

Weve used condoms the whole 9 years together and our first time trying he literally was about to come without a condom and said "are you ready for this" totally killed the moment but made me laugh lol.

velarisstar · 03/05/2020 23:09

Hi all, mind if I join? TTC #1, 4th cycle. I have hypothyroidism, so we knew it might take a bit longer than expected. Currently 8dpo. Good luck to everyone and congrats to those BFPs.

myhappystreak · 03/05/2020 23:11

@velarisstar welcome! I'm 8dpo also, any symptoms yet? Any idea when you might start testing? Fingers crossed for you.

Hopefulmummie · 03/05/2020 23:14

Hi everyone.
Cd9 today. Was planning to follow smep plan this month but didn't get round to DTD until this morning so a day late but I can't see it being am issue as I don't ovulate until Cd14.

Can I ask is it best to stay away from alcohol when TTC?

velarisstar · 03/05/2020 23:20

@myhappystreak hi :) fingers crossed for you too. Minimal symptoms, my boobs are on fire (but I can get that from PMT), some CM so let's hope! Probably won't test until 1 day late as a negative test makes me so sad. How about you?

y heart each month,
we especially if test too early.
