Ok, girls, our last thread did get crazy long so I am starting this one. If you don't like the name - well... too bad You'll get used to it over time .

ILTC, hi there sista! I feel like we're SO alike. Can you believe that my bleeding started again today? I was quite . And out of all places it started in a zoo when we were watching little sheep at the "petting zoo" section with DS and DH. Grrreat!~ Hope you're feeling better and this mess if over soon for all of us .

Rosybelle, hi there~ [sends a wave] Com'on over - sorry you're here but it's easier to get through things together. If you read my previous posts you know what I have to say - ERPC (or D&C) all the way. Good luck!

Scully, hi... you sound like me... actually my DH who is very much doubting TCC'ing again. And that's just after one MC! Well... we did have a stillborn DD1 but went on to have a beautiful DS. What would have happened if we got scared back then and didn't do it. Ooops, promised not to talk about it until mid-Oct. That's when my MC blood/ tissue results are back from the lab to tell us what was wrong with the baby. We agreed we wouldn't make any decisions until we find out.

Cricri, I know you won't be chechking this thread until later but hope your weekend in Holland is fab!

Hugs and smooches to all!

Ronshar I thought the same when I saw your stats, I think this thread can be hard when you have been on it a while and think maybe some have disappeared even though they are still ttc. How is your ttcing going? I didn't have proper periods after my MC so now I am on Clomid - hoping for BFP this weekend, fearing the worst though! This is my first month on Clomid. Hope this month is lucky for you and gillydaffodil (and everyone else of course!)

ronshar · 19/09/2007 15:55

NH Up and down! And I say that with out trying to be funny.
DH only wants to have another baby if it is a boy!! We havent really dealt with that one yet. We like to ingore things until they have to be dealt with!
I did try very hard to TTC in June, did every thing at the right time etc. Nothing.
I kind of said to my self that I wasnt going to TTC just see what happens but so far nothing.
I think for a few months I didnt ov but I know I have this month so that is why I am unsure of the best thing to do!

Bet you regret asking me now dont you.
Gilly dont worry it will be you soon.

nh101 · 19/09/2007 16:22

No, it is nice to get a picture of where each name is at - each name and post can blend into one sometimes and it is hard to remember who is in what situaton (which is why I repeat mine so often so sorry if that is really annoying!)

Hello everyone - this thread has got really chatty and I can't keep up but glad everyone's finding comfort in it (well I hope you are)

Good luck all who are nearing testing - I'm some around CD10 (I love the beginning of a cycle when you don't count... I'm getting to the point now where i will kid myself I'm not going to think about and count or use OPKs and then CD14 will come round and I will go loopy again).

G43 - positive vibes for you - I think it must be hard not thinking every twinge means the end... remember pregnancy is full of aches and twinges....

lissielou · 19/09/2007 17:19

xpost wheely (and i am i think)

wheelybug · 19/09/2007 17:20

Hey Gilly - hadn't seen your last post. We seem to be exactly at the same stage - I haven't quite read Zita west but have bought it and mean to start reading it and implementing some of the things in it. I too am planning acupuncture.

Unforetunately though not in the midlands (although was in Birmingham for uni and Shropshire for masters so almost count but thats not much help !) otherwise would take you up on the offer Lissie !!

Lissie - do your doctors think you should give up ? Can they not offer you any hope ??

wheelybug · 19/09/2007 17:20

Aw Lissie - Lets just say theres a few of us that have been round this thread for far too long.

lissielou · 19/09/2007 17:23

we go back on the 8th but my poor body is exhausted now tbh and i think it would be a good idea to just let sleeping dogs lie so to speak. i have ds and that makes me incredibley lucky. i will also be getting free treatments at college so think i will wait til after ive qualified to start clomid. see how i feel then. i was going to give myself til new year anyway.

nh101 · 19/09/2007 17:38

Gilly do you think counselling may help? Go and see your GP. And keep the faith!

Hi Lissie, nice to hear from you. Hope everything goes as you wish at the appt. Do they think Clomid could help you?

wheelybug · 19/09/2007 17:47

Lissie - Am v. impressed you've been able to come to such a hard decision. Well done you (hope that doesn't sound patronising). How long's your course ??

iliketosleep · 19/09/2007 18:08

im in the midlands

can't keep up with the chat! argh!!

I can't make cakefest mark 2. shame we're off to Walsingham for a families pilgrimage weekend which will be fun though!!!

Lissie - I so admire you taking that decision for now. are you going to actively stop ttc, or still not actively use contraception. does that make sense?

ladylush · 19/09/2007 18:38

goingfor3 - sorry to hear you've been so down and anxious. Of course it's perfectly understandable given the circumstances. Women who have miscarried often worry a lot about the successive pregnancies. Hope you get some reassurance soon xx

Well, I'm now a fully fledged student. Apparently, this now means that I have to wear my 15 year old niece's uber-trendy clothes, not change my bedding until Xmas, and drink Newcastle Brown. [Hmm] - think I could only realistically manage the ale bit (and only in moderation).

ronshar · 19/09/2007 19:37

The list of names is making me depressed. I am going to retire for the evening and work up the enthusiasm to bd tonight. It could be the night!!!!!!!!!!
Oh that made it sound like a chore which it so isnt. But I think the pressure of knowing it is tonight or not for another month is too much IYSWIM.
Catch up tomorrow.

ronshar · 19/09/2007 19:38

Well done WMMC.
Dirty student

Dh has got mates round watching the cricket - yawn. Though he is currently in the kitchen teaching a guy from India how to cook a curry .

FlossieF · 19/09/2007 20:27

Hello again! I haven't posted for a while because I've had the delightful experience of a 5 night stay in hospital.

There is too much news too catch up on individually, so I'll just say hello all the people I know, and to the new people, so sorry you are going through this.

My news is this: after my mmc, I tried medical management, and discovered at a follow-up scan a week later that it hadn't worked. I went in for an ERPC that afternoon to finish the job.

Unfortunately that didn't work either. Over the next few days I felt steadily iller and iller, until I went back to the EPAU on Friday morning with a temperature of 39.5. They scanned me again and confirmed that there were still some "products" left, and immediately put me on IV fluids and antibiotics. They decided that the retained products were probably causing the infection, but couldn't do another ERPC until the infection was under control. After much waiting around on nil by mouth, I had the second ERPC on Sunday, was taken off IV antibiotics yesterday morning, and finally discharged this morning. Such a relief to be home - the hospital staff were all lovely, but the food is vile!

I know I've been exceptionally unlucky, but it just goes to show that no way of dealing with a mc is guaranteed, and even ERPC isn't foolproof.

Mind you, one thing to be said for feeling so utterly diabolical is that it puts not being pregnant into perspective, and you just want to feel better again. So, as I can't start ttc until I've finished my 2 week stint of horse tranquiliser sized antibiotics, I'm going to concentrate my efforts on getting healthy before thinking about babies again.

When I do, rest assured, I'll be back, and I hope to see a number of you have moved over to the antenatal threads by then! Best wishes one and all!

iliketosleep · 19/09/2007 20:50

FlossieF, im so very sorry you have had to go through that!

As for moving onto antenatal threads, i THINK we are all staying together here rather than moving on so when you do come back we will all be here

Take care of yourself xxx
