@Leok83 how many dpo are you??

@Fizzl how are you today? Did you have more spotting?

Does anyone feel weird exercising during the tww??
I have this weird worry if i go run that it might prevent implantation ... am i being crazy?

Fizzl · 13/05/2020 09:30

@SunnySideUp2020 I've spoken with the GP and they think my symptoms are because I've had a cycle where I haven't ovulated 😭 been reassured it's totally normal but I am slightly gutted (even tho I know I haven't ovulated yet, I think I kind of hoped I might still where as the impression I got from the gp was it's probably an anovulation cycle so won't happen). No what you want when trying for a baby! I got the reminder to leave it 6months and at the end of the call I did feel like I'd wasted their time and I'm being a neurotic hypochondriac when I've already been told to wait 6 months.

Off to wallow in self pity for the rest of this month now 😔

scrumdiddly123 · 13/05/2020 09:37

Oh @Fizzl how frustrating! What CD are you now? Was the gp quite certain or do you think there’s a chance you may still OV?
I’m CD 18 and my opks are barely there when I normally would have my peak by now, so something not quite right with me either!

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/05/2020 09:37

@Fizzl sorry that s very disappointing to hear i can imagine 😞
You are definitely not a neurotic hypochondriac. Some people might not get how it feels to be ttc and all the stress and worries that come with it but i can reassure you i know people who waste doctors time and are truly hypochondriacs but you really don't sound like one of them. Your body has been through a lot and you just want to make sure everything is ok and it's totally normal. The opposite would be worrying!
At least you have an answer to what might be happening. I hope this cycle picks itself up and gears up to ovulation soon or AF comes and you can start again for a super egg next month !
😘😘

SunnySideUp2020 · 13/05/2020 09:40

@scrumdiddly123 what brand of opk do you use?
Could you have missed it??

scrumdiddly123 · 13/05/2020 11:29

@SunnySideUp2020 I use the one step opks. I’ve just had a shed load of EWCM so all is not lost yet. Also looking back at the start of this cycle, I recorded CD1 on the day where I didn’t start bleeding until late evening. So if I had classed CD1 as the following day then I wouldn’t be expecting a positive opk until tomorrow. I know it’s only 1 day but it makes a difference in my head! We shall see 🤞🏻

Fizzl · 13/05/2020 11:36

@scrumdiddly123 it's CD20 for me now. I suppose there's no way of knowing for definite if I will ovulate or not but they seemed to think that because of the spotting, negative opk's and no temp rise all past when I would usually have expected ovulation to have happened it would suggest it's a cycle where I've just not ovulated. I'm going to keep testing with opk's just to make sure it's just not really late, but I'm not feeling hopeful. There's just been no signs of ovulation this month at all. I've stopped taking the b complex now too as I'm obviously blaming that 😂 no more self medicating with vitamins! Sorry you're experiencing similar, our bodies are so cruel. I'm more annoyed that this month I've been super healthy too as my husband is on a major health kick and although I'm not being as strict as he is as the exercise is too intense, we've been eating really well and I've been doing gentle exercise and yoga and generally feeling pretty good. Very frustrating when despite all this your body has other ideas but hey ho!

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020 that has made me feel better. I don't like going to the gp often as I know how busy they are and always think my niggles are minor in comparison to some people's. But you're right, I know in my mind it was better to get it checked out although I wasn't really told much it was reassuring the hear 'it's normal' to have some mid cycle spotting sometimes - even tho in the end it wasn't really what I wanted to hear!

In re to exercise I still exercise during the tww but make sure it's only gentle exercise. We have a cross trainer so I'll normally go on there for 20-30mins and just take it steady. Before the tww I sometimes do hiit workouts but again I'm trying not to overdo it because I don't want to put my body under too much strain. I avoid all abs workouts in tww.

Leok83 · 13/05/2020 14:19

@SunnySideUp2020 I’m 6 long long DPO! Must have had a secondary oestrogen surge cause of that once off EWCM and temp dropped yesterday morning but it’s hot back up again now. Mad the things you learn happen to your hormones when TTC! Funny after I saw your post I just saw this article on FF about exercise (in photo). I tend to take it easy, walks too but only cause my running fitness gone since the MC pregnancy. Feel so unfit now though.

@Fizzl that’s frustrating but I suppose at least it’s also good to know they’re not concerned. But hopefully they’re wrong about ovulation, I’ve def heard pregnancare can delay ovulation so maybe it is the vitamins. At least with temping you know where you are though..I know that def keeps me sane in all of this!

@scrumdiddly123 that’s good sign for ov! Aswell with the hcg takings it’s time to drop too I’d say a slightly later ovulation would be normal too.

Annny27 · 13/05/2020 16:12

Ahhh @fizzl that's gutting!! Do keep dtd as I have ovulate on cd24 before! And had really low temps all the way up until cd25 after I had ovulated

@Leok83 6dpo! Exciting! I am 4dpo and I haven't made up any symptoms in my head yet 🤣🤣

@SunnySideUp2020 I am still walking briskly everyday but I wouldn't do super intensive exercise in the tww. Although I am a bit crazy and also try not to orgasm in the tww as I read that it can impact implantation 🙈🙈🙈

@scrumdiddly123 ewcm sounds promising and opks can turn positive really quickly!

@milscookie I hope they do the trick for me too 🤞🤞 I find them quite empowering and calming the way she talks :) glad you have made the 6 weeks mark 💗

OP posts:
Fizzl · 13/05/2020 19:36

I'm going to keep going just incase! Not sure how long we can keep up dtd I'm tired just thinking about it 😂

How's everyone else doing?

MilsCookie · 13/05/2020 21:06

@leok83 haha that's so true... but honestly these last 2 weeks have really draaaaagged!!

@Annny27 she's really good isn't she... fingers crossed it contributes to a BFP for you this cycle!!

@Fizzl ohhh man that's so frustrating. I have heard anovulatory cycles are quite common though and most of us have them and don't usually notice. But when you're TTC it's really not ideal! You could definitely just be ovulating late though so keep using the opks like you said!

@SunnySideUp2020 I know what you mean about not exercising in the tww - I also didn't used to do anything once I'd ovulated. But because I was doing my whole "care-free" thing and acting like normal last month, I actually ran that NHS 5k thing (run 5, donate 5, nominate 5) when I was about 3dpo and that didn't have a negative effect! So I'm sure it's okay. The main thing I've read about exercise in early pregnancy is that it is important to do it but don't do anything too vigorous or let yourself overheat.

Really rooting for you all - come on the BFPs!! Star xxxxx

MilsCookie · 13/05/2020 21:09

Can I just add - that when I said I was acting like normal - I definitely didn't mean that running a 5k is "normal" for me!!! (I'm more of an exercise-phobe!) I just meant I wasn't acting like I was pregnant in the tww - so still drinking/having caffeine etc. But two people had nominated me to do the run and I just wanted to get it over and done with - even though I was very slow haha!

Ljm0101 · 13/05/2020 21:26

Hi guys,

I've been a bit quiet in the background this month again 🙈 just catching up on everyone's journeys it's really nice to see a few more BFP's congratulations. Hopefully see some more very soon!!! Xxx

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/05/2020 12:05

Thanks for the thoughts on running- guess i will do it but i tend to properly overhear and get red Shock

So we are at the clinic but i wasnt allowed with dp to see the doc. I am fuming.
I understand there is covid and all but how am i supposed to decide to get help from this place if i cant even get inside or attend an appointment with my partner?

Pointless appointment really

Annny27 · 14/05/2020 15:50

Morning:) 5dpo nothing to report here :p

@sunnysideup2020 ah thats frustrating:( did they say anything useful to your DP?

@Ljm0101 where are you in your cycle?

@MilsCookie haha I got nominated a few times to do the 5k but honestly I really cba to run that 🤣 good on you for doing it!

@fizzl I feel you! The month we ovulate on cd24 I was literally so bored of dtd 🙈🙈🙈

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/05/2020 18:46

Yes they did ultrasound and discussed things and one his testicule has some genetic defect so underperforming and they suspect some prostate infection so tomorrow he is giving more semen and urine and blood hormones levels to check it.
But the urologist said the slow and deformed sperm are often due to infections that are treatable and he is very confident that within 4 months he should be good.

But the most important thing is and i wasnt expecting this one apparently we have faaaar too much sex!
We have it daily normally and he was like to get pregnant you need 2-3 times per week maximum ideally twice otherwise you drain everything and concentration is low...

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/05/2020 18:48

My appointment for fertility MOT is tuesday so we will have a better idea of our full situation then

SunnySideUp2020 · 14/05/2020 18:49

@Annny27 have you got any symptoms so far?

Annny27 · 14/05/2020 20:06

Evening:)

@SunnySideUp2020 yes I think if the male has slightly lower sperms count/ quality then they say every other day or every 3 days is optimum but if there aren't any sperm issues then there isn't an issue with daily sex. That's what I have read anyway.

Thats promising that if it is an infection then the issue could be resolved fairly quickly:D a bit of good news!

And no symptoms at all yet - not even ones I can make up 🤣🤣

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 14/05/2020 21:10

@Annny27 apparently! I am shocked though...
I thought the more the better
The doc apparently even told DP he thinks when we start having less sex we might fix the issue ourselves and get pregnant 😅

I know what you mean about not even having the made up symptoms.. hopefully some real ones start showing soon x

Ljm0101 · 14/05/2020 22:08

Hi @Anny27 I'm on cd 22, my opk's said I ovulated on cd18 but I've been spotting over ovulation and then again today, I'm getting really fed up with my body at the moment, I don't know what it's doing.
@SunnySideUp2020 that is a bit of good news for you, hope the infection gets treated quickly so you can back to ttc. Smile
Hope everyone else is doing well. Xx

Fizzl · 14/05/2020 22:10

@SunnySideUp2020 sounds like they're being really thorough and looking at everything which is positive! I've heard that about the infection before and once it's cleared then it solves the problem pretty quickly! I've also read about sex every other day being optimal if there are issues with the sperm as it gives them more time to regenerate properly. Fingers crossed it might all be things which can be fixed quickly for you!

CD21 here still no ovulation. I've just looked back at old charts and my cycles are normally fairly regular 28-30 days but I have noticed the odd 33 day and one 36 day-er before over the years (which I never gave a second thought to when not ttc). So fingers crossed something might still happen this month! I do wonder what makes my cycles sometimes go a bit skew-iffy. I'm pretty sure it's hormonal but apparently my bloods show everything is fine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Welcome back @Ljm0101

@Annny27 I know the feeling but I also remind myself I had no symptoms when I did get my BFP last year so you never know!

Fizzl · 14/05/2020 22:12

@Ljm0101 crossed posted with you there! I've also had spotting this month around when i would normally ovulate - just my body seemed to miss the memo about actually ovulating this month it seems! I've never had spotting before so I genuinely have no idea what my body is doing either 🙄

Leok83 · 14/05/2020 22:24

@SunnySideUp2020 that sound like good news from the fertility doc! I've heard that about the sperm too so hopefully you will have this sorted in no time. It must be some relief to you both!

@Annny27 I'm same as you, no symptoms. I think it may be better in a way to have something to obsess over rather than nothing as I've taken to poking my boobs in the TWW wishing them to be sore 😄

@Fizzl hopefully this is just one of those long cycles rather than anovulatory cycle 🤞 has the spotting stopped?

@Ljm0101 that's so frustrating. Do you temp to know you def ovulated with that LH surge?

I'm only CD 7 and the itch to POAS has started already. It is definitely an addiction!
