@Fizzl thank you!

@Annny27 thank you! I’m still not feeling pregnant at all, feel like until I see the line darken I won’t believe it! Off in search of some FRER today cause the IC’s are a bit useless for line progression (unfortunately learnt that after the MC waiting for the levels to go down)

@SunnySideUp2020 & @Sparkl don’t lose hope yet! My temp dropped too and had no boob pain either so either sign doesn’t mean ur out.
I’ve everything crossed for ye that ul be getting BFPs💕

@Hoppyhops welcome and sorry you find yourself here. From what I’ve seen and experienced AF generally tends to come late after a MC. As your cycles are pretty irregular it might be difficult to know when to expect it but hopefully it won’t be out by too much for you. Also you can start trying sooner if you felt ready and it’s right for you? Mostly they tell you to wait for dating purposes unless you’ve had a medical reason to wait like molar pregnancy?

Leok83 · 19/04/2020 10:02

@scrumdiddly123 yes you can ovulate with HCG in your system! After MC I was getting HCG done weekly and came back as 12 the day after I ovulated..didn’t fully drop back for 2 weeks after that! Obviously the OPKs can give a false positive with HCG but as they’re low first and then high that’s not likely there. Hard to know if that line was a definite positive or poss a LH fluctuation as it’s the only one up though? Keep doing them for another while just in case but looks like ur body’s at least trying to ovulate😊

Hoppyhops · 19/04/2020 10:10

@Leok83 Thanks for your reply and huge congratulations to you!

I definitely feel ready to try again and, although I haven’t been strict about tracking etc. this month, we’ve still been DTD since a week or so after the MC. I’ve woken up this morning with really bad cramp, feels like AF might be on the way so at least I can start tracking again. My skin, which is normally pretty good, is absolutely awful at the moment too which must be to do with my hormones going crazy- at least I can hide away and not scare people while in lockdown! Grin

Whiffle77 · 19/04/2020 10:39

Hi @hoppyhops and welcome - I think it can vary massively- I expected my first AF to be a week late but it ended up only being a couple of days late. Other people have had very different experiences - it's frustrating but it's good once that first one is out the way. My skin was awful too, lots of tiny little white spots - so gross!
@scrumdiddly123 I got a positive opk whilst still having a very faint positive line on pregnancy test - it felt very odd. Sounds positive though that your cycle is resetting itself

Leok83 · 19/04/2020 10:50

Thank you @Hoppyhops! Yes tracking makes it so much easier to know what’s going on I find! I also got really bad skin after MC..have a very small patch of acne on the left of my neck which won’t go away since, we really go through it with the hormones😞

Dipsy77 · 19/04/2020 11:15

Has anyone used used the Ava bracelet?, I'm thinking of getting one but they are expensive so any experience/reviews would be helpful x

Hoppyhops · 19/04/2020 12:00

Thanks @Whiffle77 and @Leok83 , I suppose I’m not surprised it varies so much when everything else is so individual to everyone too. Glad to hear the awful skin is pretty normal though. We women have a raw deal!

@Dipsy77 I keep seeing this advertised on SM and would also be so interested to hear people’s reviews!

scrumdiddly123 · 19/04/2020 14:32

Thanks @Leok83 that’s interesting to know!

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/04/2020 18:03

Caved in and tested BFN here ... will probably try tomo with FMU though 😞

Leok83 · 19/04/2020 18:09

Oh no @SunnySideUp2020 😞. Still early days though! 🤞for you!!

I tested again today and the line is the same/very faint and the IC looks even lighter so now I’m all stressed it’s a CP😩wish I’d just waited until tomorrow to test again.

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/04/2020 18:20

@leok83 i think you should leave at least two days in between tests no?

I remember also @triedandtestedteacher had tests that seemed lighter but everything was good!
So wouldn’t rely too much on this...

Leok83 · 19/04/2020 19:19

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020..ya it does take 48 hrs for HCG to double so I think I’m just torturing myself!

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 00:46

Hi Ladies, I really hope I can join this thread with you, sorry to jump in!

I've been following this thread since day 1 and I have to say that it's been lovely to read the stories about the BFP's and even twins! Congratulations to those of you that have fallen on!

It's also been so helpful to me to read about your journey's with BFN's and weird cycles and I'm so grateful to have found this thread, I've been wishing you all luck while lurking and finally got the nerve to post.

I miscarried naturally in January on the day of my twelve week scan after TTC our first child. I'm only 24 and nobody I know, not in my family or friendship circle, has ever suffered a miscarriage. DH doesn't understand the craziness of constantly checking cycles and POAS even though he tries.

I'm on my 3rd cycle since MC and we DTD every day before my predicted ovulation date this month. I'm hoping you ladies can help me with the TWW as I'm still 5 days away from AF and it's driving me nuts!

Sorry for the long post and thank you all for sharing your journeys so openly Smile

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 07:41

Welcome @glitterfairy
Sorry you are joining the club 😟
In my circle i had barely heard of mc either but it is much more common than we think...

AF is 4 days away for me too. Have you tested early?

@Leok83 how is it looking today? X

I haven’t tested today with Fmu... will do tomorrow!
What about you @Sparkl ?

Leok83 · 20/04/2020 08:10

@SunnySideUp2020 it’s still very very faint/possibly fainter so I think this is a CP😢 just wish something would happen one way or the other now as being left in this limbo is torture.

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 08:16

Hi @SunnySideUp2020

I tested yesterday but got BFN, suppose it's probably too soon as I'm 10 dpo today. I've done so well not testing early but this time I've felt different for the last couple of days so I caved. I know it's probably my mind playing tricks on me!

I know what you mean, I had no idea that getting a positive was only the start. I naively believed that once I saw that second line I was gonna be a mum no questions asked. My best friend has two beautiful children and everyone in my family has been asking since I got married when it's my turn. Sad

I had no fore warning or cramping and then at 6am on the day of my scan I woke up with an urge to run to the bathroom and that was it, I lost so much blood so quickly that I fainted within fifteen minutes. When I managed to get to hospital that same day they kept my original scan appointment and said the pregnancy had already almost fully cleared. DH was devastated.

But thankfully it all cleared and even seems to have regulated my cycle so I suppose that's a positive.

Sparkl · 20/04/2020 08:18

Hi @Hoppyhops and @GlitterFairy1412 and sorry you’re joining us. I’m the same, hadn’t heard of anyone I know having a mc, anyone having fertility treatment I kind of assumed had never got pregnant. Crazy how we’re not taught this stuff somewhere.

@Whiffle77 @Leok83 thank you for your positivity! Obviously still holding out a little bit of hope but I’ve been really crampy and it’s all the same symptoms I’ve had the last three cycles where I’ve been properly tracking and not been successful.

@sunnysideup2020 disappointing to see a bfn but it really is early. I’m caught between being very certain AF is on the way and wanting LP to be longer enough to test! But probably won’t test until Wednesday either way. My temps are not high enough to get a positive I think.

Sparkl · 20/04/2020 08:25

Oh @Leok83 have just seen your post, sorry to hear it’s not stronger yet. I never really thought about continuing to test until being on these threads. How many dpo are you now? Could still just be early maybe?

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 08:30

@Leok83 lovely sorry to hear the tests aren’t getting darker... i have everything crossed for you, hopefully it’s not a CP Just a slow rise 🤞🏽💕

@sparkl wise women :)
Let’s see wednesday then. 🤞🏽

@GlitterFairy1412
It must have been very tough that it happened on 12 week scan day. Sorry x
And yes i think most of us really thought positive pregnancy test = baby
But no, as you say it’s only the start...

Leok83 · 20/04/2020 08:33

@Sparkl I’m 14 DPO today, so I don’t think it’s too early. I’m pretty sure something isn’t right with the progression of those lines. Part of me wishes I hadn’t retested but on the other hand at least I won’t be massively shocked if AF comes. TTC is such a bloody cruel game😢

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 08:38

@leok i think it’s good that you tested, even though cp are heartbreaking- IF it is one, you can talk about it to your GP and perhaps count towards having some more tests done?
Xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 08:39

@ChampooPapi how are you lovely?
When you said you stopped vitamins did you also stop taking folic acid?

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 08:40

@Leok83 I was told line progression on a test wasn't always reliable because even tests of the same brand can have different dye concentrations in them. Not sure how right that is but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞 A positive is a positive and I hope it's sticky. Flowers

@SunnySideUp2020 it was hard, I expected to wake up that day excited to see my baby and instead was rushed to A&E. Taught me that no amount of planning can force things to go our way sometimes. Sad

How do people distract themselves from symptom spotting? It's driving me mental even after a BFN this cycle!

Sparkl · 20/04/2020 09:04

@SunnySideUp2020 I was thinking about that actually, we do need to know about cps in case they show a problem.

@Leok83 I think it is good to test, I was just remembering that I didn’t test until 18dpo when I got my bfp and I imagine a lot of people who aren’t ttc don’t test until later as well (I was ttc but was very relaxed about it back then) so it might be more common than we know. So annoying though that you still have to wait after getting a positive, would be so much nicer to be able to relax, fingers crossed they get darker soon x

ChampooPapi · 20/04/2020 09:10

Hey @SunnySideUp2020, obviously crossing all parts of myself for you this month. My due date would have been the 4th of May so I know how you are feeling, I really do. Keep being you, keep being strong, and keep on trucking because it will happen, you are fertile and you can get pregnant. But the body needs this horrendous time in-between to heal and be ready to carry the next one. But it's been a fair few months now so yes, get this women pregnant universe!

In answer to your question, yes! I stopped everything in a paddy basically. I had been on folic and liquid vitamin d, plus spa tone iron. (The iron is taken for like the last ten years so didn't stop that).

But stopped my vitamin d and folic, I'd been taking the dam stuff since last June as that's when I started trying and was just so done with the whole process. So the month I conceived the twins I was taking no suppliments at all. I stopped I February and caught in March so it was all well out of my system.

Upped the dose now though obviously!
