Morning girls :) my boots are fuller (around 5dpo) so confirms to me that I did ovulate around when I thought I did as my books always grow a little in tww. Every month I think oh perhaps they have grown forever now and then after period they shrink back down 🤣🤣

@Leok83 keeping everything crossed for you that AF stays away 💗

@GlitterFairy1412 sorry to hear you are joining us. That must be so cruel on your 12 week scan day :( we had a mmc so happened at 11.5weeks but baby stopped growing a few weeks before!

@SunnySideUp2020 are you having any symptoms atall?

@sparkl must be same as me then - we started trying in June 2019 so fast approaching the year mark :S

In terms of knowing others with miscarriage, my mum had a MC before having me and my siblings and a few friends I know have had a mc so I felt supported from them!

Wow I haven’t checked in for a while & so much going on
Fingers crossed that BFP sticks @Leok83 🤞🏻🍀

@Hoppyhops my AF came exactly 28 days after my MMC & yet I’ve never really had a period before so it’s just wait & see, our EPU told us 4-6 weeks after MC & first real blood is first day.

I’m CD8 today so going to try OPKs for first real time & see but it doesn’t really matter as just going to DTD a lot &🤞🏻🤞🏻, we DTD on fri & sat “for fun” anyway 😂

Fingers crossed for all xx

MilsCookie · 20/04/2020 10:33

Welcome @Bubblybon56 @Hoppyhops and @GlitterFairy1412 I'm so sorry you find yourselves here. Like you Glitter I didn't really know anyone who'd had a miscarriage, but quite a few people who'd had successful pregnancies so you just assume that's going to be you when you get a positive test! But now I think when people do pregnancy announcements, as much as it always hurts, I have to think that they might have been on a long journey to get there.

@scrumdiddly123 I think you probably can still ovulate with hcg in your system as some people get pregnant again without having a period after a mc! Did you do any more OPKs?

@Leok83 ahhhh I really hope the lighter lines don't mean anything and your bean is starting to grow nicely in there. Fingers crossed for you lovely and I hope you're okay. Must be such a stressful time :-( sending positive vibes!

@Annny27 hahaha your post made me laugh. I wish I could have my pregnancy boobs back - they pretty much doubled in size! I'm around 6dpo I think so similar to you and my boobs started to hurt about 2 days ago like they usually do pre-AF so I'm not hopeful at all. The cycle I conceived my boobs didn't hurt AT ALL until I was about 6 weeks! It's so annoying because I think I've come to learn that my boobs being sore means I'm not pregnant this month, so I have a verrrry long TWW just waiting for the witch to show! Sad

@SunnySideUp2020 sorry it was a BFN yesterday lovely but you're still early!! Try and hold out as long as you can! Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

Fingers crossed for you too @Sparkl try to hold out til Weds! xxx

Hoppyhops · 20/04/2020 10:48

@Leok83 Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 I also read that it takes Hcg 48 hours to double so try, if you can, to give it time (easier said than done when we’re in the middle of a pandemic with little else to think about, I know).

@Minster2012 Thanks, it’s good to hear what other people have been through/been told. It’s been 4 weeks for me since MC and I’m starting to get AF symptoms so I hope it’ll be sometime this week. Good luck with the OPKS and fingers crossed for you too. 🤞🏼

@GlitterFairy1412 Sorry that you’re here too- that must have been really tough. I know what you mean about feeling in the minority. I think it’s because people don’t tend to be so open about their fertility struggles. I hate it when others keep asking DH and I when we’re having a baby. My MIL has been on our case about grandchildren since we got married 3 years ago- it used to annoy me when we weren’t trying but even more so when we were. She knows about the MC now so, in a funny way, I think it’ll help in terms of her backing off and stopping with all the pressure.

Ejb86 · 20/04/2020 10:54

@sparkl we weren't particularly trying for the twins. Had unprotected sex once that month. About a week after AF was due intested and got a faint line on an IC, even with twins!

I'm quite the opposite to a lot of you, I remember my mum having multiple miscarriages when I was young. She lost my sister at 20 weeks in the March then had my brother in the January. She had more miscarriages after he was born.

When I was about 34 weeks pregnant with my son, my friend went for a gender scan and found her baby had passed at 16 weeks.

She was invaluable to me when I lost my girls. She cried down the phone with me and was able to talk me through every step of what was going to happen. She was my lifesaver.

Whiffle77 · 20/04/2020 11:34

I'm the same @ejb86 my group of friends and my husbands group of friends have had awful luck when it comes to baby loss, so I had the naivety taken away well before I got pregnant. And that's just the people who have talked about it! I really feel fertility and loss should be taught far more in schools as we were all so unprepared for it all. Instead you are taught not to even look at a penis once as you will def get pregnant!!
@MilsCookie my boobs got huge and painful pretty much from ovulation last time so I was sure I was out this time, however they only started getting bad from about week 6 onwards so it won't be the same every time I think. It's so hard not to symptom spot but every cycle is so different that I dint think symptoms mean much. They are now horrendously painful and look ridiculous so that's good! 😂
Keeping my fingers crossed @Leok83 - line progression doesn't always happen, as long as AF hasn't come yet then you are still in with a chance. I would think a CP would be quicker than this too?

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 11:50

Thanks for your message @ChampooPapi
I needed to hear that! Had a mini breakdown this morning because i KNOW it’s another unsuccessful cycle, just had to let it out and cry!!! Feel better now :)

Ok for folic acid- honestly i am thinking about dropping everything for may and try to detach a little.

@Annny27 i was laughing literally when reading about your “boots” being fuller. and your “books” always growing 🤣🤣
But glad that you ovulated

@MilsCookie thanks 😊. Keeping everything crossed for you too 🤞🏽

Annny27 · 20/04/2020 12:46

@MilsCookie Ah ita disheartening when you start to see patterns in the month which means AF other than pregnant :( but hopefully each pregnancy is different and your bfp will surprise you!

@sunnysideup2020 Hahaha I just re read my message and realise it said books and boots instead of boobs 🤣🤣

@Hoppyhops my AF arrived around 45 days after the start of my miscarriage!

scrumdiddly123 · 20/04/2020 13:06

Welcome @GlitterFairy1412 and so sorry about your miscarriage. Hopefully you will find lots of support on here!
@MilsCookie yes I’ve kept testing and got a ‘peak’ reading last night. Going to keep testing today and see what happens! Still getting faint bfps so it’s a bit confusing! Also had EWCM which was completely blood tinged so don’t know what to make of that.

Catching up - ttc after miscarriage part 2
Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 13:17

@Scumdiddly123 when do you find out more from the consultant on the bloods was that what the next stage of trying to find out what’s going on is? The faint BFPs are still bizarre 🤷‍♀️. Can I ask if those timings on your OPKs are accurate is that when you do them? I’m still learning, would you usually get a high then low then a peak over 2 days?

I just massively failed to even hold a wee for over 2 hours so I think I’m going to struggle 🤣😂I’m also rubbish at BBT they are all over the place despite being v similar times in the morning!

MilsCookie · 20/04/2020 13:43

@scrumdiddly123 I think if you're having ewcm and a positive opk I think that's a really good sign that you're ovulating! Did you have a bleed already with this pregnancy? Sorry I can't remember...xx

@Annny27 @SunnySideUp2020 haha I didn't even read that Anny had put boots and books! Grin I read it back and it made me laugh too - I must need some glasses!

@Whiffle77 thank you for the reassurance... god I hope you're right but I really think I'll moving on to cycle 5!!

Can I just vent for a sec... how come we're dtd every month in the fertile window and NOT getting pregnant, even though we've been pregnant before?! What's that all about?! I feel so annoyed at my body Hmm wahhh. I think if I hadn't been pregnant before and we weren't tracking ovulation or anything I'd be a lot more chilled and just like, oh it can take up to a year... but I know it's happened before so why is it taking so long?! WAH!

scrumdiddly123 · 20/04/2020 13:48

@Minster2012 I’m going back next Monday for another scan and blood test.
Yes the times on the pic are when I’ve done them (or thereabouts). I wouldn’t normally get a high and then a peak the following day but then I imagine my hormones are all over the place so not going to read too much into it. Just taking it as a good sign that my cycle is hopefully regulating.
I’ve never done temping before but decided I will just to give me a better idea of what’s going on. So will be learning all about that next cycle!

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 14:07

Well @scrumdiddly123 it’s a good thing that you are ovulating so fingers crossed you can get pregnant again quickly

scrumdiddly123 · 20/04/2020 14:17

@MilsCookie yeah I’ve bled/spotted constantly pretty much since the end of March. Just torn now whether to dtd again or just leave it in the hope my hormones will all settle down and I can have a clean slate from the next cycle! But when you know you’re ovulating it’s hard to ignore 😬
Where are you in your cycle? Must be so frustrating when you know you can get pregnant! My sister was the same, had 2 MCs and then struggled to conceive afterwards. They had a big holiday booked so decided to have a couple of months off and then of course she fell straight away! It will definitely happen for all of us xx

scrumdiddly123 · 20/04/2020 14:18

Thanks @Minster2012, fingers crossed!

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/04/2020 14:52

@scrumdiddly good that you are ovulating or looks like it!
It would probably be good to give your body a little break and wait for your next scan and blood to be back to normal before starting again (that was the wise voice) but i know how much you want this- just like all the ladies here- so go for it when you feel it’s the time!!! X

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 15:15

@Whiffle77 @Hoppyhops my MIL is a bit of an odd one, she doesn't have the best relationship with either of her sons so it's trying to talk to her at the best of times, but actually when I miscarried she stopped talking to us altogether. Upsetting now I think about it because she was only interested when we were pregnant, but in a way it made things easier as she's a handful of stress usually!

I'm so glad that others on here had a support network to help them through what I know must have been one of the most difficult times of your lives.

I'm on CD25, 10DPO and wondering if anybody else gets a weird 'full' feeling for the week before? I'm due AF on the 25th and normally I'm bloated by now. This feels more like there's a hand around my uterus and it's permanently squeezing it. Also suffering heartburn which I've mercifully never experienced before. Is Gaviscon safe to take for it? Not holding out much hope for pregnancy this month but just in case don't want to risk anything.

Ejb86 · 20/04/2020 15:18

@glitterfairy1412 Gaviscon is absolutely safe to take. Some women neck bottles of the stuff when pregnant!

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 15:20

@Ejb86 thanks! I've never had heartburn but my husband gets it regularly! I know what he's complaining about now, I feel bad for calling him soft 😅

scrumdiddly123 · 20/04/2020 15:44

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you, it’s definitely good to listen to the wise voice once in a while. Especially when this TTC can sometimes leave me feeling like a crazy person! Xx

Hoppyhops · 20/04/2020 18:36

@GlitterFairy1412 Gosh she sounds like a difficult MIL. I’m lucky, mine is usually good but she can just be intense about having grandchildren and DH is an only child so it can get a bit much.

Sorry, another question for people. I didn’t take any vitamins or anything when TTC last time- obviously did take pregnancy vitamins as soon as I found out I was pregnant, but I wanted to take some when TTC this time just incase that made any difference. I’ve seen that I can get Pregnacare conception tablets for both me & DH- does anyone know if they’re any good or recommend any others?

GlitterFairy1412 · 20/04/2020 19:33

@Hoppyhops I use the Holland & Barret's pre-conception because it has everything the pregnacare one does but it costs less. Downside is it has a weird taste if you keep it in your mouth too long. Hmm

Minster2012 · 20/04/2020 22:29

@Hoppyhops I’m taking the seven seas trying for a baby one & omega fish oils
A fair few ppl think the pregnacare lengthens cycles so I thought I’d go for a different one

Leok83 · 20/04/2020 23:01

Thanks ladies for all your well wishes💕Unfortunately today’s test was even lighter/barely there. No sign of AF but just wish it would come now as def is a CP based on the tests. Rang my GP and on the positive side she’s going to refer my to gynae for tests once I’ve had AF as she said she doesn’t like to wait for 3 MCs as recommended and tends to refer after 2. She said she normally checks level but with Covid it’s better not to as wont change anything now. Will probably take forever for a referral during a pandemic I’d imagine though. Will need scan if AF hasn’t arrived in a week but I’d imagine it’s not far away.

@SunnySideUp2020 & @Sparkl how are you guys doing in the TWW? Any more tests?

@GlitterFairy1412 welcome and thanks for your kind words yesterday. I’m sorry you are here too. Hopefully that heartburn is a good sign! I do suffer from it too (non pregnancy related!) and it’s terribly uncomfortable but I can tell you I prefer it to gaviscon!! Yes it’s safe for pregnancy but prepare yourself it’s absolutely disgusting!! Or maybe that’s just me!

Ejb86 · 21/04/2020 06:15

@leok83 I find the mint gaviscon is bearable. I hate aniseed so the standard one is definitely not for me!
