Is this positive?

Hi everyone,

I took this test today and I am 5 days late for AF. I have taken some internet therapies all with ridiculously faint lines and I just didn't trust them.
Then I took this and this came up. It did show fairly quickly but was more obvious after about 10-15 mins once test had properly dried. Could it be an evap?

Looks positive but the line is weird?! Is there a second one?

The line is dark on the left side but gradually looks shaded if that makes sense? Which made me wonder if it's an evap xx

Thank you organic, it has come as a surprise but a welcomed one. I'm just worried it's an evap as all the others were pretty much negative. I've ordered a digital one which I will do tomorrow to hopefully confirm xx

I’d say definitely a positive, but can you take another one to be sure?

@Jellybellymoo that is an evap I think, however if there was a faint line before then its still positive. I used one like this and had a faint thick line but it has to be thick, after about 20 mins it went like your one has, so it was positive but you have to look before the time limit. Hope that helps. Try a pink dye one. Be careful of digital, I had 3 faint positives but digital was negative, waited 3 more days and digital was positive too. :)

Thank you all, biscuit that's what I'm worried about. I dont want to get excited thinking its positive to find out in a few days it was just an evap line. Maybe I'll get some first responses as they always seem to be more accurate. They are all just so expensive aren't they! Xx

@jellybellymoo dont be disheartened! Mine went like that AFTER they showed a positive line. So if there was something there before the line went thin like that then you're pregnant! I know I spent a fortune on tests, but it feels worth it when you see those lines getting darker! I have my fingers crossed for you, keep us updated xx

Errr..... I don't think you can get more positive than that.

Biscuit your line seems to be thicker, that's what is making me doubt the result! This was just a cheap tesco test. Thank you for all the comments I will take another one tomorrow and update you with result, keeping my fingers crossed now! Xx

I did a clear blue digital this morning which was negative but I did a pink dye internet cheapie and the line was slightly darker and more noticeable! I'm still confused 🙈xx

Hmmm clear blue are usually very accurate...

Maybe not enough hcg yet for the digital to pick. I've read that before about the digitals x

I had e exact same blue thin lines in Tesco tests, 2 tests and I care on af the day after so I assume I'm wasn't pregnant, I think it's an evap and it

@Jellybellymoo that sounds promising to me!! If you had a pink line then it's very likely you're pregnant! My digital didnt pick it up until a few days after AF was due.

Hmm this waiting is tough isn't it! Yeah I did think the digital ones weren't terribly accurate if your early! But I am a week or so late now 🤔 I'll take the other one I have tomorrow morning and see what it says. I dont feel pregnant and have no symptoms which is strange. I have 2 children already so know what to expect. I guess time will tell, I'll update in the morning ☺ xx

@Jellybellymoo - I hope you get the result you want. You sound like you desperately want it to be positive. How old are your children? Xx

To be honest it's not really come at a great time, were just in the process of moving house and things are quite stressful. I just want to know so I can start to get my head around it. We always planned another baby after we moved. My other 2 are 5 and almost 3. Thanks autumn, I will be ok either way to be honest, but it would be a happy surprise. If I had a choice in timing, I would probably wait a few more months xx

However now I'm wondering if I may be pregnant, it is difficult not to get excited about it xx

Of course, it's just the not knowing isn't it.

I know it's hard, but maybe try and give it a week or something, let your body and hormones settle down. Overthinking and wondering will have an impact on your body as well.

What will be will be. And if you're not this time, then you can get cracking with the move and in a few more months get trying as planned.

That said if I had taken a test and got the result you posted initially. I would be thinking I was pregnant. You've not dreamt it up. The test does look positive.
