Never started a bus before.
I’m out for March as just got af and have long cycles.

Will be hoping for a bfp mid April.

Anyone want to hop aboard?

I’m ttc#2 cycle#4

Ds turning 2 this month so hoping to give him a sibling for Christmas 😁

@OrangeJ yes only one parent has to be a key worker as far as I'm aware.

We did pretty well, 4 times during the week 😂 so we've covered FW the best we ever have. If it doesn't happen this month I don't know what the issue is, it's cycle 3 for us this time and DD was conceived cycle 2, although that was almost 3.5 years ago.

AliSxo · 21/03/2020 15:54

Hi can I join please? CD6, due to ovulate next weekend, looking for some friends to keep me going this cycle 💗 xx

Cloudmtb · 22/03/2020 00:41

The new guidance for pregnant people sounds promising for TTC - I continue to flit each day between the two paths.

It is just one key worker but should only be used if there is no other safe alternative to mimise risk to all involved.

Hatepickinganame · 22/03/2020 09:44

@OrangeJ yeah its def only one, who knew my "unskilled shelf stacking" job was now a key role in keeping the country functioning? I just wish people would stop panic buying. Who really needs more than a couple of packs of pasta anyway?? 🙄 reckon this tww will be the quickest of them all, i dont have time to think about it, let alone obsess. Happy mothers day to all anyway, and fingers crossed for anyone still trying at the moment x

Nico89 · 22/03/2020 10:05

Hey. Finally at the point of being ready to start ttc , dd is 4.... In such a dilemma currently, is it irresponsible to be ttc during the pandemic? Should I be waiting?

Hatepickinganame · 22/03/2020 10:24

@Nico89 its a personal choice i think, ive decided that what will be will be. Im very much a life has to go on kind of person, and women have been having babies for centuries in much worse conditions... i think we all just have to make a call thats right for us at the moment. Having said that every now and then my anxiety flares and i question myself all over again 🙄🤣

Sausage1990 · 22/03/2020 11:08

Hi ladies... I've decided to straddle both the March and April buses 👋🏻 hi to all the names I recognise from the Jan, Feb & March buses.

Af hasn't arrived for me yet but I'm on CD 39 and had a few BFN. I assume we didn't succeed this month so I'm just waiting for af to arrive now. There's a tiny part of me hoping I just ovulated late and that I may be still in with a chance but I've made peace with the fact that af will be here soon and it wasn't our month.

Just to join in with the covid-19 chat... We're going to keep trying too. We're on a position of job & financial security, and although I do work for the NHS and will be helping on wards, if I was to conceive at any point I can move to non-patient-facing work so it'll be OK. I also feel like it's going to take another few cycles for us so I don't really want to put it all on hold... And I kinda agree with @Hatepickinganame - gota keep going!

Xx

Sausage1990 · 22/03/2020 11:45

Also I found this post about pregnancy guidelines for covid-19 for the population ... It also adds about those who work within health care and what to do. I found it very helpful and reassuring to read because even if I found I was expecting right now, it would be September before I hit the 28 week mark so it's reassured me to continue to try 😊

Hope it's helpful for you too if you're torn. 👍🏻

Nico89 · 22/03/2020 12:40

Thank you all for your input. We haven't actually started yet, I still need to have my copper coil removed but a lot has been done to even get to this point as I have other health conditions (mental and physical) which I needed to be certain were all under control first. While it's no where near as disappointing as actively trying and getting nowhere it still feels like a kick in the gut as I'm guessing I won't be able to get an appointment with the gp to have the coil removed under the current circumstances x

buckingmad · 22/03/2020 13:01

Hi everyone.

Am new to mumsnet!

We have been off contraception for about two years but only actually trying properly for 2 months. We did BD 3 times during my fertile window (although this is based on Flo rather than ovulation tests) and I am now 3 days late according to Flo. Did a test yesterday which was BFN.

I did have a funny few days last week where I felt off my food and dizzy and now have sore boobs but that could be PMS.

How long would you guys wait before doing another test?

Adrianoska · 22/03/2020 22:46

Hello everyone! I can recognise some names so sorry if I bore you with my story again 😋😘

I am Soooo DESPERATE for the BFP 🎉

I am 36. I have two kids from my previous marriage (12 and 6). My husband does not have children and he is 30.

We had accidental pregnancy 7 months ago that ended up in early MC. I stopped mini pill 4 months ago and we have been actively TTC all that time. I am tracking my ovulation with tests last two cycles (just to find out the apps were waaaay out).

My cycles are quite short nowadays, around 24/25 days. I should be ovulating around 28th of March, I am on 6cd.

I have been taking pregnacare conception, drinking this nasty stuff Proceive Max, smearing myself in Conceive Plus, chasing my poor husband around the bedroom almost every day and NOTHING 😢

We are now obviously more or less stuck at home so I hope for some results... But I am really really sad that we didn't catch yet. I worry terribly about my age and fertility and I swear I want that baby so much!

Fingers crossed it will happen for all us very soon ❤️

2020journey · 24/03/2020 08:38

Morning All

Hope everyone is doing ok in these crazy times? Got my first positive OPK today...eeek...it's a few days earlier than expected as I was expecting ovulation to be Saturday so I'm glad I was testing or could have potentially missed it! My OH is at home from today as well now, perfect timing.....!

Juno231 · 24/03/2020 11:08

@2020journey good thing you were testing! what CD are you now?

I've just graduated from the March bus as today is CD1 for me! AF was late so had my hopes up as that doesn't normally happen but alas now I'm here. Will be going strong on the OPKs this time round as I think I probably ovulated several days later than I thought I would last cycle.

On the bright side - the delayed AF means I no longer have a Christmas due date as it's shifted to 29th Dec for an April conception. Not that I'm crazy or anything Grin.

Adrianoska · 24/03/2020 16:53

Ayup @Juno231 😘

Juno231 · 24/03/2020 16:58

@Adrianoska haha did not expect to hear ayup from you!! Are you in FW now?

MoonW · 24/03/2020 18:26

So very excited to report that I got an unmistakable positive OPK this evening Grin

I had EWCM on the 19th, 20th & 21st with only slight lines showing on OPKs on those days so was confused if I’d missed the surge but obviously not. We’ve been DTD every other day and will again tonight so guess about to start the TWW!

How’s everyone holding up today? Xx

Sausage1990 · 24/03/2020 19:39

Ohhh that's exciting @MoonW we love a peak opk here haha

I'm currently still awaiting af on cd41 with another BFN so definitely out this month. I think with all the raised anxiety and stress (I work for the NHS) I must have ovulated late. So I'm just guna sit back and wait for af to arrive 👍🏻

MoonW · 24/03/2020 19:45

@Sausage1990 thank you! I’m sorry to hear that you’re out this month though. I’m also NHS so completely understand the stress side of things! Flowers

Right01 · 25/03/2020 00:35

Hi im also new to mums net! And new to the TTC club. I had implanon removed mid January and have short cycles at 23 days! Last cycle was tough got to 7 days late for AF and BFN; felt like AF was sittin waiting till i took the test and Boom!! She arrived as soon as i took it :,( but head up this time on CD6 using the app Flo. Any other advice for tracking any better apps greatly appreciated!!
Xx

Juno231 · 25/03/2020 07:36

@Right01 hello and welcome! Are you using any OPKs or something to track when you ovulate? I'm thinking with cycles like yours it would be really easy to miss ovulation unless you're DTD all the time anyway!

fingerscrossed95 · 25/03/2020 08:32

Hi please can i join you all, I have been TTC since March last year, we unfortunately had a miscarriage in June at 7 weeks. Currently on cycle day 4, I have purchased the clearblue fertility monitor does anyone have any experience using this?

Florence13 · 25/03/2020 08:33

Hi everyone that's joined the thread.
I am now in the waiting game AF due on 2nd April, so guess we will have to wait and see. I also work for the NHS so understand the stress your all feeling.

podmama · 25/03/2020 09:04

Hi ladies, I'm new here too! 😃
Been using the Flo app since I came off COCP in November, but only decided to start TTC last week. I think I'm either 4 or 5DPO and due AF 4th April - my cycles are down to 26 days now.
We wanted to wait until after our wedding in June but with all this going on it's been cancelled 😢 so hopefully baby first then we'll rebook our wedding once this is totally over!

karenkeys · 25/03/2020 11:27

When’s everyone planning on testing in April? I’m due AF on the 1st but likely will test a few days early (this weekend) to try and find out sooner.

karenkeys · 25/03/2020 11:30

@podmama so sorry to hear your wedding was cancelled. We had our wedding last June and I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be with everything going on after how much time is spent planning a wedding. At least you can focus on starting your family in the mean time and you’ll get your wedding. It might be nice having a little one be part of the day anyway!
